Abstract

Globalization can cause several problems and pressures of mind for both individuals and groups. Various kinds of problems can certainly lead to psychological disorders, one of which is depression. Indonesia itself is one of the countries with a high number of people with depressive disorders. Depressive disorder itself can have many consequences ranging from lack of enthusiasm to even death. Facing these serious problems, the government should be able to address the mental disorder that is currently happening. However, the reality is still far from this. Inadequate infrastructure, equality problems for each region, and shortages of experts are the main problems at this time. The expert system is considered to be a solution in solving these problems. Web-based expert systems can replace the role of experts in the process of initial diagnosis of depressive disorders, patients can also access them easily. The calculation method implemented is the Certainty Factor method. This method is considered suitable in the diagnosis of depression. The implementation of the CF method in the diagnosis of depression can provide a confidence level of up to 94.9%. The expert system is expected to be able to eliminate human errors, speed up the diagnostic process, make it easier for health workers, and provide standards for related parties in handling mental disorders

Abstract

Paper ini mempresentasikan kegiatan pendampingan research and development kepada mitra UKM yaitu PT Stechoq Robotika Indonesia. Kegiatan yang dilakukan bertujuan menghasilkan prototype Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui kerjasama tiga perguruan tinggi, yaitu Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU), Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY), dan Universitas Janabadra Yogyakarta (UJB). Dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan desain prototype AGV yang mampu membawa barang dalam jumlah besar.

Abstract

Efisiensi dan akurasi dalam sistem absensi merupakan aspek krusial dalam manajemen kehadiran guru di institusi pendidikan. Di MI Nurul Huda, sistem absensi manual masih mendominasi menyebabkan sejumlah tantangan seperti ketidaktepatan pencatatan, potensi kecurangan, dan kesulitan dalam pengelolaan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan sistem absensi berbasis teknologi geolocation dan foto realtime guna mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengembangan aplikasi, serta evaluasi awal. Sistem absensi ini dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi geolocation untuk memastikan posisi geografis guru saat melakukan absensi dan foto realtime untuk verifikasi visual. Pada tahap implementasi awal, antarmuka aplikasi dirancang sederhana dan mudah digunakan, memungkinkan guru untuk melakukan absensi dengan memasukkan Nomor Unik Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan (NUPTK) dan kata sandi, lalu mengambil foto dan lokasi saat ini sebagai bukti absensi. Hasil evaluasi awal menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini dapat meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi proses absensi. Tingkat akurasi kehadiran meningkat hingga 95%, dan waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk proses absensi berkurang sebesar 50%. Selain itu, kasus kecurangan berhasil diminimalisir hingga 80%. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi praktis dalam pengembangan teknologi absensi dan menjadi model bagi institusi pendidikan lainnya yang ingin mengadopsi teknologi serupa. Implementasi teknologi modern seperti geolocation dan foto realtime diharapkan dapat memodernisasi proses administrasi di sektor pendidikan, khususnya dalam manajemen kehadiran.

Abstract

Environmental damage in Indonesia is concerning, with the massive loss of green spaces in recent years. Consequently, there has been a drastic decline in air quality, contributing to the rise of diseases such as stroke, heart conditions, lung diseases, and even birth defects. The implementation of environment-based waqf activities, with waqf items in the form of trees, offers a practical solution that is accessible to the public. However, this effort has not yet been widely adopted or well-facilitated. The growth of tree seedlings is influenced by several factors, such as air temperature, soil pH, humidity, and carbon particles. A method for monitoring and alerting users is needed to ensure optimal plant growth. An IoT system is integrated for the plants in the waqf areas. Sensor data will be displayed on a screen, with an alerting function that sends alarms through a speaker. Mahogany seedlings were selected for testing due to their rapid growth. Integrating IoT devices for monitoring and alerting effectively increased the height of mahogany seedlings. Based on a two-month test on 10 seedlings across two different areas, a difference of 2.4 cm per two months, or 14.4 cm per year, was observed between IoT-integrated and non-IoT areas.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the digital graphic design skills of the residents of Jamu Kiringan Tourism Village to promote local potential based on cultural identity. The main issues faced include limited digital media utilization and a lack of skills in creating visual promotional content, resulting in conventional and less engaging promotion. The community service was carried out using the Participatory Community-Based Training method combined with service-learning, consisting of four main stages: preparation and coordination, Canva training, mentoring and creative discussions, and evaluation and presentation of results. A total of 26 participants attended the three-day training, learning design principles, Canva usage, and practicing design creation with local themes. The results showed a significant improvement in technical skills, creativity, and participants’ understanding of visual branding strategies. The participants’ designs highlighted traditional village themes, such as herbal drinks and local atmosphere, and became adaptable digital promotional media across various platforms. This activity not only addressed the urgent need for digital promotion in the village but also motivated intergenerational collaboration and opened up sustainable creative economy opportunities for the village.

