Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has committed and is ready to implement Industry 4.0 to build a globally competitive manufacturing industry. Polri participates in supporting Indonesia towards the 4.0 era. Through precision towards modern policing, it is hoped that all police officers must be able to make good use of digital technology and continuously improve their capabilities in its implementation. The International Communications Section or abbreviated as Bagkominter has the main task of organizing and developing an information exchange system in efforts to prevent and eradicate international/transnational crimes through the INTERPOL network (I-24/7), ASEANAPOL and other information facilities; as well as collecting information and data processing. Based on the explanation described above, the problem will arise "How to optimize the use of the I-24/7 Network System by the Kominter Unit to Overcome Transnational Crime in the Context of Realizing Modern Police in the 4.0 era?". From these main problems, the author also creates problems, including: "How do you optimize human resources, budget support, infrastructure and methods in using the I-24/7 network system by Bagkominter?" The approach used in this thesis is qualitative by using descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques using interviews. Data analysis techniques using data reduction. data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it can be explained that there is still a limited number of personnel and personnel competence, the operating budget for the I-24/7 network system is still inadequate, the facilities and infrastructure owned are still inadequate and the methods for dealing with transnational crimes are still not running optimally

Abstract

The Tanjung Priok Port in Indonesia faces challenges in traffic management and road safety. To address these issues, the Tanjung Priok Port Police Traffic Unit has implemented Road Safety Partnership Action (RSPA) activities. This study aims to determine the implementation of Road Safety Partnership Action (RSPA) activities carried out by the Tanjung Priok Port Police Traffic Unit in handling traffic problems in the Tanjung Priok Port area. The study incorporates various theories, including Rosen's cooperation theory, Terry's management theory (including planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising), Dr. E Mulyana's competency theory, and problem-solving theory. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was employed. The findings revealed suboptimal implementation of the RSPA activities by the Tanjung Priok Port Police Traffic Unit in addressing traffic and road transportation issues. Furthermore, the competence of the Satlantas Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok personnel in executing the RSPA activities was also deemed suboptimal. The active system and methodology employed in the RSPA activities have not been fully maximized. Therefore, optimization measures are required, including strengthening coordination and communication capabilities, empowering budget support and improving facilities and infrastructure in RSPA activities, enhancing the enforcement of traffic violations and management of traffic accidents, fostering personnel quality in executing the RSPA activities, implementing traffic engineering measures in anticipation of increased port activities related to transportation, encouraging community participation, and utilizing advancements in information technology, particularly in traffic engineering within the Tanjung Priok Port area.

Abstract

This research examines the application of the merit system in the first placement of officers graduating from the Police Academy in the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) and its impact on career development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyses the challenges faced by teenage officers placed in administrative positions and their effectiveness on motivation and job satisfaction. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teenage officers, National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) officials, and relevant stakeholders, and supported by documentation studies. The results showed that academic rank-based placements neglect practical abilities and leadership skills. Administrative placements are often perceived to hinder career progression and can lead to demotivation. The research recommends the need for a balance between academic assessment and practical competence in placement, as well as the implementation of more flexible and transparent policies to ensure sustainable career development. The research recommends several measures for HR development in National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), including an integrated rotation programme, the use of technology for performance assessment, and cross-field mentoring programmes. In addition, policies that support gender equality and diversity in deployment and strengthening the merit evaluation system are also needed for long-term effectiveness. Periodic evaluation and a holistic approach to human resource management are also needed.

Abstract

Illegal tin mining in Tembelok Sea, West Bangka, has caused massive environmental impacts, such as coral reef damage, a 30% decrease in fish catches, and triggered unrest and social conflicts in coastal communities. This exploratory qualitative research aims to analyze collaboration strategies between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the community in preventing such illegal activities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, then analyzed using the Law Enforcement Theory, Collaborative Policing, and Crime Prevention approaches. The research results show that joint patrols are an effective integrated strategy, integrating primary prevention approaches (socialization, “Alert Fishermen” training, drone/GIS technology), secondary (focused patrols, community reports), and tertiary (firm law enforcement, environmental rehabilitation). This collaboration is driven by inter-agency synergy (Polri, Indonesian Navy, Bakamla), active community participation, and open communication. However, challenges such as overlapping authorities, limited resources, intimidation of reporters, and lack of integrated data platforms still hinder its effectiveness. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended to establish a permanent task force, develop anonymous digital reporting applications, and launch alternative economic empowerment programs, such as seaweed cultivation. In conclusion, the Polri-community collaboration has the potential to create an inclusive and sustainable monitoring system to maintain the preservation of marine ecosystems and the socio-economic stability of the Tembelok coastal community.

When novice voters start an investment, other people's opinions are often taken into consideration when making decisions, which is known as herding behavior. And when choosing an investment, we need to learn about financial literacy to avoid fraudulent investments. A questionnaire was given to 77 respondents as part of the quantitative research methodology. There will be four tests used to evaluate the results: the validity test, reliability test, t test, and f test. The test's findings showed that financial knowledge and herding tendency both significantly influenced investing choices. According to the findings, financial knowledge and herding tendency significantly influence investment choices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of Generation Z leadership in supporting work-life balance implementation and its implications for enhancing professionalism in public service at the Sumbawa Barat Police Traffic Unit. The development of Generation Z leadership characteristics, which are characterised by open communication, collaboration, technological adaptation, and concern for members’ welfare, presents an interesting phenomenon to examine within police organisational environments that have high work demands and are oriented towards public service. This research also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors for Generation Z leadership in realising work-life balance to improve the quality of service to the community. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected from various literature sources, including scientific journals, books, and previous relevant research related to Generation Z leadership, work-life balance, professionalism, and public service. Data analysis involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions from findings related to the research focus. The results indicate that Generation Z leadership plays a strategic role in supporting work-life balance through digital technology adoption, open communication, a collaborative work culture, and member empowerment. Supporting factors for implementing work-life balance include the ability to utilise digital technology, transformational leadership, a collaborative work culture, organisational support, and flexible work management. Conversely, inhibiting factors include high public service demands, hierarchical work culture, work-related stress, blurred boundaries between work and personal life due to technological developments, and differing perceptions between organisational generations. Implementing work-life balance has shown positive effects on public service quality, member productivity, job satisfaction, organisational commitment, reduced work-related stress, and increased professionalism in the Sumbawa Barat Police Traffic Unit.
