Abstract

Purpose –  This study explores the effectiveness of a movement-based approach to Qur'anic memorization among preschool children at TK (Preschool) Al-Fatihah School. Recognizing the critical role of early childhood in developing a strong attachment to the Qur'an, this research addresses the need for innovative methods that engage children both cognitively and physically, with the goal of enhancing their memorization and understanding of Qur'anic verses. Methods/Design/Approach – A qualitative case study methodology was employed, focusing on 60 preschool children divided into an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). Data collection methods included participant observation, in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and parents, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns in student engagement, memorization performance, and understanding of the Qur'anic verses. Findings – The study found that the movement-based method significantly improved students' engagement and memorization. The experimental group memorized 15% more verses on average compared to the control group and demonstrated better long-term retention and fewer errors. Additionally, this method enhanced students' understanding of the verses, as the movements were designed to reflect the meanings of the words, facilitating deeper cognitive processing. Originality/Value – This research contributes to the literature on Qur'anic education by demonstrating that movement-based memorization not only improves the quantity and accuracy of memorization but also enriches students' conceptual understanding. It underscores the importance of integrating physical activity with cognitive learning in early childhood education, particularly in religious contexts. Practical Implications – The findings suggest that movement-based methods can be effectively integrated into Islamic preschool curricula to enhance Qur'anic memorization and comprehension. This approach fosters a more inclusive and engaging learning environment, catering to various learning styles and promoting sustained interest in Qur'anic studies. Abstract

This study aims to determine the preferences or tendencies of Arabic learning methodologies for PBA students at UIN Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto in the post-pandemic period. This research is a qualitative type of research that seeks to explore a person's experience and then identify experiences, points of view, frame of mind, and opinions in depth about a real-life phenomenon. Meanwhile, the data collection technique used semi-structured interview and then analyzed using thematic analysis method. The results of this study revealed that the majority of PBA students at UIN Saifuddin Zuhri considered that blended learning was actually effective for learning Arabic in the post-pandemic period. however, with all its advantages and disadvantages, they tend to expect Arabic learning to be carried out face-to-face in full while still utilizing the role of technology. Because after all, technology can help a lot for the process of learning Arabic for students. In addition, 70% of students tend to choose the Arabic language learning method with the tarjamah grammatical method using a cooperative learning model. While the rest tend to choose the direct method by actively interacting between lecturers and students, where the lecturer plays a role in providing stimulus in the form of examples, while students only respond in the form of imitation, answering questions and demonstrating. For this reason, the Arabic language learning methodology in the post-pandemic period must be adapted to the circumstances and tendencies of students while still utilizing the role of technology.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effect of technology use in Arabic language learning on improving students' language skills at STAI Kuningan. Using a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis method, this study involved 100 respondents consisting of students and teachers. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to respondents and analyzed to identify the relationship between technology use and Arabic language skills. The results of the study showed a significant positive relationship between the two variables. Every additional hour of technology use per week increased Arabic language skill scores by 3.679 points. The linear regression analysis showed an R Square value of 0.988, indicating that 98.8% of the variation in Arabic language skills can be explained by technology use. The validity and reliability tests of the research instrument also showed good results, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of more than 0.7. This study recommends that STAI Kuningan strengthen the use of technology in Arabic language learning to improve students' skills more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Early detection of developmental anomalies in children is crucial for timely intervention, which can significantly enhance long-term developmental outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based detection tool and parental involvement in identifying and managing developmental disorders in children aged 2 to 6 years. A longitudinal research design was employed, involving 300 children exhibiting early signs of developmental disorders and 150 children in a control group. Data were collected through behavioral observation, AI-based analysis of video and audio interactions, and interviews with parents and educators. The findings revealed that the AI tool demonstrated high sensitivity in detecting motor, language, and autism-related disorders. Children who received early interventions showed significant improvements, particularly in motor skills, language development, and social interaction. Parental involvement in the intervention process further accelerated these improvements. This study highlights the potential of AI to enhance early detection and intervention, especially in resource-limited areas, and underscores the importance of engaging parents in the developmental process of their children. These findings contribute to the understanding of how AI can be integrated into early childhood care programs to improve outcomes for children with developmental challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate students' perceptions of the use of Arabic language learning applications, Al-Kunuz and Rosetta Stone, in the context of online learning in Islamic universities, especially at STAI Kuningan. The method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design, involving 100 students as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring students' perceptions of the ease of use and effectiveness of the applications in improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The results showed that the Al-Kunuz app received positive ratings for improving speaking and listening skills, with average scores of 4.2 and 4.3, respectively, while the Rosetta Stone app was more effective in improving reading and writing skills, with average scores of 4.2 and 4.1. Linear regression analysis revealed a significant relationship between the use of the two apps and the improvement of students' Arabic language skills, with an R-squared value of 0.76. This indicates that 76% of the variation in Arabic language skills improvement can be explained by the use of the apps. However, several obstacles—such as unstable internet connections and the need for training in application use—hinder optimizing the use of this technology. These findings provide important insights for the development of technology-based Arabic language learning in Islamic universities, with particular attention to improving infrastructure and training for both teachers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of role-playing methods in enhancing various aspects of early childhood development at RA Raudhlatul Hidayah, Cirebon. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as observations, teacher interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings of the study indicate that role-playing significantly contributes to children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Children engaged in role-playing activities showed improvements in problem-solving skills, language abilities, empathy, and cooperation. However, challenges such as ensuring equal participation and the availability of resources (such as costumes and props) were identified as obstacles in the implementation of this method. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of integrating role-playing into early childhood education curricula as a tool to support holistic child development. Recommendations for future research include examining the long-term effects of role-playing on children's development and exploring strategies to overcome implementation challenges.
