Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to integrate this concept into the school environment, one way being through learning, which helps students understand and practice the teachings of Islam in a moderate and tolerant manner.Methodology – This research employs a qualitative and descriptive approach, utilizing the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The subjects of our Community Service activities consisted of 19 teachers and 39 students from three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the Central Maluku district, namely Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Hidayah Liang, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salman Al Farisi Liang, and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Kahar 2 Iha Liang.Findings – Training on strengthening numeracy literacy and science literacy based on religious moderation can improve the ability of teachers at 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Central Maluku district to implement numeracy literacy-based mathematics learning and science literacy-based science learning. The pre-test results showed an average score of 27, while the post-test average increased significantly to 75.3. On the other hand, for the application of numeracy literacy learning and science literacy based on religious moderation, there are still teachers who struggle to apply it.Contribution – This research can improve the ability of teachers and students regarding numeracy literacy and science literacy at 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Central Maluku district, as well as understanding and applying the concept of religious moderation in everyday life.

Abstract

Communication skills in mathematics learning are very necessary to achieve good learning outcomes. This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication skills in completing building space material. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with the number of subjects used, namely 1 person. The chosen subject is the student who obtained the highest score. The instruments used are tests and interviews. Tests are used to select subjects and interviews are conducted to determine students' reasoning abilities. The data analysis technique used is using qualitative data analysis, namely using the stages of data collection, data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that AW subjects meet 7 indicators of mathematical communication skills, namely subjects are able to connect real objects, images, and diagrams into mathematical ideas, subjects can explain ideas, situations, and mathematical relations orally and in writing with real objects, images, graphs, and algebra, subjects can express everyday events in language or mathematical symbols,  subjects can listen, discuss, and write about mathematics, subjects can read with comprehension a written mathematical presentation, subjects can make conjectures, construct arguments, formulate definitions, and generalizations, and subjects can explain and make questions about mathematics that have been studied, while subject AB only meets 3 indicators out of 7 indicators used

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkenalkan dan memperdalam konsep deep learning berbasis kasih sayang (deep love) bagi guru madrasah di Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat (SBB), Maluku. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui seminar nasional interaktif pada 7 Oktober 2025 di Aula MAN Gemba, diikuti 112 guru dan kepala madrasah dari jenjang MI, MTs, dan MA. Metode yang digunakan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi panel, refleksi kelompok, dan workshop kilat perancangan modul pembelajaran. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 100% peserta memahami definisi deep learning sebagai pembelajaran bermakna yang menekankan pemahaman konseptual dan penerapan autentik, sementara 98,2% menyatakan terinspirasi mengubah praktik mengajar menuju pendekatan yang lebih humanis dan berbasis empati. Capaian utama adalah lahirnya komitmen kolektif untuk membentuk komunitas praktisi “Deep Love” di Maluku

Abstract

Abstrak: Strategi pengelolaan kelas meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran secara terstruktur, dengan tujuan menciptakan disiplin positif, mengatur perilaku siswa, serta membangun hubungan yang harmonis antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi pengelolaan kelas yang diterapkan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas bilingual SMP Negeri 14 Ambon, serta (2) mengkaji faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam strategi pengelolaan kelas tersebut yang memengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa di kelas bilingual SMP Negeri 14 Ambon. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono, yaitu melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk memastikan keabsahan data, penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi data dengan membandingkan hasil dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) strategi pengelolaan kelas dalam upaya meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas bilingual SMP Negeri 14 Ambon terdiri dari empat tahap utama, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. (2) Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi strategi tersebut terbagi menjadi pendukung dan penghambat. Faktor pendukung meliputi kompetensi guru, fasilitas pembelajaran seperti infokus, kurikulum yang terintegrasi, serta motivasi yang meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kendala bahasa, keterbatasan fasilitas, keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya pelatihan guru, dan resistensi dari siswa maupun orang tua. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pengelolaan kelas yang efektif berperan penting dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas bilingual SMP Negeri 14 Ambon. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan mendukung penguasaan dua bahasa, yaitu Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris, sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan standar internasional. Strategi yang diterapkan mencakup penggunaan model pembelajaran untuk mata pelajaran IPA dan Matematika, serta pemberian motivasi dan penghargaan secara rutin kepada siswa. Abstract

Scientific writing skills are essential for students in higher education, particularly in preparing them to contribute to academic publications. However, many students still face difficulties in composing scientific articles that meet academic standards. This study aims to develop a Project-based Blended Learning (PjB2L) model to improve the ability of IAIN Ambon students to write scientific articles. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants were 24 students from Mathematics Education, PGMI, and MPI study programs who had previously conducted research. Data were collected through a media validity questionnaire, a scientific article writing ability test, and a scientific article writing rubric. The results indicate that the developed PjB2L model is both valid and effective in enhancing students’ scientific writing skills, as evidenced by a significant increase in pretest and posttest scores after the learning intervention. In conclusion, the PjB2L model serves as a viable alternative learning approach that leverages information and communication technology (ICT) to facilitate both independent and collaborative learning in scientific writing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of learning videos on mathematical ability. The design used to test the research questions is a meta-analysis. Based on searches on the ERIC, SAGE, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar Databases, 28 measures of effect were found that met the specified inclusion criteria. Data analysis was carried out with the help of JASP 0.16.1.0 software. The results of the analysis showed that the use of learning video media had a major effect on mathematical ability when compared to conventional learning media (d = 1.12; p < 0.01). The results of the analysis based on moderator variables found that the influence of the flipped classroom model compared to conventional teaching on mathematics ability differed according to the level of education (Qb = 36.25; p < 0.05), and the measured ability (Qb = 15.7; p < 0.05), but did not differ according to the sample size group (Qb = 0.98; p > 0.05) and the year of study (Qb = 2.31; p < 0.05)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the items based on the classical test theory approach. This research is exploratory research with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study were data from the 2015 Science Subject National Examination for Junior High School in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) province. The samples taken in this study were 9054 students. Test takers are grouped into high groups and low groups based on the total score obtained. Estimation of item parameters using Excel and QUEST. The results of the analysis show that based on the classical test theory approach, the average item difficulty level ) in the high group is in the easy category, while in the low group, it is in the medium category, the average item differential index ( ) shows that the test ability to distinguish students with high abilities and low abilities in both the high and low groups is in the unfavorable category; and the reliability coefficient of the test (ρ) in the high group has high reliability, and the low group has perfect reliability

Abstract

Effectiveness of the flipped classroom model in minimizing student achievement gaps in higher education. Various previous experimental studies have highlighted the potential of the flipped classroom model (FCM) for improving student learning performance. However, the question of how far FCM can make a positive contribution to various academic abilities remains unclear. Some studies suggest that some learning models tend to benefit students with higher academic abilities (UA) than those with lower abilities (LA). Objectives: This study aims to explore whether the application of FCM can be effective in reducing the learning performance gap between LA and UA students. Method: We used an ANCOVA test with a 3 x 2 factorial design to answer this research question. We applied three different learning models (FCM, PBL, and Expository) to a total of 25 LA and UA students. Results: The analysis results showed that using the FCM model was more successful in reducing the learning performance gap between LA and UA students compared to the PBL and expository models. Conclusion: These findings make a significant contribution to our understanding of the effectiveness of specific learning models in addressing learning performance gaps, with important implications for the development of more inclusive learning policies and practices.
