Abstract

Steam power plant construction and operation is an effort to meet electricity needs. In Indonesia, two steam power plants were built and changed the landscape in Cirebon. The presence of Cirebon steam power plants has disturbed the community and potential to decrease air quality. This study aims to estimate air quality changes around the power plants based on remote sensing satellite imageries. The main data in this study obtained from Landsat-8 OLI (2019) and Landsat-7 ETM (2004) satellite imageries were processed with four parameters of air quality algorithm namely PM10, CO, SO2, and NOx on AOI with ranging of 2000 m from the source point. Validation uses comparative data from MODIS and Sentinel-2 MSS satellite imageries in the same period. Changes analysis in air quality used the Mann-Whitney method (U-Test). This research shows that the Landsat series satellite imagery is suitable to be used as the main data for estimating air quality because it has a similar pattern to comparable data. The Cirebon PLTU operation caused a significant increase in CO levels of 1.25 mg/l on a wide range. In other air quality parameters such as PM10, SO2 and NOx were decreased.

Abstract

Jeneponto Regency is one of the biggest corn producers in South Sulawesi. Jeneponto Regency is the most suitable area for estimating corn crop production because it is the largest corn-producing region in South Sulawesi Province and has quite complex terrain variations. Agricultural management requires accurate and accurate information or data that can increase productivity and economic benefits. Get accurate and up-to-date data or information about parts of an accurate agricultural information system to support proper planning. The purpose of this study is to map climatic conditions (rainfall) and physical conditions (slope, height, soil type) and to estimate the amount of corn production and maize production maps through spatial assessment. This research was conducted in the Jeneponto Regency, which is located in the southern part of the South Sulawesi Province. The results of the study show that spatial ecology based on agro-ecosystem zones or agricultural unit units in the estimation of special maize production can increase estimation results with high accuracy. Based on the analysis of the four physical maps that have been mapped are rainfall, soil type, slope, and height which are regulated in the agro-ecosystem zone, the estimated amount with spatial ecological calculations is 159.584,05 tons. The accuracy of the estimation model results with field data reaches 95%. Based on the results of the study can conclude the results of spatial ecological research can be used as a method of estimating production on corn.

Abstract

Ciledug Lor is a flood-prone area in Cirebon Regency. Flood disaster management can empower the community through participatory mapping and crowdsourcing activities. This study aims to analyze the level of floods, threats, vulnerabilities, capacities, risks and refuge locations in Ciledug Lor Village based on participatory mapping, crowdsourcing, and GIS. Various indicators of threat, vulnerability, and flood capacity are obtained from field surveys, open data and official data that have been given a value and weight which are then processed using overlay analysis to obtain flood risk parameters. Determination of refuge locations used network analysis to find out the route, distance, and effective time. The results analysis and modeling showed the average flood level in Ciledug Lor reached 2.27 meters. The refugee location for Dusun Pamosongan and Dusun Kampung Baru are to the north close to the railway tracks. Meanwhile, Dusun Karanganyar and Dusun Genggong are in the Ciledug Bus Terminal. In the future, participatory mapping, crowdsourcing, and GIS are expected to build awareness and resilience of disaster

Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru adalah kemampuan dalammenilai hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan kurikulum 2013, penilaian autentik merupakanpenilaian yang sangat tepat untuk menilai hasil belajar peserta didik. Tujuan utama dalampenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pemahaman guru geografi terhadapkonsep dan pelaksanaan penilaian autentik di SMA Negeri Pulau Buton. Metode penelitianyang digunakan adalah metode survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secarakeseluruhan pemahaman guru geografi terhadap konsep penilaian autentik di SMA NegeriPulau Buton adalah sangat baik. Seluruh guru sudah melaksanakan penilaian autentik, namunpada proses pelaksanaannya masih ada guru geografi yang belum melaksanakan penilaianautentik secara sempurna. Pemahaman guru geografi yang baik terhadap konsep penilaianautentik tidak berdampak secara signifikan terhadap tingkat pelaksanaan penilaian autentikdalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan kedaruratan kesehatan masyarakat. Negara yang mengalami penuaan penduduk cenderung memiliki resiko penyebaran virus yang relatif cepat dan angka kematian yang semakin tinggi. Kemaraya merupakan salah satu kelurahan di Kota Kendari yang memiliki banyak masyarakat lansia. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ikut menyumbangkan pemikiran terkait penanganan Covid-19 melalui kegiatan sosialisasi strategi pengurangan dampak pandemi Covid-19 dikalangan lansia. Metode kegiatan ini terdiri atas tahap pra kegiatan, tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan dan tahap penutup. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini memiliki capaian akhir yaitu mengetahui cara yang dapat dilakukan lansia untuk mengurangi resiko dampak pandemi Covid-19 diantaranya; 1) Tetap aktif yaitu: a) berolahraga (senam ringan), b) berjemur dipagi hari, c) Aktif kegiatan seperti berkebun atau membuat kerajinan. 2) Makan-makanan sehat yaitu; a) menjaga pola makan dan nutrisi yang seimbang, b) mengkonsumsi vitamin C. 3) Istirahat yang cukup yaitu; a) menjaga pola tidur, b) serta mengurangi minum banyak air di malam hari.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pendidikan dan pelatihan ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan-hambatan yang dialami guru selama pembelajaran IPS dan untuk mengetahui apakah kegiatan pendidikan dan pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru IPS tentang materi Geografi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi dengan contoh-contoh aktual, dan modul pelatihan sebagai bahan untuk belajar mandiri. Evaluasi pelatihan dilakukan dengan menggunakan parameter pretest dan posttest menggunakan skala likert. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu guru IPS memiliki hambatan pada saat menyampaikan materi, tidak menguasai media pembelajaran geografi dengan baik, tidak mampu mengusai metode dalam pembelajaran IPS khususnya materi geografi, dan mengalami hambatan dalam pemilihan jenis evaluasi yang digunakan. Selain itu, pendidikan dan pelatihan ini terbukti dapat meningkatan kompetensi guru IPS pada materi geografi.

Abstract

The introduction of map making and at the same time as the development of learning media are the efforts to improve the performance of high school geography teachers in the learning process of geography. This activity aims to increase teacher knowledge in spatial data concepts and cartographic rules for learning geography. PKM activities are carried out in the form of training using lecture methods, demonstrations and online discussions. The methods is used in explaining the concepts of spatial data and cartographic rules in the form of understanding, subsystems, components, data, processes, analysis, and presentation. This training activity went well based on the achievement of the target of the training participants, the objectives of the training, and the target of the planned material, as well as the ability of the participants in mastering the material being trained. Supporters for the implementation of this PKM activity include the availability of experts in the field of Cartography and QGIS at the UHO Geography Department, the enthusiasm of the participants, and the available funds for the service team. The benefits that participants can get from PKM activities are applying QGIS in making maps and for developing geography learning media in high school education
