Abstract

The reason for this research is based on formulative research to recognize “Challenges in Quality of Education in HEIs of Pakistan”. Formulative research method is used to execute the goals of the research in less time and inexpensive means. In the past few years, education sector is Pakistan is confronting a lot of provocations in education sector such as: curriculum, less training institutions, corruption in education, teacher’s behavior, less research work. Coming-up concerns in the education sector are less training institutions and less research work and research is necessary to follow for the progress and power of any economy. The aim of our study is to recognize the important challenges which is being suffered by the academic sector in Pakistan the past few years. In order to carry the reliability and validity of the data for results, the researcher has used triangulation. The researcher has used questionnaire for students, questionnaire for teachers and interviews of the management in order to conduct this triangulation. The primary data was gathered from the focused group of students using a sample of 100 questionnaires for each university were filled by the students of the selected five universities. This attempt of conducting the research will play an essential part in the progress of Pakistan. In this study the dependent variables are: Curriculum, Corruption in education, less training institutions, Teacher’s behavior, less research work and dependent variable is Quality of Education. For future research, study can be done on solutions of these problems. In order to improve the literacy rate, the government of Pakistan has stated that education is mandatory for each and every citizen in the country.

Abstract

Incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is revolutionizing the educational domain, presenting new avenues for improved student support and administrative effectiveness. This research delves into the prospective impacts of AI chatbots in HEIs, focusing on their influence on teaching, learning, and research activities. Adopting a Narrative Literature Review (NLR) approach, the study compiles and synthesizes existing research on the role of AI chatbots in higher education, drawing from a wide range of academic sources and scholarly literature. The results underscore the significant potential of AI chatbots to streamline administrative functions, enrich student learning experiences, and facilitate research endeavours. Nonetheless, challenges such as concerns over academic integrity, difficulties in accurately interpreting user inputs, and the need for appropriate resource allocation present substantial barriers to the successful adoption of AI chatbots in HEIs. The study emphasizes the critical need for proactive strategies to address ethical issues, ensure comprehensive training for all stakeholders, and formulate clear guidelines for the responsible deployment of AI chatbots in higher education. By overcoming these challenges and capitalizing on the advantages of AI technologies, HEIs can fully exploit the capabilities of AI chatbots, thereby fostering a more efficient, effective, inclusive, and forward-thinking educational environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational leadership, emphasizing the balance between maximizing AI’s benefits and managing its ethical responsibilities. The research aims to analyze how managing AI’s benefits, such as administrative efficiency (84% agreement) and data-driven decision-making (75% agreement), along with addressing ethical risks, including privacy concerns (85% agreement) and accountability (82% agreement), impacts institutional outcomes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data from 150 survey responses were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analyses, revealing positive correlations between AI management and institutional outcomes (e.g., r = 0.68 for administrative efficiency). Qualitative data from 20 interviews were analyzed thematically, with prominent themes including privacy, fairness, and transparency. The quantitative data showed that effective AI management is significantly associated with improved institutional outcomes, while qualitative insights underscored the need for ethical frameworks to guide AI use. Balancing AI’s operational benefits with ethical safeguards enhances institutional effectiveness and supports responsible AI integration in educational settings. These findings provide a foundation for policies that promote transparency, accountability, and fairness in AI-driven educational leadership.
