Abstract

This study aims to determine the community structure of zooplankton in the river waters of the Cemara Banyuwangi Beach area.. Community structure consists of diversity and abundance. The results of diversity obtained 28 species, 8 orders and 11 families, while abundance ranged from 720 - 6391 cells / liter from I - V stations with a total abundance of 17,837 cells / liter. The highest abundance of species is Arcella Hemisphaerica with a total of 3386 cells / l. The life of zooplankton is also influenced by physical and chemical factors of the water. The river Cemara Banyuwangi Beach has a water temperature range of 28 - 31 ° C, water pH 7,2 – 7,9, salinity 2 - 5 and DO 5,5 - 8 mg / l. The results of the measurement of physical and chemical parameters are in accordance with the conditions of the waters for zooplankton life.

Abstract

Banyuwangi is an area that has the longest coastline in East Java, with a length of 175.8 km. one of the coastal potentials is the mangrove ecosystem. Pantai Sari is one of the locations that has the potentials to be developed in Banyuwangi regency. This beach is a forest area in the city of Banyuwangi. In general, they have natural charateristics, many pine trees have been planted since 2015. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the diversity of mangroves in river and coastal areas at Pantai Sari. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection using nested plot method with a distance of 20 m between plots. The results showed that there are 7 species mangroves were found in the river, namely Avicennia officinalis, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Lannea coramandelica, Erythrina costaricensis, dan Thespesia populnea. The highest number of individuals was Rhizophora apiculata with number 1,291 individu, and the lowest number was Erythrina costaricensis and Thespesia populnea. The other hand, there was 5 species mangroves in the coastal area, namely Casuarina cunninghamiana, Casuarina equisetifolia, Lannea coramandelica, Terminalia catappa, dan Thespesia populnea. The highest number of individuals was pine beach (Casuarina equisetifolia) with number 122 individu, and the lowest number was waru laut (Thespesia populnea) with number 1 individu

Abstract

Odonata is an insect that plays an important role in the balance of the ecosystem, acting as predators. Most of Odonata’s life is in the water in form of larvae. Odonata occupies some specific habitat types of waters. This study aims to determine the diversity, abundance, and distribution of Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies) in the upstream area of Kalibendo river, Banyuwangi. The research method used is River Tracking method with 4 points of observation which each has a radius of 1,25 km. Based on the result, 13 species of dragonfly are found 7 species dragonfly (Anisoptera) and 6 species of damselflies (Zygoptera). Diversity index (H’) of Odonata on the four observation points are low. Relative abundance (KR) species Vestalis luctuosa was the highest (48,522%), while the lowest was Potamarcha congener and Pseudagrion pruinosum (0,053%). The distribution of Odonata in the Kalibendo river basin area, all of which belong to the uniform and clumped category.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on various sectors in Indonesia, one of them being the education sector. When online learning begins, teachers must adapt to various strategies and new media to ensure teaching and learning activities continue even when students are at home. But now after learning can be carried out in offline learning, educators need to re-adapt to this learning mode. The Teaching Campus Program is one solution to the problems faced by teachers during offline learning in the New Normal Era. This program aims to assist the adaptation of technology by teachers. This service is held at SD Negeri Pakistaji, Banyuwangi Regency. The activity was carried out for three months and was attended by teachers at SD Negeri Pakistani. The results of this activity examine the teacher's ability to operate digital devices as support.

Abstract

The pandemic brings medical and non-medical problems, including education. The government, as the holder of control over the regulation of the education curriculum in Indonesia makes policies that aim to provide a way out of the learning difficulties during the pandemic. This study is based on a literature review that was conducted in a deskriptif kualitatif manner. Common learning problems during the pandemic are: internet problems, communication devices or devices, cost constraints, incomplete delivery of material, limited communication constraints, adaptation and teacher competence in relation to learning strategies and technology, and inadequate learning environment conditions. The facilities and solutions that are proclaimed in the curriculum are still considered inadequate to accommodate all the problems that occur. This is evidenced by the learning loss or lethargy of students and teachers during the recovery period.

Abstract

Tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L.) are one type of horticultural plant that has many benefits. The lack of maximum growth and productivity of tomato plants is due to various factors, such as the level of soil fertility, erratic climatic conditions, and pest attacks. One of the efforts to improve soil fertility is by fertilizing organic fertilizers. The use of organic fertilizers in addition to reducing the impact of environmental pollution due to the use of chemical fertilizers can also increase soil microorganisms which are very beneficial in providing soil nutrients and improving the environment. The next effort to increase the growth and production of tomatoes is through the provision of growth regulators (ZPT). One of the ZPT that functions to stimulate plant growth is Gibberellin. Gibberellin stimulates the division and enlargement of plant cells from germination to adult plants. The results showed that the application of gibberellin and organic fertilizer had no significant effect on the growth of tomato plant height, with the acquisition of F count (0.27) and smaller than F table 5% (0.77). The application of gibberellin hormone and organic fertilizer has an effect on the number of tomato fruits, with the acquisition of F count (9.07) greater than F table 5% (0.77). The obstacle in this research is that the plants are attacked by various diseases and pests during growth so that the measured changes do not reflect the conditions when the plants are measured in healthy and normal growing conditions

Abstract

Kalibendo Waterfall located in the plantation area of coffee, rubber, and clove in Kampunganyar Village, Banyuwangi Regency, Indonesia. The area has a height up to 825 meters with choppy topography, and a type B climate on the Schmidt-Ferguson scale so that it is a suitable environment for ferns (Pteridophyta). In the last five years, the Kalibendo waterfall area has been developed as a tourist area so that it can potentially affect the diversity of Pteridophyta. This research aims to study the diversity, abundance of species, and the importance index of Pteridophyta in the Kalibendo waterfall. This is a quantitative descriptive research with cruise methods along 650 meters and purposive sampling technique. Results of the study found 4 Ordo, 9 Families, and 20 Pteridophyta Species scattered in the ecosystem of clove, rubber, and river stands. The abundance of Pteridophyta individuals in the Kalibendo Banyuwangi waterfall tourist area was 1029 individuals. The species with the highest abundance value was Pyrrosia piloselloides with 389 individuals, and the lowest was Woodwardia radicans with 2 individuals. The fern species that had the highest importance index (INP) is Pyrrosia piloselloides as much as 53.67%, KR 37.85%, and FR 15.83%. The highest value of H' Pteridophyta is located in the river ecosystem. The highest value of E' Pteridophyta is located in the river ecosystem which shows an even distribution of species at that location. Kata kunci: air terjun, keanekaragaman, pteridophyta, wisata
