Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perspektif guru terhadap kegiatan bermain peran sebagai strategi dalam menumbuhkan empati pada anak usia dini. Masalah empati yang belum berkembang optimal pada sebagian anak, seperti sikap egosentris dan kurangnya  kepekaan terhadap perasaan teman menjadi latar belakang pentingnya penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Bermain peran menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang diyakini efektif karena memberi ruang bagi anak untuk memahami perasaan, peran sosial, dan cara berinteraksi secara emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek dua orang guru kelas B dari TK Aulia dan TK Mawar Khatulistiwa yang berlokasi di Kota Pontianak. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam secara daring dan di analisis dengan pendekatan tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memandang bermain peran sebagai kegiatan yang efektif dalam menumbuhkan empati, karena anak dapat belajar mengekspresikan emosi, memahami situasi sosial dan menyelesaikan konflik secara damai. Guru juga memfasilitasi refleksi setelah bermain untuk memperkuat pemahaman anak terhadap nilai-nilai empati. Dengan demikian, bermain peran menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang relevan dalam mengembangkan karakter dan keterampilan sosial anak usia dini.

Abstract

Introduction & ObjectivesIntroduction: Prevalence of clinically significant astigmatism of more than 1D can be found in 20 to 50% population those undergo cataract surgery. During phacoemulsification surgery, astigmatism could be corrected by toric intraocular lens (IOL) or incisional technique such as limbal relaxing incision (LRI). LRI are safe and inexpensive procedures thus results in satisfying outcomes with surgeon’s precise phacoemulsification incision and accurate LRI arc position, which most appropriate treatment choice for surgeons in rural area that has problematic access towards IOL supply. Objectives: To compare refractive outcomes of LRI technique with incision depth of 500um and 600um using diamond knife corresponding with phacoemulsification cataract removal. Methods : Prospective cumulative interventional case study included 30 eyes of consecutive cataract corneal astigmatic patients power >1.0D those undergoing LRI and phacoemulsification. Length, numbers, and arc position of LRI were calculated on LRI Calc application to obtain best results in minimal astigmatism residual. Uncorrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and keratometric cylinder were also analysed before surgery, Day-1, Day-7, and 1-Month post-operation. Results : Day-1 follow-up keratometry shown that corneal astigmatism was still fluctuated, day-7 follow-up was even better with significant improvement in visual acuity. 1-Month post-operation has reached target correction. Moreover, visual acuity and residual astigmatism was better in 600um incision depth. Conclusion : When toric IOLs are not available or contraindicated, LRI could be a good option in correcting astigmatism with better refractive outcomes trend in 600um incision depth. LRI results better be evaluated in day-7 and 1-Month post-LRI, which may due to more stable corneal surface.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan perlunya pengembangan metode Kodálydalam stimulasi musik pada anak terkait kemudahan dalam pengamatan kemampuanmeniru gerakan pada anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasilpenelitian sebagai berikut: Pertama, pada umumnya posisi berdiri biasa (tangan disamping)sebagai simbol nada do lebih mudah dalam proses pengamatan dibandingkan denganposisi anak memegang jempol kaki. Kedua, gerakan setelah nada do dalam posisi berdiridengan kedua tangan berada disamping disesuaikan dengan kualitas jarak tangganadamayor. Ketiga, adanya kreasi posisi tubuh sebagai simbol nada.Kata kunci: anak usia dini, metode Kodály.

Abstract

Post-Post-retirement family welfare is something that everyone wants after the completion of their retirement period. This is because a person's income at this time is different from their productive age when they were still working. To be able to realize retirement welfare, long preparation is needed, since a person is still at a productive working age. The driving factors include financial planning in old age, asset ownership, and economic pressure. This will have a better impact if it is reinforced with good financial management knowledge by a person in managing their finances. In this study, the researcher used three independent variables, one dependent variable, and one moderating variable. The data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires were tabulated and then tested using SPSS. The purpose of this study was to determine the determination of financial planning in old age, asset ownership, and economic pressure on post-retirement family welfare moderated by financial literacy

