Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many changes to human lifestyles, one of which is changing the way we work and the way we define the 'workplace' which is known as the office. As a result of this phenomenon, there is an adaptation of user behaviour (office employees) to changes in the layout of the workspaces in their offices. This research provides an overview of the adaptation to changes in the layout of the workspace and changes in employee behaviour in their workplace during the Covid-19 pandemic. The adaptation applied is the Adaptation to New Habits (ANH) as a realization of the implementation of health protocols that have been set by the government. In this study, employees' perceptions will be measured based on physiological factors in the form of sources of information they get to implement the adaptation to new habits and how this encourages them to implement health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative description which is then quantified to determine the tendency of office employees to adaptĀ  to changes in the layout of office workspace. In addition, it also seeks to understand, examine and interpret the meaning of an adaptation event and changes in human behaviour toward changes in workspace layout in the Covid-19 pandemic situation from the perspective of the researchers themselves. The results of this study reveal that in the adaptation process there are changes due to essential needs related to health protocol procedures in the office and space requirements that are adapted to their functions.

Abstract

The market is a place for sellers and buyers. This is due to the transaction process of goods/services and the bargaining that occurs. The characteristics of the market usually consist of stalls / stalls, and open lots available to traders. The appearance or overall feel of a shopping center that can make the market stand out among its competitors such as the facilities and infrastructure provided. In general, it is an area used for selling places that traders use as a means or facility in placing goods from services for sale. This is due to Pasar Buha which is a "traditional" type of market that has a place where cleanliness is not guaranteed because the mass layout of buildings in the area tends to be ineffective and the lack of facilities provided. Therefore, Buha Market is an appropriate object for redesign purposes. This activity is carried out to obtain data related to the needs and problems in the design process. The data includes field surveys on related sites as well as interviews with several visitors or existing communities and related government parties. The data collected includes physical site data and documentation in the form of photos, videos, or sketches. Physical site data in the form of: Site potential and shortcomings, site boundaries, site topography and site size, view, site circulation, existing vegetation, and climate.Redesign of Manado City Buha Market with Sustainable Architecture Approach concludes that this redesign will be a means for people to shop at the Market with facilities that have supported the activities and needs of the people who come to shop and are equipped with sustainable architecture including: 1) Using natural and reusable materials, 2) Applying solar panels to reduce the use of conventional electricity, 3) Using secondary skin on building walls from natural materials, namely plants and natural stones. Abstract

The establishment of a comfortable and safe work environment is fundamental to facilitate worker productivity and well-being. The workshop room, as one of the prime facilities in the workings of discovery and practice, must have light conditions, thermal comfort, and noise levels in accordance with occupational health and safety standards. The purpose of the study is to assess the light conditions, thermal comfort, and noise levels in the workshop room and provide strategic recommendations to improve the quality of the working environment. The research methodology employed is quantitative, where direct measurements are made with respect to the lighting levels, temperature, humidity, airspeed, and noise levels in the workshop room. The data were obtained to compare it with the relevant standards to determine whether the work environment conditions comply with the required regulations. The outcomes of the study reveal that lighting conditions in the workshop room do not meet the recommended levels entirely, especially in some work areas where light intensity is below the suggested threshold. The other major concern is thermal comfort because the room users would not be comfortable under very high temperature and humidity conditions. Noise levels, however, were found to be below standard. However, these noise levels which are almost hitting the upper limit could affect work comfort and health. Hence, with respect to these findings, the study recommends the redesigning of the lighting layout, improving the ventilation system, and applying noise abatement methods to raise the quality of the workshop room working environment.

Abstract

Keywords : Gorontalo, Iklim Tropis Lembab, Perpindahan Panas, Kenyamanan Termal.
