Abstract

Amaris Hotel Embong Malang Surabaya is  a 3 stars hotel that carries the concept of “bed & breakfast”. There is a  problem on controlling the cooking ingredients at the Kitchen Department. The problem is, this Department don’t have a proper ingredients usage documentation. As a result the Kitchen Department’s Staff cannot ensure the quantity of ordering the cooking ingredients, and because of this, lacks and excess of ingredients is often occurs. To overcome this problem, an information system for controlling the cooking ingredients in the Kitchen Department of Amaris Hotel Embong Malang Surabaya was built. The system applied an Economical Order Quantity methods to calculate the most economic order quantity for each ingredients. Reorder point methods to determine the reorder point of each ingredients where Safety Stocks is based on calculation of the ingredients usage. The test and evaluation result shows that system can minimize the ordering and holding cost of  cooking ingredients and able to control the stock so there are no more excess and lacks of ingredients. The reports of purchases, receipts, and usage of ingredients already fulfilled the information needs of the Head of  Kitchen Department.Keywords: Economical Order Quantity, Safety Stock, Reorder Point.

Abstract

Development and Application of Information Technology (PPTI) is one part in the Institute of Business and Informatics Stikom Surabaya (Stikom). PPTI has the responsibility to develop and implement Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Stikom Surabaya. PPTI has a wide range of services provided to users. However, PPTI still have not had a service catalogue. Service catalogue is needed to control and evaluate the services provided to users. Based on these problems, it is necessary to make a service design draft to meet the needs of the service catalogue. The service design is based on Service Design standard in the framework of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v3). This research resulted in the business impact analysis document, service policy, the service description and service catalogue. The resulting document will be useful as a reference to control and evaluate the services provided to users.

Abstract

PT Sejahtera Usaha Bersama is one of the largest timber manufacturer in Indonesia which produces wood such as plywood and blockboard. PT Sejahtera Usaha Bersama have has information systems to support the business needs of the company on the production, but at the moment the application of information technology systems only consider immediate needs and allows the application of information systems overlap each other and their sub-systems are different from each other. These conditions make the information system can not be used as expected. Problems arising in the company, especially in the production of one constrained by the lack of monitoring of the production machine, so that when the damage occurred can inhibit the production process in the company. In the production itself there are other problems such as the data is not centralized, resulting in data redundancy and data security is reduced. In the production also does not have adequate application to support activities such as: monitoring production machines and check the quality of the product, resulting in a process for machine maintenance can not be monitored well, and the process of product quality checks are still susceptible to human error. The lack upgraded of the hardware such as computers also affects the enterprise, resulting in disruption of data management processes. Based on these issues, then an analysis using Enterprise Architecture is conducted. With Enterprise Architecture, the issues raised in the company can be analyzed in each phase of TOGAF ADM and then generates proposed improvements of each phase. The results of analysis TOGAF ADM is an IS / IT blueprint that contains five documentss, namely architecture business architecture, information systems architecture (application architecture and data architecture) and technology architecture. IS / IT Blueprint will later be used as reference when the company wants to develop the current IS / IT.

Abstract

The Catholic Church is a Catholic worship association or community. The Church of Santo Paulus, Juanda has 10 categorical groups each of which has the characteristics of different members and various activities consisting mainly of daily mass activities, holiday celebrations, joint prayer events, pilgrimages, recollections etc. which will be published through the media of the church website the. However, the website that has been owned by Santo Paulus, Juanda Church is currently less informative because of the lack of time that members of the church's social group have to update the website's news content.Based on the above problems, the Santo Paulus, Juanda Catholic church needs a web-based portal application with a crowdsourcing method that is able to integrate information of church activities into a single entity with web-based media. Using the Crowdsourcing method, the job function of updating the website's news content is redirected to openly and freely for people connected to a computer network via the Internet, so that people can be actively involved in sharing information about church activities that will or have been done.From the results of experiments conducted on web-based portal application with crowdsourcing method can be concluded that the application is able to provide complete information activities, so as to facilitate the people in knowing all the information of church activities through this web application.

Abstract

Bharata Sport & Fashion is a company act in the sales of sports equipment and sports clothing which was built in 1986 on Jl. Ngurah Rai no.36, Jembrana Bali This company currently has some problems namely: 1) bonus counting process, work performance and making report of Salesmen performance that are still done manually that leads to a delay in reporting process and there is a risk to lost the data because it was saved in Ms Excel. 2) reservation process is still using telephone as a communication media and the reservation record is written in the notebook. This proses needs a lot of budget. 3)  this company has difficulty in monitoring their Salesmen in some branches of the company because one and another are located in long distance. The solution offered for covering those problems are making an application of Salesmen performance that included to make the visiting schedule, to report the visiting result, to record the customer’s reservation and to calculate bonus and salesman performance. The result of this essay show that application can help do generate sales report, the monitoring of Salesmen performance, counting the bonus, and this application can show the graphic of sales, bonus, salesman performance in each branch office.

