Abstract

This research aims to describe MIPA teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment through the analysis of achievement aspects of knowledge assessment. This research used a descriptive method with SMP MIPA teachers in Pontianak City who have taught for more than 5 years and have an undergraduate degree as the population. The samples in this research, selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisted of 12 teachers who submitted MIPA test items. The research instrument used the data of the test item document designed by the teachers in the form of a multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed descriptively which included data reduction, systematic data display, and conclusion. The results showed that of the 12 test instruments made by with 380 questions in total, the teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment (Multiple Choice Questions) obtained 17.37% of knowledge aspect, 67.90% of understanding aspect, 8.68% of implementation aspect, and 6.05% of analysis aspect. There were no questions made related to evaluation and creation aspects. Keywords: teachers ability, designing knowledge assessment.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik, serta mengetahui proses pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan flashcard materi Sistem Eksresi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bunut Hulu. Subjek penelitian yaitu 22 peserta didik kelas VIII. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi proses pembelajaran dan aktivitas belajar, serta soal tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses pembelajaran pada siklus I sebesar 92,31% dan siklus II mencapai 100%. Aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 77,27% dan siklus II sebesar 90,91%. Hasil belajar menunjukkan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas pada siklus I adalah 18 orang dengan persentase 81,82% dan siklus II adalah 21 orang dengan persentase 95,45%. AbstractThe research aimed to improve the activities and learning outcomes of students, as well as to find out the learning process using SAVI learning models assisted by flashcard at Expression System material for Class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bunut Hulu. The research subjects were 22 students of class VIII. The research method used classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The instruments used observation sheets of the learning process and learning activities, as well as learning achievement test questions. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the learning process in the first cycle was 92.31% and the second cycle reached 100%. Learning activities of students in the first cycle was 77.27% and the second cycle was 90.91%. Learning outcomes show the number of students who completed in the first cycle was 18 people with a percentage of 81.82% and the second cycle was 21 people with a percentage of 95.45%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan respon siswa terhadap modul berbasis discovery learning materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan. Metode yang digunakan Research and Development mengacu pada Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi 7 tahapan meliputi penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan draft  produk, uji coba lapangan awal, revisi hasil uji coba, uji coba lapangan dan revisi produk operasional. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa SMAN 4 Pontianak, MAN 2 Pontianak dan SMA Mujahidin, dengan uji coba lapangan awal berjumlah 9 orang, sedangkan uji coba lapangan utama berjumlah 36 orang. Hasil validasi modul dari setiap aspek  kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, sajian, dan kegrafisan memperoleh nilai sebesar 1,00 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil respon uji coba lapangan awal  sebesar 81,73%, dan  uji coba lapangan utama 82,16%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul berbasis discovery learning layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan dan mendapatkan respon dengan kategori sangat kuat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media video berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi sistem pernapasan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas VIII SMP dan mengetahui respon yang diberikan siswa terhadap media video berbasis Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Developmant (RD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan meliputi analyze, design, develop, implement dan evaluate. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi media video berbasis Problem Based Learning, lembar validasi angket respon siswa yang divalidasi oleh 5 orang validator, dan angket respon siswa. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mandor. Hasil validasi yang dianalisis dengan rumus Aiken’s pada media video berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk aspek materi, media, dan kemanfaatan memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,94 sehingga dinyatakan valid. Uji coba skala kecil diperoleh nilai rata-rata seluruh respon siswa (kognitif, afektif, dan konatif) sebesar 87,31% yang dinyatakan sangat kuat. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa video berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi sistem pernapasan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil disposisi berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi kelas XI IPA SMA/MA di Kota Pontianak. Metode penelitian ini yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga sekolah yaitu SMAN 2, MAN 1, dan MAN 2 Pontianak berikut sampelnya sebanyak 74, 70, dan 70 orang dengan jumlah sampel keseluruhan sebanyak 214 orang. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu berupa angket CCTDI disposisi berpikir kritis. Instrument penelitian ini memiliki hasil validasi yang sangat baik dengan nilai alfa cronbatch atau rac = 0,955 kategori sangat tinggi, dengan nilai minimum yaitu 0,87 dengan kategori valid. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu disposisi berpikir kritis siswa dengan kategori tinggi 71,96%, kategori sedang  26,64%, dan kategori rendah 1,40%. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa siswa memiliki disposisi berpikir kritis dengan kategori tinggi maka siswa sudah memiliki disposisi yang baik dalam pembelajaran biologi.Kata Kunci: CCTDI, Deskriptif, Disposisi, dan Kategori. ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the profile of students' critical thinking dispositions in biology learning in class XI Sciene Senior High School in Pontianak City. This research method used is descriptive with a form of qualitative research. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The research was conducted in three schools, namely SMAN 2, MAN 1, and MAN 2 Pontianak along with a sample of 74, 70, and 70 people with a total sample size of 214 people. The instrument used was a CCTDI questionnaire for critical thinking disposition. This research instrument has very good validation results with a cronbatch alpha value or rac = 0.955 very high category, with a minimum value of 0.87 in the valid category. The results obtained were students' critical thinking disposition with high category as many 71.96%, medium category 26.64%, and low category 1.40%. The conclusion is that students have a high category of critical thinking disposition, so students already have a good disposition in learning biology.Keywords: CCTDI, Descriptive, Disposition, and Categories.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of a video powtoon learning media application based on guided inquiry submater application of the concept of substance pressure in organism as a learning media for students and to find responses by students to the powtoon video media. This research is Research and Development (R&D) research with the Borg and Gall development model which consists of ten stages, this research has only reached the seventh stage which includes potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, design revisions, product trials, and product revisions. The instruments used were the media validation sheet and the student response questionnaire validation sheet which was validated by 5 validators and the student response questionnaire. The subjects were students of class XI SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. The validation results obtained CVR and CVI values, namely 1 which has met the minimum limit of 0.99 so that it is declared valid. The product trial obtained an overall average score for aspects (cognition, affection, conation) which was 83,57% so it is categorized as very strong. It can be concluded that the powtoon video media based on guided inquiry sub material is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

