Pelabelan Gender Perempuan Jawa dalam Novel Kartini dan Urgensinya untuk Pembelajaran Era Global Haniah, Haniah; Waluyo, Herman J; Winarni, Retno

Javanese  is one of the famous culture that owned by Indonesia. As one of the culture that enough reckoned , javanese had a wide range of science .Not only  the mosaic customs and any kind of a ceremony that he had, but the woman too. This study was a qualitative research aiming to describe negative labeling/ stereotype existing inside javanese women. Used a technique of analysis contents and interview, researchers will processing the data in the form of quotations novel with three stages: reduction , display data and data verification. The result of research showed that there were several negative labels. Firstly, men are considered as smarter than women, so that can be family’s more pride. Secondly, women having protruding breast are equivalent to ledhek or prostitute. Thirdly, gelung/sanggul (hair bun) is a symbol of women’s beauty. Fourthly, women producing sound of smacking lips during eating are just like animal. Fifthly, kitchen becomes basic standard of ability of taking care of husband and future household.  .As part of science, feminism need to introduced to school through language class. This study aims to describe the intertextuality relationship between the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari and Calabai by Pepi Al-Bayqunie. The type of research is descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. Data are collected by inventorying events that are similarities and differences, specifications on the characters, settings, plots, and themes of both text. The research results indicate that there are similar themes on the two novels, the theme of self actualization in addition with the theme of family and friendship. The same characterization are also used by both author, masculine figures with feminine soul characters. The difference between the two novels lies on the plot and setting. Pasung Jiwa uses progressive plot and Calabai uses a flash-back plot.. Okky Madasari takes Java Island as the background in the novel Pasung Jiwa, while the novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie using the setting of Sulawesi Island. The basis of the similarity of theme and characterization supported by the similirity of events in the story shows the existence of intertextual relationship between the two novels. As a previously published work, the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari is a hipogram and novel Calabai by Pepi A-Bayqunie as a transformational text. On the theme and characterization, the transformation of Calabai forward the hypogram, while in the plot and setting deviates his hypogram, Pasung Jiwa.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan intertekstualitas antara novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan konten analisis. Data dikumpulkan dengan menginventariskan peristiwa yang merupakan persamaan dan perbedaan, spesifikasi pada tokoh, latar, alur, dan tema dari kedua teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesamaan tema pada kedua novel, yaitu tema aktualisasi diri, ditambah dengan tema keluarga dan persahabatan. Penokohan yang sama juga digunakan oleh kedua penulis, yaitu tokoh maskulin dengan karakter jiwa feminin. Perbedaan kedua novel terletak pada alur dan latar. Pasung Jiwa menggunakan alur maju dan Calabai menggunakan alur campuran. Latar dalam novel Pasung Jiwa, Okky Madasari mengambil latar Pulau Jawa, sedangkan novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie menggunakan latar Pulau Sulawesi. Dasar kesamaan tema dan penokohan didukung kesamaan peristiwa-peristiwa dalam cerita menunjukkan adanya hubungan intertekstual antara kedua novel. Sebagai karya yang terbit terlebih dahulu menjadikan novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari adalah hipogram dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie sebagai teks transformasi. Pada tema dan penokohan, transformasi Calabai meneruskan hipogram, sedangkan pada alur dan latar menyimpangi hipogramnya, Pasung Jiwa.

This research aimed to find out the discrimination against women in Indonesia, especially reflected in novels Entrok, Maryam, and Pasung Jiwa written by Okky Madasari. Over centuries, women in Indonesia had faced various forms of discrimination that happened because of the strong influence of patriarchal culture, norms, customs, and even religion. That viewpoint then caused men and women to have different roles, both biologically and socially. Women had roles to keep house, family, and children, meanwhile, men had roles to provide for living and protection to the family. The discrimination problem, especially for women, was still the most discussed topic due to the lack of public awareness about womenâ€™s roles in community life. This research was a descriptive qualitative research using feminism approach. The data in this research were in the forms of sentences, paragraphs, dialogues, and discourses that reflect discrimination against women. The data analysis technique used in this research was content analysis. The research result shows that there is discrimination towards women in the sectors of economic and social based on the utterances from these three novels by Okky Madasari.

