Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap ada tidaknya pengaruh signifikan dan besarnya pengaruh tingkat pendidikan dan keterlibatan orang tua terhadap hasil belajar IPA selama pembelajaran daring pada siswa kelas VII di SMPN 11 Sungai Ambawang. Penelitian ini berbentuk kuantitatif dengan metode ex-post facto. Sumber data penelitian adalah seluruh siswa di tiga kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Sungai Ambawang.  Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar kuesioner keterlibatan orang tua yang diisi oleh siswa, dokumen tingkat pendidikan orang tua dari bagian administrasi sekolah, dan lembar hasil nilai ulangan harian IPA siswa dari guru. Data diinterpretasi dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan orangtua (thit 3,5>ttab 0,00028, sig. 0,001<0,05) dan keterlibatan orangtua (thit 2,37>ttab 0,00028, sig 0,020<0,05) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa. Tingkat pendidikan orang tua memberi pengaruh sebesar 51,1%, sedangkan keterlibatan orang tua berpengaruh 34,98% terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini menggabungkan 2 variabel yaitu tingkat pendidikan dan keterlibatan orang tua  dalam pembelajaran secara daring, berbeda dengan penelitian referensi yang lain yang hanya menggunakan salah satu dari 2 variabel tersebut serta penelitian dengan variabel ini mayoritas dilakukan pada penelitian sebelum Pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Each organism has a different role as an integral part of an ecosystem. Nevertheless, this concept tends to be random and inaccurate in building a complete understanding of ecosystem interaction pattern. This research aims to develop learning video on ecosytem interaction, specifically on functional feeding group of macrobenthos. The feasibility of video as a learning medium was seen from five aspects of simplicity, audio, integration, balance, and effectiveness. The development of learning video is divided into two stages of the preliminary and the formative evaluation stage. In the preliminary stage, a field survey was conducted in the examples of interaction forms presented in 3 commonly used Biology textbooks. The formative evaluation stage was conducted to test the effectiveness of the learning product through self-evaluation and expert review. 5 validators of 2 lecturers and 3 high school biology teachers were assign. Data analysis was done with Lawshe method. An ICC (Interclass Correlation Coefficient) reliability test was carried out to determine the reliability of the validation instrument. The results of the reliability test using the ICC yielded an ICC value of 0.758 which puts it in the excellent category. All criteria from the aspects of the learning video media validation sheet are declared valid with CVR and CVI values ​​of 1. Therefore, this learning video can be considered valid to be tested in limited trials.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the feasibility of the module as a sub-material for the use of biodiversity for class X SMA. Using Research and Development (R&D) research methods with a qualitative descriptive approach. This study validated the instrument and validated the module teaching materials. The selection of validators with purposive sampling technique which consists of 5 validators. Module validation to obtain quantitative data accurately through a Likert scale. The assessment aspect of the module contains the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics. The validation results obtained through the validator were analyzed using the CVR formula and continued to CVI, the results of the analysis of 4 aspects of the assessment namely the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics consisting of 15 indicators of module feasibility assessment obtained a CVI value of 0.99 which is said to be a valid module and proper to use.The aim of the study was to determine the feasibility of the module as a sub-material for the use of biodiversity for class X SMA. Abstract

Paper is needed in large quantities so the need for wood as a raw material for paper is getting higher. Composite paper uses non-wood raw materials can be an alternative to make paper. Bagasse can be used as a substitute for wood fiber and reduce waste in the environment to make composite paper. Likewise, newsprint can be used as a mixture of composite paper. This study aims to compare the quality of composite paper from bagasse and newsprint mixtures using different concentrations of NaOH. The method was an experimental completely randomized design (CRD) consisting three treatments of NaOH (4, 6, and 8%) and 10 replications. The parameters measured were paper thickness, grammage, mass density, and tensile resistance, and were using SPSS ANOVA and continued with LSD test. Paper thickness is affected by the amount of cellulose that was degraded as well as paper grammage, paper thickness and grammage have higher values at the lowest concentration of NaOH (4%). Meanwhile, the tensile strength showed long cellulose had not been degraded much and resulted in higher tensile strength. This also resulted in mass density showing the highest density at the highest concentration of NaOH (8%). In conclusion, concentration of 4% NaOH resulted in paper thickness, grammage, and higher tensile strength compared to 6% and 8% NaOH concentrations. However, the highest mass density was influenced by 8% NaOH concentration compared to 6% and 4% NaOH concentrations.

