Abstract

Attaqie Farm is a business that combines tourist attractions by giving visitors knowledge of agriculture, otherwise known as agroeducation. The problem with Attaqie Farm Tuban agroeducation is the amount of waste produced from nesting, ripe fruit, and decaying fruit from a pest attack so that it can reduce the a inclination of agro-tourism if it is allowed to under the tree. The aim of the study is (1) to know the content of the star fruit waste (2) to know the effectiveness of the application of liquid organic fertilizer on the Caisim plant, (3) to knowing the best dose of star fruit waste POC on Caisim plants. The research was conducted from August 2021 to November 2021 at Attaqie Farm, Panyuran Village, Palang District, Tuban Regency, East Java. The method used the RAK method (group random design) has a factor of 1 that is, a concentrated liquid organic fertilizer (POC) of 4 levels of p0 = ml/ l, p1 = 25 ml/ l, p2 = 35 ml/ l, p3 = 45 ml/ l. Each experiment was repeated three times with the number of samples consisting of 5 Caisim and was made up of 60 units. Research shows that the POC of the star fruit waste has a c-organic content (3.96 %), nitrogen (0.03 %), c2o (0.03 %), c2o (0.08), s (0.08), and ph (3.8). Giving POC star fruit waste significantly affect the wet weight of caisim. The 25 ml treatment was the best treatment among all treatments in increasing the growth of caisim.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Attaqie Farm dikenal sebagai kawasan agropolitan budidaya belimbing. Belimbing Tasikmadu memiliki rasa yang manis dan gurih. Kebun Attaqie Farm memproduksi 1.000 kg buah per hari dan menghasilkan limbah yaitu daun, buah sisa penjarangan, dan ranting-ranting, hasil limbah tersebut mencapai 5-10 kg. Jika diolah maka akan menghasilkan sesuatu yang bermanfaat seperti pupuk organik. Usaha yang dapat meningkatkan mutu atau produksi pakcoy salah satunya dengan penganekaragaman pola budidaya agar menjaga kesuburan lahan dan juga untuk pertanian berkelanjutan. Metode dilakukan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pada satu faktor, perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali, setiap ulangan diberikan 3 unit percobaan, 5 taraf yang diaplikasikan dosis yaitu: 0 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha, 20 ton/ha, 30 ton/ha, dan 40 ton/ha. Unsur hara pupuk kompos memiliki kandungan N, P, K masing-masing dengan nilai 2.78%, 0.88%, dan 2.70%. Dosis optimum untuk sayur pakcoy yaitu 20 ton/ha (setara dengan 40 g/polybag). Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan parameter lebar daun yang berpengaruh nyata dengan nilai 5.17 cm. Kata Kunci: Attaqie Farm, limbah belimbing tasikmadu, pakcoy, pupuk organik

Abstract

Attaqie Farm Agroedutourism produced 1.5 tons/ha of star fruit waste in 2018, which was wasted because it was not utilized by starfruit farmers. Attaqie farm strives to implement the Sustainable Agriculture System (SPT) to support sustainable agriculture. The waste originating from one cultivation can be used as a resource in other forms. The application of integrated and sustainable agriculture is beneficial for farmers to preserve the ecology while maintaining the culture adopted in an area. Farmers' objectives for agricultural cultivation are good, healthy, and maximum yields, therefore the availability of compost is needed. The technology that has developed makes it easier for farmers or researchers to make compost in a short time. The study began with making compost with star fruit waste, namely residual leaves and fruit from thinning. This research was carried out using a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment was replicated 4 times, with 3 experimental units, and 5 dose levels. Nutrients in the star fruit waste compost showed good results for compost criteria according to SNI 19-7030-2004 standard. The effective dosage for star fruit compost in mustard cultivation was 20 tons/ha (equivalent to 40 g/polybag).