Abstract

Gramedia Printing Group - Surabaya Plant, is a printing and publishing company. One of its main business process is procurement which refer to activity to acquire goods by buying it from supplier. There are some problems found in current process, which are: requester doesn’t know the state of their procurement request which can held down their productivity, logistic give more time and effort to check the procurement request’s approval from central office before purchase the goods, and there’s no managerial level report for decision making. To overcome these problem, a system is required to give requester information about their request, simplify and automate logistic activity, and ability to provide managerial report. Procurement Information System is expected to kept requester informed about their request, to ease logistic in procurement process, and to provide information to be used as source of decision making by managerial level.

Abstract

Petra Community Church is a church located on Jalan M.T. Haryono, Semarang. Since January of 2018, it has more than one thousands congregation. Based on their organizational structure, they have head of management and many departments, such as, Ibadah Raya Department, Komsel Department, Pujian Penyembahan Department, and Multimedia  Department. The board is facing a problem about getting data from departements. The data is still scattered in each department and the form is still a flat file (hard-copy). This problem affects the evaluation process of the existing management and also related to the making of annual year work program. Based on this problem, a management information system is needed to be used to process existing data into information, which is useful for decision making by the management of PCC. Management Information System built using the method of the System Development Life Cycle Waterfall model. The waterfall model used is the waterfall model according to Sommerville (2007). This system can handle management requirements related to the availability of master data, and activity data has been carried out up to financial data. Also through this system, the board can monitors activities undertaken by each department.

Abstract

Production scheduling is one of the most important aspect that ensures the business process of a company running smoothly, as well as in CV Tidar Jaya. CV Tidar Jaya in its business has not utilized any production scheduling schemes, it can be seen from their frequent delay of the order completion. The Problem is mainly because they always prioritized special order without looking at which order came first. In addition to that, they only used rough estimation about the completion time without exact calculation. To improve their business processes, we build a production scheduling system using the Earliest Due Date (EDD) method which is able to calculate the date of order completion and to minimize delay. CV Tidar Jaya also uses non-technical factors that are used as reference for calculating the engine machine start up time schedule, machine rest time and production materials time readiness. By using the EDD method, job that has an earliest deadline will be prioritize. Using this scheduling system, CV Tidar Jaya is able to produce information of finishing order time and optimize production scheduling in such a way that the delay can be minimized.

Abstract

Abstract: Lazada, Bukalapak and Blibli.com are companies involved in online markets and malls. To respond to opinions, criticisms and complaints, Lazada, Bukalapak and Blibli.com have a website platform that reviews the services and services offered by the three companies. The website platform is named priceprice.com. The type of comment is a large amount of unstructured text. This condition can cause online shopping companies to miss useful information from a collection of text documents.The setimen analysis is specified in this case study to rank the popularity of online shopping sites in Indonesia. In this study only discussed three online shops, namely Lazada, Bukalapak and Blibli.com.This case study uses the Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) method with k-fold cross validation testing to ensure data accuracy. The Naive Bayes method is used because it is more suitable in the operation of sentiment analysis in this study compared to other methods. In this study Lazada is the most popular online shop compared to Bukalapak and Blibli.com. Based on calculation accuracy naïve bayes uses k-fold cross validation for Lazada to have an average 96,5%, Bukalapak 93,9% and Blibli 89,7%. Keywords: Lazada, Bukalapak, Blibli.com, Naive Bayes

Abstract

PT Gemah Ripah Loh Jinawi Industri (GRLJI) is a fertilizer industry company which produces two types of products; phosphate and dolomite. Thecompany has quite large business process in ordering the fertilizer products from customers, manufacturing raw materials until delivering the accomplishes products to the customer back. However, in raw manufacturing process still has disadvantage like there is no control in specific inventory of raw materials which could make disruption production process in financial losses. It relates to the raw materials’ and customers’ schedule order late to deliver.Raw materials quantity should be bought in certain period with minimumcost. Then, calculate the Safety Stock in order to determine the amount ofinventory security by comparing the use of raw materials and searching the value of deviation standard. After that, calculate Re-order Point (ROP) which used to determine the value point of re-ordering raw materials. It was need an application control of raw materials by counting the total minimum quantity and calculating of raw materials stock amount and procurement as a safe point in production process. Economic Order Quantity method (EOQ) used to provide the quantity of raw materials which should be purchased at certain period with minimum cost.Based on application trial result by using the data synopsis which knownby the company in limited period, it is about 1 month or 4 weeks. The Datashowed the EOQ value, the Safety Stock, and the ROP on each formautomatically. The application also could help the data processing and controlthe raw materials processing faster. It was made the raw material inventorycontrol process scheduled without interrupting the production process.Keywords: Economic Order Quantity, Inventory control, application, fertilizer,raw materials