Pendidikan dengan Kurikulum 2013 saat ini mengacu pada pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang mengembangkan kemampuan higher of thinking skill (HOTS) peserta didik seperti kemampuan berpikir kritis, argumentasi, keterampilan berpikir, pemecahan masalah, menciptakan, memperbarui, literasi. keberhasilan penerapan pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013 dapat didukung dengan penggunaan bahan ajar berupa LKPD. berdasarkan wawancara guru Biologi SMAN 1 Sunga Pinyuh, dalam pembelajaran bahan ajar yang guru gunakan adalah buku paket kemendikbud sedangkan peserta didik menggunakan buku penunjang Biologi dari penerbit yang di dalamnya juga terdapat LKPD yang digunakan untuk kegiatan diskusi. guru dibantu dengan media power point, menurut guru dapat membantu peserta didik memahami materi. namun, berdasarkan data hasil belajar peserta didik masih dalam kategori rendah dan yang terendah adalah submateri Invertebrata. berdasarkan wawancara dengan peserta didik, peserta didik merasa kesulitan memahami materi dengan buku yang digunakan berisi sajian materi yang banyak dengan gambar yang tidak berwarna sehingga tidak menarik minat baca peserta didik. berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya pengembangan bahan ajar berupa LKPD dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of comics on students' learning outcomes. The research population is students of eight grades. This research is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The determination of the research sample used the intact group technique. The average of students' learning outcomes in the experimental class, which is using comic is 15.29 while the control class, which is using PowerPoint is 11.90, and the value of effect size is 1.56. The learning by using comics is sufficient to increase the students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' misconceptions on the material of life organization systems and to determine the factors that cause misconceptions in students at SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research subjects were 30 students of class VIII H. The method used was case study method. Data collection techniques used diagnostic tests with CRI and non-tests in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that there were students' misconceptions on the material of life organization systems. The percentage of students' misconceptions that fall into the high category is the sub-material on the organism (73.33%). In the medium category, there are sub material organizations of life (56.67%), cells (60.83%), and organs (65.83%). In the low category, there are sub-material tissues (36.67%) and organ systems (27.5%). There are 5 factors that cause misconceptions, namely associative thinking (64.2%), incomplete reasoning (66.1%), wrong intuition (62.1%), student ability (57.1%), and student interest (54.3%).

Abstract

The research work aimed to find out the effect of cooperative model type teams games tournament on the student’s achievement of Senior High School Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa in grade XI in structure and function cell in the reproductive system. The research was quasi experimental design using nonequivalent control group design. Sampel was collected using saturation sampling, grade XI Science 1 as the experimental class and grade XI Science 2 as the control class. The instrument consisted of 20 multiple choice questions. The research finding showed that the average score of student’s achievement for the experimental class was 16,50 and for the contorl class was 14,61. Based on t test, the research obtained tcount > ttable (2,91 > 1,69). This meant that there was a significant differences between student’s achievement using cooperative model type teams games tournament with convensional model. The effect size score was 0,71 with medium category gave big influence by 26,11%.
