Abstract

The problem of waste is very worrying because it has a direct impact on humans, especially the inclusion of plastic elements in the human body through fish and food exposed to microplastic. One way to overcome the problem of waste is to reduce waste from its source by sorting methods from the source and managed further through the process of recycling or upcycling into new products. Reducing waste from its source by sorting and then saving it in a Waste Bank is one promising breakthrough and can encourage people to actively participate in environmental management. The purpose of this study was to obtain a mapping model of the waste management service area in the city of Manado as needed. The research data was obtained through research on smash applications for waste banks supporting field research through observation and interviews. Data was analyzed by mapping the position of waste banks in the city of Manado. Furthermore, comparing the three garbage banks in Manado city to find a pattern of waste bank management with various indicators. The results of the study indicate that the current mapping of the position of waste banks in Manado consists of the center, the suburbs and outside the city. Furthermore, the results of the comparison of the three garbage banks conclude that the most effective waste bank is a waste bank in a residential area. An effective waste bank is one of the strategies for implementing 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) in waste management at its source at the community level. The implementation of the waste bank in principle is a social engineering to invite the public to sort out waste for environmental sustainability and public welfare.

The participation typology found is used as the basis for determining policy scenarios for the development of Likupang Super Priority Destinations. The policy scenario that must be carried out in each stage of the development of the tourist area is determined by public opinion. Abstract

Unmanaged waste can cause various problems of environmental damage including threatening tourism development. The current waste problem is quite worrying because it can have a direct impact on humans, such as the entry of plastic elements into the human body through fish or food exposed to microplastics. Aim: The waste bank around Lake Tondano tourism object was studied qualitatively with the aim of describing the waste bank management mechanism to be used as a model for developing a waste bank to support sustainable tourism development. Methodogy and Results: The research data was obtained through field research through observations and interviews with waste banks around the Tondano lake tourist attraction, in this case the Mapalus waste bank located in Papakelan Village. Conclusion, significance, and impact study: The results show that the current form of waste bank management on the shores of Lake Tondano is a waste bank that is purely managed by the community. The form of management is to collect waste from the community by first going through a sorting process. After sorting, organic waste is used as fertilizer and inorganic waste is made into valuable products and can be used as souvenirs for tourists. The waste bank program can reduce the increase in waste directly from the source. In addition, the waste bank can produce new products and provide benefits to the community. The waste bank is also a solution in the context of developing tourism on the coast of Lake Tondano.

The data publication policy is explained by using a qualitative approach method. Assessment based on scores based on tourism smart environment indicators. The results of the study show that the tourism potential in the Likupang area is the government's policy by proposing this area as a tourism special economic zone. The policy was published in the form of Government Regulation number 84 of 2019 as a Legal Basis with an area of 197.4. The first question which describes the findings of the literature carried out in journal articles shows that the vision of a smart environment tourism policy in the development of the Likupang Tourism Special Economic Zone in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic has been carried out a lot. The second question is the researcher's attempts to trace the perception of stakeholders to the understanding of stakeholders about whether or not it is necessary to develop a smart environment in the Likupang SEZ area using a smart environment tourism approach at an ecocentrism or supportive level. The third question can be seen from the process of implementing the Likupang SEZ which is the government's effort to develop regional tourism potential, of course with a smart environment tourism approach as well as a way to reduce emissions, manage waste and involve community participation.
