Abstract

This research was conducted at the Museum Negeri Sumatera Utara, focusing on the critical issue of preserving ancient manuscripts, which hold significant influence on cultural heritage. The research problem is framed around two key questions: First, how does the Museum Negeri Sumatera Utara implement technical services for the preservation of its ancient manuscripts? Second, what are the challenges faced by the museum in carrying out the preservation of these valuable manuscripts?The purpose of this research is to elucidate the technical services employed in the preservation of ancient manuscripts at the Museum Negeri Sumatera Utara and to identify the various challenges encountered by the museum in this preservation process.The methodology adopted in this study is qualitative research. As explained by Sugiyono, qualitative research is a method used to investigate objects in their natural state, as opposed to the controlled environment of experimental research. The findings of this study underscore the importance of preserving ancient manuscripts, as the information they contain can provide valuable knowledge for future generations.

Abstract

Literasi informasi adalah seperangkat keterampilan dalam mengakses, memahami, menganaliss, mengevaluasi serta mengaplikasikan informasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan sesorang. Dalam hal ini yang diteliti adalah kemampuan literasi informasi Ibu Milenial di Desa Sei Semayam. Model literasi informasi yang digunakan pada penelitian in adalah Big 6, yaitu tahapan keterampilan terdiri dari enam tahap mulai dari merumuskan masalah hingga evaluasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu jenis penelitian yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan suatu keadaan atau fenomena yang sedang terjadi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan/verifikasi data. Hasil yang ditemukan adalah Ibu Milenial di Desa Sei Semayam memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang cukup baik terhadap informasi pola asuh anak. Adapun peran dari kemampuan literasi informasi yang relevan, memahami informasi sesuai kebutuhan anak, dan menghasilkan pola asuh yang dinamis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the library in fostering information literacy skills for blind children at the Mandailing Natal Special School (SLB). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The information in this study is the coconut of the Mandailing Natal SLB library. Techniques for collecting data in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the library in fostering information literacy must have a special room that is clean and comfortable, arranges the best possible sitting settings. Conduct programs on a schedule, work closely with teachers in using existing resources in the school library. The library at the school is very important, the books available at this time are sufficient, and can help meet the needs of students. Factors that become obstacles to the management of the Mandailing Natal Special School Library (SLB) in fostering information literacy for blind students are the lack of student motivation, human resources, and infrastructure.

Abstract

Considering the development of very sophisticated technology, there are many tasks for parents in implementing parenting patterns for children. One of the problems in the current digital era is children's use of gadgets which affects their growth and development. Parents need to monitor and guide children in their use of digital devices to ensure that this does not interfere with their overall development. Children's problems are not new problems, but digital developments (information and communication technology) are believed to have a big influence on children's problems, including children's behavior. The digital era has an impact on easy access to information for children, including their curiosity about current technology. Children's problems are identified in a generation that is familiar with technological developments in the form of gadgets. The use of gadgets by children has positive and negative consequences. So this article aims to examine the positive and negative impacts of integrating gadgets in parenting, as well as solutions for parental supervision of children. The research uses the library research method, which is an approach to collecting data by reading books, magazines, journals, quoting the opinions of various tafsir scholars and other sources of information available in the library. Researchers used qualitative methods to collect existing data until finally it was discovered that integrating gadgets had a lot of influence on the continuity of parenting. In this case, the parenting process must also balance its practice with world and religious concepts. The Al-Qur'an itself provides many instructions regarding parenting patterns in the family. Therefore, integrating gadgets in parenting without being guided by the Koran will cause harm to parents. Islam illustrates that whether good or bad really depends on the parents' efforts in educating their children. Integrating gadgets in parenting practices can help parents provide modern education, but it also has bad effects if they are implemented incorrectly, therefore it requires effective supervision of children in today's digital era.

Abstract

Research entitled "Evaluation of Collection Utilization Level at the Library of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia in North Sumatra." The main issue addressed in this thesis is the level of collection utilization at the Library of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia in North Sumatra. This study aims to evaluate the level of collection utilization at the library. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include surveys and documentation. Data processing uses descriptive quantitative analysis using frequency and percentage. The collected data are tested for validity and reliability using IBM SPSS v23 software. The results and discussion of this study show that the average perception score of library users is 81.85%, indicating a positive perception of collection utilization. However, efforts are needed from the library to improve or expand its collection, so that collection utilization can increase and gain better perception in the future.
