Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan konsep geopolitik, social budaya dan ekonomi pada Negara-negara maju dan Negara berkembang. Jenis pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan library research. Pada hakekatnya data yang diperoleh dengan penelitian perpustakaan ini dapat dijadikan landasan dasar dan alat utama bagi pelaksanaan penelitian lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, dapat diketahui bahwa antara Negara maju dan Negara berkembang memiliki perbedaan khususnya pada aspek geopolitik, sosial budaya dan aspek ekonominya.  Pada Negara maju, kualitas hidup penduduknya sangat baik, penghasilan penduduknya pada kaegori tinggi, sedangkan pada Negara berkembang sebaliknya. Pada aspek geopolitik juga demikian, dimana pada Negara maju dan berkembang terletak pada sistem politik atau peraturan-peraturan dalam wujud kebijaksanaan dan strategi nasional yang didorong oleh aspirasi nasional geografik. Sedangkan pada aspek sosial budaya, perbedaan antara Negara maju dan berkembang terletak pada perkembangan teknologi, Negara maju dijadikan alat contoh bagi Negara berkembang, akan tetapi setiap Negara memiliki pertahanan sendiri dalam pelestarian sosial budayanya agar terhindar pengaruh dari Negara lain.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ critical thinking skills in Islamic Education (PAI) at SD Negeri 041 Bengkulu Utara. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental class that applied the PBL model and a control class that used conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through a critical thinking skills test administered as pre-test and post-test, as well as observation sheets of student learning activities. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the independent sample t-test. The results revealed a significant difference between the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The mean post-test score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. Furthermore, the N-Gain score of the experimental group was categorized as high (0.72), while the control group was categorized as moderate (0.41). These findings indicate that the implementation of the PBL model is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning model can be recommended as an innovative and effective instructional strategy in Islamic Education, particularly in enhancing elementary school students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Background: Routine community religious gatherings like weekly recitations enhance spiritual knowledge and social bonds, yet their effectiveness is rarely evaluated systematically at the grassroots level. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the routine Friday night recitation activities to improve the religious knowledge of the community in Timur Indah V, Bengkulu City. Method: This study uses an evaluation approach with the Formative-Sumative Evaluation Model, which focuses on formative evaluation to measure the process and outcomes of the pengajian (Islamic study) activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the findings. Result: The process of implementing the Friday night recitation routine has been running according to procedures, although there are still some aspects of the instrument that have not been applied optimally. Regarding activity results, the congregation felt that this recitation greatly increased their religious insight. Conclusion: The routine Friday night recitation in Timur Indah V has positively impacted the congregation's understanding and religious practices. Although this activity has been running according to procedures, some aspects still need to be improved to increase its effectiveness. Contribution: This study empirically evaluates the effectiveness of routine recitation as a medium for religious education in the community.