Abstract

Kelompok Batik Natural Art di Kelurahan Giripurwo, Gunungkidul, menghadapi masalah keterbatasan pasokan listrik PLN yang berdampak pada efisiensi produksi batik cap. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman komunitas mengenai pemanfaatan energi baru terbarukan (EBT) melalui sosialisasi panel surya sebagai alternatif energi yang ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah participatory action research (PAR), dengan melibatkan anggota kelompok secara aktif dalam diskusi, identifikasi kebutuhan energi, serta penyusunan rencana aksi sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman anggota terhadap panel surya dan munculnya komitmen internal kelompok untuk merencanakan pendanaan mandiri instalasi panel surya. Kegiatan ini juga memunculkan kesadaran baru menuju transformasi sosial yang lebih mandiri dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

Inter-cell voltage imbalance degrades efficiency, accelerates aging, and increases failure risk in electrochemical energy storage systems. This study models and predicts balancing-charger conditions using two machine-learning algorithms Random Forest (RF) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) across packs of 4, 8, 10, and 15 cells with five dataset scales (1,000; 5,000; 10,000; 15,000; and 20,000 samples). Voltage data were obtained through simulation and laboratory measurements on lithium-ion cells within 3.2–4.2 V, then normalized and split into training and testing sets. Performance was evaluated using accuracy, confusion matrices, and feature-importance analysis. Results show RF achieves 0.98 accuracy for 4-cell packs and remains high at 0.93 for 15-cell packs, whereas KNN attains only 0.94 and 0.37 on the same configurations. RF exhibits predictions concentrated along the confusion-matrix diagonal with well-distributed feature weights, indicating robustness to increasing dimensionality. The contributions are threefold: (1) an evaluation framework for comparing classifiers in multi-cell scenarios; (2) empirical evidence of RF’s scalability for detecting balancing conditions from single-voltage inputs; and (3) practical implications for BMS operation more accurate balancing decisions, prioritization of problematic cells, reduced futile equalization cycles, and potential energy savings together with extended service life. These findings recommend RF as a core algorithm for machine-learning-based balancing chargers, particularly for real-world deployment on power-constrained edge devices.

Abstract

According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), 3.7% of the population in Indonesia experiences depression. Depression can impact both the mental and physical conditions of an individual. WHO reports that every year, approximately 800,000 people die by suicide, with depression being one of the causes. Depression treatment is handled by a professional, and in the field, the process of diagnosing depression disorders is still generally done manually by them. This creates many opportunities for errors, despite the fact that each level of depression disorder requires different handling. Inadequate treatment can hinder the patient's recovery and may potentially worsen their condition. A precise and efficient method is needed to diagnose depression disorders. An expert system can reduce the risk of errors that occur with manual calculations. The implemented case-based reasoning method can classify depression disorders. Testing was conducted using 30 datasets as initial knowledge, with 20 sample data points for testing, randomly selected from the population through questionnaires. The classification accuracy for depression disorders reached up to 90%.

Abstract

Giripurwo Village, Purwosari Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, has significant potential in agribusiness and creative economy but faces geographical and infrastructural challenges, such as hilly terrain, limited water availability, and reliance on an unstable PLN electricity supply. The Kosabangsa Program was implemented to support community economic independence through the integration of renewable energy technology (EBT) and the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as the enhancement of managerial capacity and financial literacy. The program includes the implementation of a solar-powered automatic irrigation system for Gama Umami forage gardens, installation of solar panels in batik production houses, and training in simple financial bookkeeping. The results indicate improved efficiency in livestock feed production, continuity in batik production processes, and enhanced management and financial recording skills among the partners. The application of technology not only reduces operational costs but also promotes economic self-reliance and environmental awareness in the Giripurwo community. This program highlights the importance of integrating technology and community empowerment in increasing productivity and ensuring the sustainability of village enterprises.

Abstract

Pelatihan desain UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) di Pondok Pesantren Terpadu Al Mumtaz bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan peserta, terutama santri dan mahasiswa Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta, dalam merancang antarmuka pengguna yang efektif dan responsif. Workshop ini diselenggarakan sebagai bagian dari program pengabdian masyarakat untuk mendukung pengembangan website dan sistem informasi berbasis digital di lingkungan pesantren. Kegiatan pelatihan ini terdiri dari pengenalan konsep dasar UI/UX, praktik pembuatan wireframe, dan evaluasi desain aplikasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pesantren. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap prinsip-prinsip desain antarmuka pengguna, meskipun tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah dalam menerjemahkan teori ke dalam desain yang lebih kompleks dan interaktif. Evaluasi terhadap desain yang dihasilkan menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam hal interaktivitas dan fungsionalitas untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna. Sebagai tindak lanjut, disarankan untuk melakukan pelatihan lanjutan guna memperdalam keterampilan peserta dalam merancang aplikasi digital yang lebih canggih dan responsif. Workshop ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap digitalisasi Pondok Pesantren Al Mumtaz dan diharapkan dapat terus berlanjut dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan dan layanan pesantren berbasis teknologi.
