Abstract

Narkoba hari ini masih menjadi ancaman serius yang terus merusak generasi bangsa. Dewasa ini peredaran dan penyalahgunaan narkoba sangat pesat melonjak hingga masuk ke pelosok desa sehingga perlu ada persiapan pengetahuan yang disalurkan melalui komunikasi public tentang narkoba tersebut. Saat ini Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Gelap Narkotika (P4GN) sangat gencar dilakukan oleh lembaga pemerintah khususnya perguruan tinggi dalam mengaplikasikan tri dharma nya. Sosialisasi dan penyuluhan tentang bahaya narkoba perlu senantiasa digaungkan agar generasi muda menghindari bahkan memusuhi narkoba serta tidak berani coba-coba dalam menggunakannya. Fungsi dari kegiatan tersebut akan menyadarkan masyarakat lewat komunikasi public yang dilakukan untuk bersama-sama menghindari bahaya narkoba serta membantu menghentikan peredaran narkoba khususnya di lingkup desa, karenanya perlu ada gerakan pengabdian masyarakat dalam wujud informal untuk membantu terwujudnya hal itu semua. Adapun metode penyelenggaraan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi : ceramah, edukasi, pendampingan dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah : 1) Peserta sosialisasi bahaya narkoba semakin paham tentang bahaya narkoba, 2) Lewat upaya komunikasi publik yang baik, timbul kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjauhi narkoba, 3) Masyarakat bekerjasama untuk menghentikan peredaran narkoba di dalam desa

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce educational game tools to orphans and school dropouts to equip, develop skills, and add insight and get active, creative and fun learning for early childhood. The target for this service is orphans and school dropouts aged 3-6 years, totaling 33 children in Pidoli Dolok Village, Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. Implementation of community service activities using learning communication methods in the form of lectures, discussions, micro teaching and making educational game media tools. The presenter provides learning communication in the form of a lecture. Then, discussions were held with participants regarding the Calistung material through Game Tools. At the end, the children will be invited to learn using the Educational Game Tools that have been provided. The output obtained from this activity is that early childhood is assisted in understanding reading, writing and arithmetic material through early childhood games. The results of this activity can also find out who are early childhood children who are not yet capable of calistung and gain knowledge of calistung after participating in this activity.

Abstract

Lecturing in the era of digital society are learn whose era is full of technological sophistication. Students are required to follow the course of technological developments. Starting from looking for learning references to college assignments. This service activity is organized by the Technical Implementation Unit of Database Information Technology (UPT TIPD) STAIN Mandailing Natal by involving students from semester 1 to semester 7. This activity is packaged in the form of training (workshop) by presenting 2 experts in their respective fields. This activity is a community service activity in the form of assistance in the introduction of learning applications through Microsoft Office applications and Google Forms, the targets of this service are students who are still blind to the use of these two important applications. Even though the benefits of mastering the application are very helpful for them in completing their lecture assignments and even for their final assignments. This service uses a service learning (SL)-based learning model development method focusing on the introduction of learning applications in the form of Microsoft Word and the use of Google Forms.

Abstract

This research aims to understand public perceptions of environmental and sustainability issues in North Sumatra through a mass media perspective. The focus of this research is to analyze how the mass media depicts environmental and sustainability issues, as well as how public perceptions are formed through media exposure. A qualitative approach was used by interviewing respondents representing various levels of society in North Sumatra, while mass media content analysis was used to look at the representation of environmental and sustainability issues in the media. The research results show that mass media has a significant role in shaping public perceptions of environmental and sustainability issues in North Sumatra. Research finds that the mass media tends to provide limited coverage of environmental issues, focusing on controversial events or cases. This results in broader environmental problems, such as climate change, forest degradation and energy sustainability, not receiving enough attention in media coverage. The novelty obtained from this research is that sensationalism, consumer interests, limited resources, and the influence of personal interests are factors that can influence mass media reporting on environmental issues in North Sumatra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dan menganalisis peran komunikasi organisasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja pegawai di Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Motivasi kerja yang tinggi di kalangan pegawai adalah faktor kunci dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi dan pelayanan yang efektif kepada masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pegawai kantor tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai aspek komunikasi organisasi yang memengaruhi motivasi kerja, termasuk komunikasi internal, transparansi, keterlibatan pegawai, dan komunikasi pemimpin. Penelitian juga mengevaluasi efektivitas program komunikasi yang ada dan mengukur dampaknya terhadap tingkat motivasi kerja. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa komunikasi organisasi, termasuk transparansi, keterlibatan pegawai, dan peran pemimpin, memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada motivasi kerja di Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Organisasi ini dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja pegawainya dengan memperkuat komunikasi organisasi yang efektif, memberikan pelatihan kepemimpinan yang relevan, dan menciptakan budaya yang mendukung keterlibatan pegawai.