Abstract

Based on the literature study, the demand for eggplant in East Java is increasing, encouraging farmers to increase productivity by using chemical fertilizer. In the long term, this practice could harm the environment. This study was conducted to obtain the right method and dosage of compost made from starfruit waste for the growth and yield of eggplant. The study was designed using a Factorial Randomized Block Design. The first factor was organic fertilizer with 5 levels, namely: Soil + goat manure 1:1, Soil + compost from composter 1:1; Soil + compost from bio-pore1:1; Soil + goat manure + compost from composter 1:1:1, and Soil + goat manure + compost from bio-pore 1:1:1. The second factor was NPK fertilizer with 4 levels, namely: 0 gram/liter, 1 gram/liter; 2 gram/ liter; dan 3 gram/liter. There were three replications for each treatment. The results showed that the best organic fertilizer was a combination of manure and compost, from composter and bio-pore, which had the highest result for plant height, number of leaves, biomass increase, and the number of eggplant fruits. The best concentration of NPK fertilizer for eggplant growth and physiology was 3 grams per liter.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDegreening is a transformation process on peel which enables it to change color from green to orange on citrus fruits. The orange color of the peel comes from the mixture of carotenoid pigments, such as β-cryptoxanthin and β-citraurin. The pigments contributed in the formation of β-citraurin are β-cryptoxanthin and zeaxanthin. The objectives of this study were (1) to obtain proper degreening temperature in the orange color formation of several citrus varieties, and (2) to identify and determine pigments of β-cryptoxanthin pigment and total chlorophyll content in citrus peel after degreening. This study was conducted at PKHT IPB and LIPI Cibinong from July 2013 to December 2013, and from February 2016 to May 2017. About 100 ppm of ethylene gas was injected into a citrus-containing box using 5 ml syringe, then the box was placed in cool storage at 15 0C, 20 0C and room temperature, for 72 hours. The results showed that the best colors of Keprok Selayar and Keprok Tejakula were obtained by the degreening at 15 0C, in Siam Kintamani it was obtained by degreening at 20 0C. Degreening significantly reduced the total chlorophyll content, and increased β-cryptoxanthin content. The content of β-cryptoxanthin after degreening was 3 folds higher on highland Citrus reticulata than lowland citrus.Keywords: citrus color index, chlorophill, degreening, ethylene, tropical citrusABSTRAKDegreening adalah proses perombakan warna hijau pada kulit jeruk diikuti dengan proses pembentukan warna jingga. Warna jingga adalah campuran antara β-cryptoxanthin dengan β-citraurin. Pigmen yang berkontribusi dalam pembentukan β-citraurin adalah β-cryptoxanthin dan zeaxanthin. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah (1) Mendapatkan suhu degreening yang tepat dalam pembentukan warna jingga pada beberapa varietas jeruk, (2) Identifikasi dan penentuan kadar pigmen β-cryptoxanthin dan kandungan total klorofil pada kulit jeruk setelah degreening. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PKHT IPB dan LIPI Cibinong pada bulan Juli 2013 sampai Desember 2013, dan bulan Februari 2016 sampai Mei 2017. Degreening dilakukan dengan menginjeksikan gas etilen konsentrasi 100 ppm ke dalam wadah tertutup yang berisi jeruk menggunakan syringe 5 ml, kemudian disimpan pada suhu 15 0C, 20 0C dan suhu ruang, selama 72 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa warna terbaik jeruk Keprok Selayar dan Tejakula diperoleh dengan degreening pada suhu 15 0C, Siam Kintamani diperoleh dengan degreening pada suhu 20 0C. Degreening dapat menurunkan kandungan total klorofil secara tajam, dan terbukti meningkatkan kandungan pigmen β-cryptoxanthin. Kandungan pigmen β-cryptoxanthin setelah degreening 3 kali lebih tinggi pada jeruk keprok dataran tinggi dibandingkan dengan dataran rendah.Kata kunci: citrus color index, degreening, etilen, jeruk tropika, klorofil

