Abstract

This time, parent's academic information system service or SIORTU is often found on several campuses. One of the campuses that provides this system is Islam Indonesia University. This system made for helping parents of students to monitor their children's academic activities. Until now, many parent of student who have not used this system. There are 20.068 SIORTU accounts provided for parents of students from 2015 to 2018. But, only 7.361 or 36,68% account who active between April 2018 and Maret 2019. This research discusses factors that influence to use siorto and why these factors are included. Expectations of this research, gave feedback to owner of SIORTU service to improve that system, provide references for future research and provide references for educational institution. So that, SIORTU can be use as expected. This research is a quantitative research, which is done by analyzing the data in the form of voting from 75 respondents. The research respondent is parent of student from Islam Indonesia University who have used this system from April 2018 to March 2019. The software who they use to analyze is SmartPLS 3 by Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The result of analysis who obtained was pointing that factors that influence this system are social influence, facilitating condition, habit, behavioral intention. These factors are evidence from the result of the analysis which show a positive value on original sample estimate and significant value on T statistic.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi media informasi telah mengubah pencatatan dari manual menjadi komputerisasi, tidak terkecuali pada lembaga pendidikan pondok pesantren (ponpes). Dampak perkembangan teknologi di ponpes, salah satunya adalah manajemen data santri. Mengingat bahwa setiap tahun jumlah santri di ponpes terus bertambah, tentu hal tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap keefektifan dalam memanajemen data santri. Ponpes Mifahussalam Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu ponpes yang media informasinya masih dalam tahap pengembangan dan saat ini belum memiliki aplikasi untuk memanajemen data santri. Sampai saat ini belum ada penelitian yang membahas solusi untuk Ponpes Miftahussalam Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka diusulkanlah aplikasi bernama Santri Information Management System (SAIMS). SAIMS merupakan aplikasi yang memanajemen data santri di Ponpes Miftashusalam Yogyakarta. Perancangan desain SAIMS menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kelayakan desain SAIMS. Pengujian tingkat kelayakan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil penelitian didapatkan angka sebesar 76,8. Angka tersebut artinya NPS (Net Promoter Skor) masuk kategori passive atau pengguna merasa puas. Tingkat penerimaan (acceptable) masuk kategori acceptable yaitu desain dapat diterima. Sifat (adjective) masuk kategori good yang artinya desain bersifat baik. Tingkat (grade) masuk kategori B memiliki peringkat baik. Berdasarkan penjabaran yang telah disebutkan menunjukkan bahwa desain SAIMS layak digunakan.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) Lintang Songo is a business-based boarding school with 27 business units. Those business units include agriculture, plantations, fisheries, and animal husbandry. Alas, the most common problems in business management are irregular fish feeding, unchecked water quality leading to many fish growing slowly or dying, and the high use of PLN electricity for business unit operations. The aim of the Community Service Program (PKM) was to design automatic tools supported by New Renewable Energy (EBT) technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in the form of a Solar Home System. Automatic feeding devices and pond water quality sensors were targeted to overcome the aforementioned issues. The method used in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) was research and development (RD) through the design of the Solar Home System, automatic feeding devices, and pond water quality sensors. After testing the fish feed tools, the condition of the fish improved, and no fish died. Monitoring the pH of pond water shows a pH value of 6.5 – 7 so that it can be categorized as normal with a stable water circulation system. Testing of the solar home system showed the effectiveness of using solar panels at position 120 WP in sunny conditions, which indicates that the utilization of supporting equipment for smart farming at the Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School had been successful.

Abstract

Yayasan pondok pesantren Al Mumtaz yang terletak di Kapanewon Patuk, Gunung Kidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta adalah salah satu organisasi pendidikan yang memiliki pusat informasi untuk kebutuhan institusi pendidikan yang ada di dalamnya. Pusat Informasi Yayasan Pondok Pesantren Al Mumtaz atau yang selanjutnya disebut dengan Sistem INFOMTZ telah diwajibkan dalam keseharian di lingkungan pondok pesantren Al Mumtaz oleh tenaga pendidiknya. Sayangnya Sistem INFOMTZ masih luput dari ketepatan waktu pengisian data, serta belum sepenuhnya menggunakan basis data mandiri. Penelitian ini membahas faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi penggunaan Sistem INFOMTZ. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dari faktor-faktor yang ada terhadap penggunaan INFOMTZ. Adapun faktor-faktor menjadi indikator meliputi performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, dan behavioral intention. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan data dari 38 responden. Hasilnya variabel performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, dan behavioral intention berpengaruh positif terhadap penggunaan INFOMTZ, sedangkan variabel facilitating conditions tidak memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap penggunaan Sistem INFOMTZ.

Abstract

Water quality in fish farming environments has been a topic of research investigation for numerous years. While most studies have concentrated on managing water quality in fish ponds, there is a lack of research on implementing these practices on a commercial scale. Maintaining good water quality helps prevent disease, stress, and death in fish, resulting in higher yields and profits in fish farming operations. In our study, we gathered weekly data from two fish ponds in the Lintangsongo smart farming area over six months. To deal with the limited dataset, we utilized methods for reducing dimensionality, like the pairwise comparison of correlation matrices to eliminate the highest correlated predictors. We used techniques of feature selection, including XGBoost classification, and apart from that, we used Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) to determine the importance of features. This analysis identified ammonium and calcium as the top two predictors. These nutrients played a vital role in maintaining the paired cultivation system and promoting the robust development of Nile tilapia fish and water spinach. This process of detecting and distributing nutrients persists until the desired quantities of ammonium and calcium are reached. During each cycle, 0.7 g of ammonium sulfate and calcium nitrate are distributed, and the nutrient levels are assessed. Vernier sensors were employed for assessing nutrient values, and a system of actuators was integrated to supply the necessary nutrients to the smart farming environment using the closed-loop concept. This research investigates water quality management practices in fish farming, assesses their impact on fish health and profitability, identifies key water quality predictors, and implements a closed-loop system for nutrient delivery.

