Abstract

The Andi Azis incident gave an important meaning to the historical traces of the Indonesian military's struggle in eradicating the rebellion which was actually driven by its officers at that time. The incident that occurred in early April 1950 in Makassar, South Sulawesi was not only interpreted as a form of rebellion due to dissatisfaction with Jakarta's political policies in managing the formation of the state which at that time was still unstable but also as a social resistance of the regional army as the most effective representation of people's power in its time. Historical Research analysis which refers to the historical research methodology process in the form of Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography in this article will try to juxtapose the theories of Insurgency and National Security so that the interesting dimensions of the Andi Azis incident bring new perspectives in the development of defense strategy studies and military philosophy. Andi Azis' rebellion movement can be a separate experience and lesson, especially for the Indonesian Armed Forces (Tni) in promoting a social approach and oneness with the community in addition to repressive measures in tackling similar movements, which are actually still happening in several regions in the archipelago.

Abstract

Operasi dukungan udara merupakan bagian integral dari strategi pertahanan nasional, yang melibatkan koordinasi efektif antara pasukan darat, laut, dan udara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi bantuan tembakan udara sebagai elemen kunci dalam operasi dukungan udara. Tembakan udara memiliki peran vital dalam memberikan keunggulan taktis, mengatasi ancaman, dan memastikan keberhasilan misi. Melalui analisis literatur review, artikel ini mendemonstrasikan bagaimana bantuan tembakan udara mampu meningkatkan respons cepat terhadap situasi darurat, mengefektifkan penggunaan sumber daya, dan meningkatkan mobilitas pasukan. Selain itu, pembahasan akan mencakup perkembangan teknologi terbaru dalam sistem tembakan udara, memperkuat argumen tentang relevansinya dalam konteks modern. Keberhasilan operasi militer sering kali tergantung pada kemampuan untuk mengendalikan dan memanfaatkan ruang udara. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman mendalam tentang urgensi bantuan tembakan udara menjadi krusial bagi perencanaan strategis dan taktis. Artikel ini juga membahas tantangan dan peluang yang terkait dengan penerapan tembakan udara dalam operasi dukungan udara, termasuk koordinasi lintas cabang dan integrasi teknologi canggih. Dengan mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek tersebut, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang peran kritis bantuan tembakan udara dalam konteks operasi dukungan udara. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan kebijakan dan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam memanfaatkan potensi penuh tembakan udara dalam mendukung keamanan nasional

Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis of the Falkland/Malvinas conflict that occurred in 1982 with the aim of understanding the differences in armament and military equipment resources between Argentina and the United Kingdom, as well as its impact on the outcome of the war. In the introduction section, we outline the research problem, which is the comparison of armament and military equipment between both sides, and describe the purpose and objectives of the research. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach to gather data from various secondary sources such as books, scholarly journals, and research reports. This allows researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Falkland/Malvinas war. The results of this research describe the superiority held by the United Kingdom in almost all aspects of armament, including the Sea Harrier fighter aircraft, which proved to be a decisive factor in their victory in aerial combat. The impact of these differences was Argentina's defeat and significant damage. The conclusion of this research highlights the importance of thorough military preparedness, advanced technology, and effective diplomacy in preventing armed conflicts. War will only bring great losses to both sides, as seen in the Falkland/Malvinas War. Therefore, diplomacy should be promoted as a solution to resolve international disputes and avoid unnecessary bloodshed

Abstract

National defense is all efforts to defend state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of the entire nation from threats and disturbances to the integrity of the nation and state. The problems of national defense, which are increasingly varied in the development of the threat spectrum, certainly require reliable human resources for implementing or making national defense policies. Indonesia with a large population certainly has great potential in the procurement of defense resources. However, if the quality cannot keep up with current threat dynamics and technology then the number is meaningless. The purpose of this research is to find out how to increase the role of Indonesian defense human resources to deal with threats that occur to realize national security. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis method with data collection techniques through literature and library studies. The results of this study are that the government’s role is very important in increasing the superiority of defense human resources. Such as providing training, education, providing motivation, and synergizing with institutions and parties related to the defense industry to improve HR capabilities in dealing with technological advances

Abstract

Ketahanan energi, yaitu kemampuan suatu daerah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energinya secara mandiri, menjadi isu strategis terutama di wilayah pedesaan yang belum terjangkau secara optimal oleh jaringan listrik konvensional. Dusun Pasir Bangkonong yang terletak di Kabupaten Karawang merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan melalui sumber energi terbarukan guna memperkuat ketahanan energi lokal. Dengan asumsi jumlah 147 bangunan dan populasi sekitar 400 jiwa, Dusun Pasir Bangkonong memiliki sejumlah fasilitas umum penting, antara lain 3 unit sekolah, 2 tempat ibadah, 3 balai desa, 3 kantor desa, 1 fasilitas olahraga, dan 2 unit posyandu, serta 3 bangunan lainnya, dengan kapasitas PLTS 52,8 kWp untuk membutuhkan pasokan energi listrik yang andal dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) off-grid. Hasil menunjukkan koneksi grounding efektif dengan tahanan terendah 0,63–0,83 ohm, serta output inverter yang stabil pada 219–220 V dan frekuensi 50 Hz. Tegangan DC input bervariasi antara 456–502 V dengan arus 0,60–0,84 A, menunjukkan beberapa indikasi penurunan kinerja pada beberapa string. Secara keseluruhan, sistem PLTS menunjukkan performa baik dan mendukung pasokan energi berkelanjutan bagi fasilitas umum dan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This study examines the enhancement of the C-212-200 aircraft’s navigation system capability in supporting Weather Modification Operations (OMC) during the G20 Summit held in Bali in 2022, with a focus on the implementation of the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and Transponder Mode S as part of the system's modernization. The objective of the research is to analyze the effectiveness of integrating these two systems in improving flight safety, situational awareness, and operational efficiency. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving technical interviews, field observations, and document analysis within an operational unit of the Indonesian Air Force. The findings indicate that TCAS significantly enhances pilot situational awareness by providing real-time Traffic Advisory (TA) and Resolution Advisory (RA), enabling prompt and accurate conflict avoidance maneuvers. Meanwhile, Transponder Mode S strengthens two-way communication between the aircraft and Air Traffic Control (ATC) through selective interrogation, allowing precise transmission of aircraft position, identification, and altitude data. The integration of both systems has been shown to reduce pilot workload, minimize mid-air collision risk, and improve decision-making effectiveness, especially in high-traffic airspace such as during the G20 Summit. The study also highlights non-technical challenges, particularly the limited readiness of human resources—including avionics technicians and pilots—who require further training in operating and maintaining integrated digital navigation systems. Overall, the modernization of the C-212-200 navigation system through TCAS and Mode S proves effective in supporting non-combat flight operations more safely and efficiently, and represents a strategic step toward civil–military interoperability and digital transformation within the national air defense system.