Abstract

Limbah buah belimbing banyak dihasilkan dari kegiatan penjarangan buah maupun ketika panen raya. Limbah tersebut belum optimal dalam pemanfaatannya, sehingga dapat menimbulkan bau yang tidak sedap di area sekitar kebun belimbing. Limbah tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik cair (POC) dalam budidaya tomat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan dosis pupuk organik cair limbah belimbing yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kualitas tomat untuk mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan di Attaqie Farm, Tuban, Jawa Timur, bulan Agustus 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok satu faktor yaitu POC limbah buah belimbing dengan 4 taraf dosis yaitu 0 ml, 25 ml, 35 ml, dan 45 ml POC setiap polibag dengan tiga kali ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan lima sampel tanaman. Pemupukan dilakukan setiap minggu sejak 2 sampai 10 minggu setelah tanam (MST) atau selama 9 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis pupuk organik cair 35 ml lebih efektif dan efisien dalam memberikan hasil terbaik untuk produksi dan kualitas tomat yang ditunjukkan pada peubah jumlah buah, bobot segar buah dan kualitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis bakteri, POC limbah buah belimbing telah sesuai dengan standar mutu yang ditetapkan. Kata kunci: kandungan bakteri, tingkat kematangan tomat, total padatan terlarut

Abstract

Starfruit belongs to the category with non-climacteric respiration patterns and is prone to perishability. Efforts to inhibit the decline in quality in both physical and chemical changes involve using edible coatings and low-temperature storage. This study aims to determine the optimal concentration of edible coating materials in maintaining the quality and shelf life of starfruit. The research was conducted from July to December 2019, at the Taman Buah Mekarsari, Bogor, West Java, and the Postharvest Laboratory of IPB. The study employed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor was starfruit varieties consisting of two levels, Malaya and Dewi. The second factor was the edible coating consisting of five levels: without edible coating (control); chitosan 1.0% + 0.1% lemongrass oil; chitosan 1.0% + 0.2% lemongrass oil; 0.1% lemongrass oil; and 0.2% lemongrass oil. Storage was conducted at a low temperature of 15 °C. The results showed that Malaya and Dewi starfruit varieties treated with edible coating chitosan 1.0% + 0.1% lemongrass oil and control stored at 15 °C could maintain the taste and appearance of starfruit for up to 10 days after treatment. Abstract

Program kemitraan dengan santri komunitas Pilar Al Jabar merupakan suatu kegiatan yang telah berlangsung mulai tahun 2018 dan masih berlangsung sampai saat ini (2023). Kegiatan ini memberikan wadah untuk belajar urban farming (pertanian perkotaan) kepada masyarakat dan santri. Kegiatan meliputi budidaya lahan sempit di pekarangan dengan penanaman sayuran sebagai sumber pangan lestari, dan untuk area hijau yang dimanfaatkan untuk kesehatan, serta penambahan nilai estetika di lingkungan. Kegiatan urban farming ini diharapkan dapat membawa dampak positif bagi lingkungan dan warga. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah; Tercipta pengembangan sistem bercocok tanam yang efektif dan efisien bagi mitra pengabdian; Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, kesadaran dan memotivasi mitra khususnya urban farming sebagai sumber pangan di lahan sempit yang juga bisa menjadi sumber pendapatan; Terciptanya wirausaha baru dengan kemampuan urban farming berbasis komunitas. Kegiatan sosialisasi, motivasi dan pelatihan pembuatan kompos, POC dan budikdamber ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Desember 2022 di Perumahan Jatinegara Baru, Jakarta Timur. Peserta yang hadir dalam kegiatan pelatihan adalah masyarakat dan santri Al Jabar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini sangat baik, yang dibuktikan dengan keberlanjutannya kegiatan pertanian perkotaan mulai dari budidaya sampai pemasaran mingguan dan tetap berlangsung dalam pendampingan. Dari evaluasi menunjukkan, kegiatan yang awalnya hanya difahami oleh peserta sebesar 10%, menjadi 100% dengan nilai “sangat bermanfaat” yang diperoleh oleh peserta, dan pemilihan metode yang diberikan berupa teori dan praktik merupakan metode yang dirasa sangat sesuai untuk peserta.Kata Kunci: budidaya; pekarangan; pertanian perkotaan; pertanian Berkelanjutan; urban farming
