Abstract

Chili plants are one of the horticultural crops in Indonesia which have great potential in the Indonesian economy. However, crop failure often occurs. One of the main factors causing this is pest and disease attacks on chili plants. This requires early prevention which can reduce losses. With today's technological developments, prevention can be done easily and economically by using deep learning methods. YOLO is a deep learning algorithm that is commonly used to detect objects in real time. There are 4 classes that will be tested, namely leaves affected by yellow virus disease, leaf spot, thrips pests, and healthy chili leaves. Testing was carried out with a web-based application created with the flask framework. The accuracy results of the YOLO model training process with epoch 150 were 73%. The precision, recall and mAP values ​​obtained were 77.4%, 67.1% and 75.1%. Testing produces accuracy above 74%. The results of this research still produce accuracy that is not high enough, but the application can be used to detect it well and is quite accurate.

Abstract

SMK Semen Padang adalah sekolah di bawah yayasan PT. Semen Padang dan merupakan sekolah kejuruan yang menghasilkan anak didik yang sesuai dengan standar industri. Kurikulum SMK Semen Padang sudah menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan industri. Siswa-siswi SMK Semen Padang sudah ditahap mengetahui pengaplikasian IoT (Internet of Thing). Namun tingkat pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pembuatan aplikasi android untuk smart system belum pernah dicoba dan belum ada diberikan dalam kurikulum di sekolah. Hal ini menjadi permasalahan bagi mitra karena SMK Semen Padang mempunyai keinginan untuk dapat terlibat dalam kegiatan tahun nasional tingkat SMK, yaitu Lomba Krestifitas Mahasiswa. Penjelasan ini merupakan permasalahan utama yang ingin diselesaikan oleh pihak sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dampak pada pengembangan mata pelajaran bidang TIK khususnya pada materi aplikasi teknologi android dan mendukung siswa untuk memiliki kreatifitas dan inovasi-inovasi sehingga nantinya dapat mengambil peran ikut dalam ajang nasional. Metode yang dipakai pada kegiatan ini yaitu diskusi, ceramah, bimbingan dan pelatihan. Tahap pertama tim PkM memberikan diskusi dan ceramah mengenai aplikasi android pada smart system, selanjutnya tim melakukan bimbingan dan pelatihan pembuatan aplikasi android yaitu Wokwi, ThingSpeak, dan MIT App Inventor. Kegiatan PkM yang sudah dilakukan adalah ceramah materi, bimbingan teknis, pelatihan aplikasi Andorid, implementasi sistem pada smartphone serta penyerahan produk pada pihak mitra. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner kegiatan PkM pada SMK Semen Padang berjalan dan sesuai dengan target yang di inginkan.

Abstract

Gunung Talang, Twin Lake, Gumanti Valley, Hiliran Gumanti and Pantai Cermin sub-districts in Solok Regency, which are dominated by hills and trees, are the cause of unstable signal quality, causing complaints from the public regarding this. So this study is to determine the network quality in Gunung Talang District, Twin Lakes, Gumanti Valley, Hiliran Gumanti, and Pantai Cermin on Telkomsel, XL and Indosat Operators. Checking is carried out using the drive test method  using TEMS Pocket on 2G and 4G networks. The quality of the 2G network from the measurement results was obtained for RxLevel all operators was bad and for RxQual was good except for Telkomsel operators.Meanwhile,on the 4G network, measurement results for RSRP and SINR for all operators are bad. Some areas that have problems are recommended for optimization, site passenger  and site addition. All of this happens because  of obstacles in the form of hills, cliffs, and tall trees at some point. From the results of the study, the quality of the Telkomsel operator's 4G network has an RSRP value of 46.16% and SINR of 61.06%. XL operators have an RSRP value of 42.7% and SINR which is 60.74%.Meanwhile, Indosat Ooredoo has an RSRP value of 43.2% and SINR of 74.6%. As for the 2G network, the quality of Telkomsel's 2G network operator has an RxLevel value of 47.8% and RxQual of 89.49%. XL operators have an RxLevel value of 58.34% and RxQual of 77.62%.Meanwhile,Indosat Ooredoo has an RxLevel value of 46.16% and RxQual is 80.56%.