The purpose of the research are kind of code-switching and code-mixing, the factor of the result from the code-switching and code-mixing; and the role of the code-switching and code-mixing in the Indonesian lerning of the seventh F class SMP N 2 Brangsong, Kendal regency. The research used descriptive qualitative method with case study approach.The research used purposive sampiling and snow ball sampling, then the technique of the collecting data by record, report, and interview. Validity test is triangulation theory.The result of the research are: the first, find out 12 code-switching in the javanese is four times and from Arab is 8 times; the second, find out the code-mixing consist of 44 times divided to be Indonesian dialeg from Jakarta is 12 times and english is 6 times; the third, factor of the result from the code-switching and code mixing from the research devided to be 5 factors (a) personal and speaker, (b) the partner of the speech, (c) the place, (d) topic, and (e) function and purpose.

This article aims to analyze the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang using the humanistic psychology approach of Abraham Maslow. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method. The data source used was Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel by Faisal Oddang. The data analysis technique in this study used the content analysis. The results of this study indicated that the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang had and performed actions that can be analyzed by using Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. This was shown by the content of the novel which presented about conflicts around human life; beliefs, religions, gender and love. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel tried to reflect on what might actually happen in people's real life in South Sulawesi. Based on the novel content, the main character built in the novel performed certain actions in obtaining multilevel needs that must be fulfilled as human beings. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel showed how humans obtained multilevel needs that must be fulfilled until human self-actualization was achieved.

This article describes the educational value of the religious character in the novel of Sawitri and the Seven Birth Trees (Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran) by Mashdar Zainal based on the perspective of the Islam Nusantara tradition. The existence of the value of religious character education is a very important aspect to internalize the students, as an effort to shape the distinctive character of the Indonesian nation. The acculturation between Javanese culture and Islamic tradition has had a major impact on the life of the Javanese people. The acculturation process had a positive impact on both, both for the development of Islam and Javanese culture. The main data source of this research is the text in the novel of Sawitri and the Seven Birth Trees (Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran) which relates to the value of character education based on the perspective of the Islamic Nusantara tradition. Data collection techniques use content analysis. Data validity techniques using data source triangulation and method triangulation. The flow models of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification are used as techniques for analyzing data. The results of the study show in the novel of Sawitri and the Seven Birth Trees (Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran) by Mashdar Zainal there are various manifestations of the value of religious character education based on the perspective of the Islamic Nusantara tradition, namely (1) love Godâ€™s creatures, (2) believe in Godâ€™s destiny, (3) spread kindness to others, and (4) attitude of gratitude for Godâ€™s giving.Keywords: novel, the value of religious character education, Islam NusantaraÂ Artikel ini mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter religius novel Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran karya Mashdar Zainal berdasarkan perspektif tradisi Islam Nusantara. Keberadaan nilai pendidikan karakter religius merupakan aspek yang amat penting untuk diinternalisasikan keÂpada peserta didik, sebagai upaya membentuk karakter khas dari bangsa Indonesia. Adanya akulturasi antara budaya Jawa dengan tradisi Islam, membawa dampak besar bagi kehidupan masyarakat Jawa. Proses akulÂturasi tersebut membawa dampak positif bagi keduanya, baik bagi perÂkembangan Islam maupun budaya Jawa. Sumber data utama penelitian ini berupa teks di dalam novel Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran yang terkait nilai pendidikan karakter berdasarkan perspektif tradisi Islam Nusantara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunaan analisis konten (content analysis). Teknik validitas data dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi metode. Model alir Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi digunakan sebagai teknik untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa dalam novel Sawitri dan Tujuh Pohon Kelahiran karya Mashdar Zainal terdapat berbagai wujud nilai pendidikan karakter religius berÂdasarkan perspektif tradisi Islam Nusantara, yaitu (1) mengasihi sesama ciptaan Tuhan, (2) percaya terhadap takdir Tuhan, (3) menebar kebaikan kepada sesama, dan (4) sikap syukur atas pemberian Tuhan.Kata Kunci: novel, nilai pendidikan karakter religius, Islamic Nusantara