Abstract

Water pumps for irrigating rainfed rice fields are typically located near or at the edge of rivers, for example, in several locations in Bulakelor and Luwunggede, Brebes Regency villages. Similar situations are found in some rice fields in Sendangadi, Mlati, Sleman, and Piyungan, Bantul, where irrigation pumps are near or at the edge of rivers. According to residents, this reduces the suction power needed. Unfortunately, this also affects the terrain, making it damp and the roads muddy and even slippery, which makes the journey to the pump location difficult and risky, like slipping into a river when the ground is wet and slippery. There is a need to solve this problem by creating an automated pump system that implements IoT concepts using microcontrollers and other control components. The manual water pump is replaced with an electric pump to simplify operation. Control is carried out remotely using a mobile application accessible via websites or smartphones, allowing users to monitor pump operations such as usage duration, automatic on/off scheduling, pump status, and more. This reduces the risk of work accidents with the conventional system. A Renewable Energy System (RES) using a solar power plant (PLTS) is also applied to anticipate power outages, ensuring the IoT system continues to operate and irrigation remains manageable. The operation of such pumps still uses conventional methods that require direct human labor, and only specific individuals can operate the pumps. One example is using diesel pumps that are started by cranking, which requires significant physical strength. These pumps are typically managed collectively by the residents, who take turns operating the pump. Another factor is the age of the pump engine itself, which affects its lifespan. The usage is often not well controlled, with uncertainty in the operating times and operator negligence, such as forgetting to turn off the pump. The limitation of this research is that the operation is conducted automatically based on previous pump usage data, ignoring the size of the pipes used in irrigation and focusing on simplifying the operation of the water pump. The system was installed in rainfed fields in Pagergunung hamlet, where farmers used it to operate water pumps via smartphones with the Ubidots application installed and logged in. The results showed that two farmer groups found the automated pump system helpful. The system was built with several components, including the ESP8266 microcontroller, a rain sensor, a relay/power switch, and other supporting components. The system operates automatically according to the morning operational schedule, and operators from each farmer group can control the pump remotely. The pump operates automatically at 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, and 7:00 AM. If the rain sensor does not detect water drops/rain, the pump will typically run for 1.5 hours. The innovation in this research lies in implementing an automated pump system that operates according to a schedule while allowing remote control of the pump to irrigate rainfed fields.

Abstract

Sampah telah menjadi persoalan serius di tengah masyarakat karena sangat menganggu lingkungan. Tujuan dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk menerapkan teknologi insinerator sampah ramah lingkungan di TPS3R Bisma, Sleman. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa TPS3R Bisma sangat membutuhkan peralatan insinerator sampah, mengingat insinerator yang lama telah rusak karena pemilihan teknologi dan material yang kurang tepat. Rancang bangun mesin insinerator mempertimbangkan beberapa faktor teknis, sehingga desain akhir diharapkan sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lapangan. Penggunaan bata tahan api menjadi sangat penting untuk desain insinerator yang kuat dan tahan lama. Untuk memperkuat struktur bangunan, maka bagian bawah dicor terlebih dahulu. Konstruksi cerobong asap menggunakan pelat besi yang dirol untuk menyesuaikan ukuran diameter hasil perhitungan. Uji coba dilaksanakan untuk memastikan insinerator bekerja dengan baik, khususnya dari sisi temperatur pembakaran agar tercapai kondisi minimum pembakaran sempurna.

Abstract

Pompa air diesel manual/konvensional dapat diubah menjadi sistem pompa air otomatis dengan teknologi digital. Hal itu menjadi usulan solusi dari masalah masalah pompa air diesel yang terjadi. Berawal dari permasalahan operasional yang tidak mudah karena tidak semua warga mampu mengoperasikan pompa tersebut, membutuhkan tenaga lebih besar dalam pengoperasiannya, kondisi lokasi tempat pompa yang lembab, licin, dan rawan hewan berbisa menyulitkan operator dalam menyalakan dan mematikan pompa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode waterfall dengan fokus pengujian dan implementasi sistem yang dibangun. Tujuan implementasi sistem ini adalah memudahkan petani di kawasan lahan pertanian tadah hujan dalam mengoperasikan pompa distribusi air. Sistem yang dibangun pada penelitian ini telah diterapkan pada kondisi sesungguhnya di kawasan tadah hujan, padukuhan Pagergunung, Sitimulyo, Piyungan. Di sisi lain, penelitian ini menggunakan sistem cerdas dengan pewaktu dan kontrol jarak jauh menggunakan antar muka pengguna Ubidots. Hal ini yang membedakan penelitian ini dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Sistem ini diuji dalam dua tahap yaitu tahap sebelum implementasi dan tahap sesudah implementasi. Tahap pertama dilakukan pengujian sebanyak enam sesi, sedangkan tahap kedua dilakukan sebanyak dua sesi. Hasil pengujian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan 97% percobaan tahap pertama berhasil, sedangkan tahap kedua mencapai keberhasilan 100%. Sistem dapat berjalan secara otomatis sesuai jadwal, juga dapat dikontrol dari jarak jauh melalui perangkat mobila maupun seluler.