Abstract

Saat ini jumlah wirausaha di Indonesia baru mencapai 3,3% populasi dan masih tertinggal dari beberapa negara. Mengingat rendahnya tingkat wirausaha di Indonesia dan kemudahan teknologi pada zaman ini seharusnya mengembangkan ide dan inovasi baru bukanlah hal sulit bagi kalangan muda khususnya mahasiswa. Dengan adanya teknologi pada zaman sekarang mahasiswa diharapkan mampu membangun jiwa kewirausahaan. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk melahirkan wirausaha khususnya dari kalangan mahasiswa adalah dengan mendorong lembaga pendidikan untuk memasukkan pendidikan kewirausahaan dalam kurikulum dan melakukan usaha selain perkuliahan misalnya dengan webinar. Webinar kewirausahaan dengan tema “Show Up Your Mind to Be a Success Entrepreneur” dilakukan dengan tujuan agar dapat menambah minat, motivasi, dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berwirausaha. Metode yang dilakukan dalam webinar ini antara lain adalah sosialisasi, penyampaian materi, dan tanya jawab serta diskusi. Kegiatan webinar di fokuskan bagi alumni dan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura. Secara umum, kegiatan webinar dikategorikan sukses dan berjalan dengan baik dibuktikan dengan jumlah peserta yang hadir dan antusias peserta webinar pada saat sesi disukusi dan tanya jawab.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji sejauh mana pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Cooperative Script (CS) dipadu Reciprocal Teaching (RT) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi Universitas Tanjungpura. Desain penelitian yakni penelitian eksperimen semu atau quasi experimental, dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Postest Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Statistik inferensial menggunakan Analisis kovarians (Anakova) bantuan program SPSS 23.0 for Windows dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 (P<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Cooperative Script dipadu Reciprocal Teaching terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Tanjungpura.

Abstract

Learning media can be arranged based on the results of literature studies from research on an object. This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media booklet sawi dayak (Elephantopus mollis Kunth). The stages in this research include the stage of collecting information through a literature study on the efficacy of the mustard mustard plant, the booklet preparation stage, the booklet validation stage, and the booklet revision stage in accordance with the suggestions from the validators. Aspects that are assessed in the feasibility test are aspects of format, content, and language. The results of the validation were then analyzed using Gregory's calculations. The results of data analysis show that the aspects of format, content, and language each get a value of 1.00 and the average of these three aspects is 1.00 with a very high validity category. It is concluded that this booklet media can be used as a learning medium

Abstract

This study aims to develop a module as teaching materials on the Sub Material Living Things Classification of living things sub-material with a discovery learning approach combined with folklore and determine students' responses to these teaching materials. This study uses the first three stages of the Thiagarajan 4D model development method: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments used were validation sheets and questionnaires. The sample in this study was class X high school students consisting of 15 people. The five product validators consisted of two lecturers from the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University, three biology teachers from 2 high schools in Pontianak City, and one from Sambas Regency. The module validation sheet consists of 4 aspects, namely content, language, presentation, and graphics consisting of 20 indicators. The student response questionnaire consists of three aspects, namely cognitive, affective, and conative aspects, comprising 26 statements. The response questionnaire validators consisted of 2 lecturers from the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Tanjungpura. Developing a module based on discovery learning sub-material classification of living things is declared feasible because it obtains a validity value of CVR = 1, meaning that the module is valid in content. Modules declared feasible are tested on a limited basis and obtain an average result of 81.9% in the very strong category. Further research is needed to test modules in larger classes.

Abstract

The mnemonic method is one of the procedures that is considered effective for improving students’ learning outcomes and memory. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the mnemonics methods in improving students' retention and learning outcomes in Biology class on the System of Biological Classifications. The pre-experimental method with one group of pre-test and post-test design was applied in this study. Thirty students of a secondary school in Pontianak were used as research samples taken by using intact group random sampling. The learning outcomes test used was 20 multiple-choice questions with four options having a validity level of 0.86 and a reliability of 0.87. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded: (1) the average learning outcomes before treatment was 48.50 and after treatment was 72.50; (2) the differences in the average student learning outcomes before treatment was = 48.50 and after treatment was = 72.50 (t = 5.517, p <0.05); (3) the level of increase in retention power after treatment of R = 0.85.06% is high. It is recommended that Science-Biology teachers apply mnemonics in a varied and sustainable manner to make it more useful and according to the content of the teaching material to be taught.
