Abstract

Traces of past human life activities can be seen in cultural remains such as artifacts, features and ecofacs. The cultural remains found today are also referred to as archaeological resources. We have to explore the potential of these archaeological traces or remains so that we can bring them back as a learning resource. Banyuwangi Regency is rich in archaeological heritage that can be used as an alternative source of learning from existing books. This study tries to analyze these relics and present them into the history learning of senior high schools in Banyuwangi. The results show that the archaeological remains in Banyuwangi are very complete from prehistoric times to modern history. However, the history teacher at senior high school did not explore these relics with various obstacles, ranging from difficulties in integrating materials and financial problems which were large enough to invite students to places that had archaeological remains. This study provides an overview of the subject matter that can be integrated according to the 2013 curriculum and the findings of archaeological remains in Banyuwangi as a learning resource.

Abstract

Papaya is one of the superior products occupied by farmers in Sambirejo Village, Bangorejo District, Banyuwangi Regency, taking into account the economic potential of the harvest obtained. The main problem that arises is that harvests cannot be carried out simultaneously, resulting in inefficiency in the distribution process of harvested crops outside the region. On the other hand, the harvest exceeds the consumption demand of the local community so that there is a decrease in the value of the product used as animal feed. Against this problem, it is necessary to innovate processing papaya products into various kinds of economic products as well as an effort to empower the community's economy. This effort is part of an out-of-school education program to provide knowledge and skills, namely through innovative training. This training resulted in the innovation of solid papaya soap, liquid hand washing soap and body scrub made from papaya.

Abstract

The pandemic brings medical and non-medical problems, including education. The government, as the holder of control over the regulation of the education curriculum in Indonesia makes policies that aim to provide a way out of the learning difficulties during the pandemic. This study is based on a literature review that was conducted in a deskriptif kualitatif manner. Common learning problems during the pandemic are: internet problems, communication devices or devices, cost constraints, incomplete delivery of material, limited communication constraints, adaptation and teacher competence in relation to learning strategies and technology, and inadequate learning environment conditions. The facilities and solutions that are proclaimed in the curriculum are still considered inadequate to accommodate all the problems that occur. This is evidenced by the learning loss or lethargy of students and teachers during the recovery period.

Data analysis techniques relate to the second, third and fourth stages in the historical method which include source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on research results and conclusions, then the opening of coffee and rubber plantations during the colonial era in Onderafdeeling Kaliklatak is very much related to the natural condition of this area and also to changes in colonial politics, open the door. The first company to expand was NV Maatschappij owned by van E. Moormann&Co, producing the main crop of Robusta coffee which is in high demand worldwide. The relevance of opening large plantations to the people of Onderafdeeling Kaliklatak can be seen in several ways. First, there is a change in the position of local elites as landlords close to the colonial. Second, helping to create "improvement" of community infrastructure facilities and infrastructure around the Kaliklatak plantation. Third, encourage the development of economic activities and have an extraordinary impact on the surrounding community. Fourth, the large number of connecting road builders for the purpose of transporting coffee and rubber products has a broad and profound impact on traditional community patterns, not only for the people around the plantations but also for aspects of life in Banyuwangi. The creation of assimilation was due to a change in the orientation of their thoughts because their areas began to open up from the influence of the outside world.