Abstract

A remote weather station requires solar power system (PLTS), hence making power consumption calculation is very essential. PLTS analysis is applied to an ESP32-based weather station with low-power sensors to reduce costs. The process starts with setting up the station and PLTS without prior analysis, followed by a literature review, data collection of current and voltage from the SCC, conducting an analysis, and finally determining components recommendations. Calculations determine the need for a 12V, 4.375 Ah battery, 14.255 Wp solar panel, and a SCC with 0.46 A battery current and 0.306 A load current. Adjusted to market availability, a VRLA 12V/6Ah battery, 20 Wp solar panel, and 5A SCC module can replace the previously used 12V/7Ah battery, 50 Wp solar panel, and 10A SCC.

Abstract

Materi fisika pada tingkat SMA yang terkait dengan ilmu elektro adalah getaran, gelombang dan bunyi; listrik statis, listrik dinamis, energi dan daya listrik,kemagnetan, dan induksi magnet. Semua materi tersebut diajarkan dengan mengedepankan pelatihan kemampuan kognitif berupa hafalan dan analisis dari siswa. Dimana siswa banyak mengingat rumus dan latihan soal mengenai materi terkait. Dengan membuat sebuah rangkaian radio FM sederhana bisa memberikan pemahaman kognitif yang terkait aplikasi ilmu bagi siswa mengenai apa tujuan dan manfaat dari materi yang sedang dipelajari. Pemahamahan getaran dan gelombang akan ditunjukkan dengan mikrofon yang dapat merubah getaran suara menjadi energi listrik yang merupakan listrik dinamis. Pada aplikasinya listrik dapat dibangkitkan dengan menggunakan lilitan dan kapasitor. Dan dengan sifat listrik dan magnet memungkinkan sinyal listrik dirubah menjadi gelombang elektromagnetik dan sebaliknya dirubah dari gelombang elektromagnetik menjadi energi listrik. Sehingga pada akhirnya siswa mendapat gambar bahwa energi suara dapat di transmisikan melalui gelombang radio. Diharapkan dengan bantuan rangkaian FM ini membuat siswa lebih tertarik mempelajari materi gelombang, kelistrikan dan kemagnetan dalam pelajaran fisika.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a remote control system for waste collection machines using Arduino Nano and LoRa communication modules. The background of this research is the need for an effective remote control system to manage waste collection machines automatically. This system is designed to optimize the machine control process through stable wireless communication. The research process begins with system design, including block diagrams and flowcharts for remote control transmitters and receivers. The transmitter uses an Arduino Nano to read input from the button and send data via the LoRa module. The receiver receives signals from the transmitter, then controls the motor using the L298N motor driver module based on the data received. The research results show that the system can control the motorbike accurately according to the signals received, including forward, backward, right turn and left turn movements. The system is also capable of handling button combinations for more complex motor control. The use of Fritzing and Visual Studio Code in the design and programming process makes system implementation and testing easier. This research provides a practical solution for remotely controlling waste collection machines with LoRa communication.

Abstract

The need for high-speed internet continues to increase with technological developments. Fiber to the Building (FTTB) is a solution for providing fast internet access to commercial and residential buildings. However, the main challenge in maintaining network quality is attenuation in fiber optic cables, especially at connections. This research aims to analyze the effect of pigtail cable length and connection quality on the total attenuation from the Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) to the Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) in the FTTB network, both before and after activation. The research method uses pigtail cables of varying lengths, from 30 cm to 150 cm. Some connections are carried out according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), while others are not, to measure the effect of connection quality on attenuation. Measurements were carried out using an Optical Power Meter (OPM) and Passive Optical Network (PON) technology with an SFP of 8 dB. The research results show that connections that comply with the SOP produce lower attenuation, namely 7.16 dB on a 150 cm cable, 7.09 dB on a 120 cm cable, and 6.99 dB on a 100 cm cable. On the other hand, connections that do not comply with the SOP produce higher attenuation, namely 8.15 dB on an 80 cm cable, 8.08 dB on a 50 cm cable, and 8.02 dB on a 30 cm cable. This research contributes to the optimization of FTTB network installations.