Abstract

 This study analyses the implementation of Surabaya City Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2019 concerning Waste and Cleanliness Management using Edward III's policy implementation analysis framework. The descriptive qualitative research method was conducted over a period of 6 months (January-June 2024) in Surabaya City, with the research locations being the Surabaya City Environmental Agency Office, the Trenggilis Prapen 88 Waste Disposal Site, and the waste management operational areas. The snowball sampling technique yielded 8 informants. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews (45-90 minutes per informant). The research results indicate that the implementation of waste management policies has been carried out using the 3R system (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and organic waste processing technology using larvae, but there is a significant gap in terms of resources. Policy communication has been conducted through routine socialisation, but field officers' understanding of the regulations is still limited. Limited infrastructure is the main obstacle, as waste collection carts and supporting equipment are inadequate, and maintenance responsibilities are left to field officers. The implementer's disposition shows a positive commitment to public-private collaboration in managing the Benowo landfill and methane gas processing system. The bureaucratic structure functions effectively with a clear division of tasks from the RT/RW level up to the TPA.Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi Peraturan Daerah Kota Surabaya No. 1 Tahun 2019 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah dan Kebersihan menggunakan kerangka analisis implementasi kebijakan Edward III. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan (Januari-Juni 2024) di Kota Surabaya, dengan lokasi penelitian di Kantor Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Surabaya, TPS Trenggilis Prapen 88, dan wilayah operasional pengelolaan sampah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan pengelolaan sampah telah berjalan dengan sistem 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dan teknologi pengolahan sampah organik menggunakan larva, namun terdapat kesenjangan signifikan pada aspek sumber daya. Komunikasi kebijakan telah dilakukan melalui sosialisasi rutin namun masih terbatas pemahaman petugas lapangan terhadap regulasi. Keterbatasan sarana prasarana menjadi kendala utama, dimana gerobak pengangkut sampah dan peralatan penunjang tidak memadai serta tanggungjawab pemeliharaan diserahkan kepada petugas lapangan. Disposisi implementor menunjukkan komitmen positif dengan kolaborasi pemerintah-swasta dalam pengelolaan TPA Benowo dan sistem pengolahan gas metana. Struktur birokrasi berjalan efektif dengan pembagian tugas yang jelas dari level RT/RW hingga TPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman dan kebutuhan guru TK terhadap literasi budaya anak usia dini. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru terhadap literasi budaya berada pada ketegori tinggi, terutama dalam aspek konseptual dan urgensinya, namun terdapat kesenjangan antara pemahaman dan penerapan di kelas. Guru juga menghadapi kendala dalam kurangnya  pelatihan serta minimnya dukungan dari dinas pendidikan kebudayaan. Di sisi lain, mayoritas guru menunjukkan kebutuhan yang tinggi terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal yang menarik perhatian dan aplikatif, seperti pop-up book dan media digital berbasis budaya. Kesenjangan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan konseptual guru belum sepenuhnya terinternalisasi dalam praktik pembelajaran karena terbatasnya pelatihan kontekstual dan dukungan kelembagaan. Oleh karena itu, penguatan literasi budaya anak usia dini perlu diupayakan melalui pengembangan strategi, kebijakan, dan media yang berbasis nilai budaya lokal agar dapat menumbuhkan identitas budaya dan karakter anak sejak dini.

Abstract

Mastery motivation is an internal drive to master challenging tasks and achieve competence. In the context of early childhood teachers in Indonesia, studies on this topic remain limited. This research aims to explore the level of mastery motivation among kindergarten teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and identify the factors that influence it. A qualitative, exploratory approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis with 15 teachers representing the five districts in Yogyakarta. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify patterns of meaning and characteristics of mastery motivation. The findings reveal three levels of mastery motivation high, moderate, and low with most teachers falling within the moderate to high categories. Teachers with high motivation demonstrated strong learning orientation, persistence, and innovative behaviors in improving teaching practices. Meanwhile, moderate motivation tended to fluctuate, influenced by administrative burdens, limited time, and work demands. These findings highlight that mastery motivation is multidimensional and shaped by individual, social, and institutional factors. This study is expected to broaden understanding of professional motivation among early childhood teachers, provide empirical foundations for educational policies and sustainable teacher competency development programs, and open opportunities for further, more in-depth research

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) in early childhood is crucial for supporting children’s health, independence, and discipline. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the CHLB program on the independence and discipline of children aged 4–5 years. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed with a sample of 150 children from kindergartens in Banda Sakti District, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments were validated through content validity with reliability coefficients of 0.892 for independence and 0.948 for discipline. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The findings revealed significant differences in independence (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05; t = 5.832 > t-table 1.646) and discipline (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05; t = 8.591 > t-table 1.646) between schools that implemented CHLB for 10 years and 5 years. These results imply that CHLB programs can strengthen independence and discipline, and serve as a foundation for policy and early childhood education practices.

Abstract

Introduction: With the advance of ultra-widefield fundus imaging, its usefulness for fluorescein angiography study compared to the conventional (50°) for uveitis management is not fully studied. We aimed to compare ultra-widefield fluorescein angiography (UWFFA) and simulated conventional (50°) FA in terms of peripheral fundus findings and its correlation with clinical activity and therapeutic decision changes in uveitis cases. Methods: We performed a descriptive retrospective study in uveitis patients who underwent UWFFA (Optos P200DTx California) in March-May 2021. We compared the presence of peripheral abnormalities between UWFFA images and its simulated 50° FA. We correlated them with clinical uveitis activities and therapeutic decision changes by two uveitis experts. Results: We included 12 uveitis patients and found that 44.4% of peripheral vascular leakage, 83.3% of the peripheral lesion, and 100% of peripheral neovascularization in UWFFA were missed in simulated 50° FA. From 5 clinically inactive patients, 4 out of 5 were assessed as active uveitis on simulated 50° FA interpretation, and all the inactive patients were active uveitis based on UWFFA. 1 out of 12 had a diagnosis and therapeutic changes after UWFFA. Conclusions: We found more peripheral findings in UWFFA than in conventional ones. This discrepancy could alter clinical activity and therapy decisions, and long-term studies are needed to assess the clinical benefit.

Abstract

Kemampuan sains anak usia dini di PAUD Kasih Ibu Kota Sawahlunto masih rendah, ditandai dengan kurangnya keterampilan mengamati, mengekspresikan rasa ingin tahu, dan menceritakan hasil pengamatan. Pembelajaran sains yang dilaksanakan cenderung bersifat verbal dan kurang memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk “meningkatkan kemampuan sains anak usia dini melalui kegiatan pembuatan tempe di PAUD Kasih Ibu Kota Sawahlunto”.  Penelitian menggunakan desain “Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok B yang berjumlah 15 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, catatan anekdot, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi kemampuan sains anak yang dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator Permendikbud No. 137 Tahun 2014”. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menghitung persentase ketercapaian indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan sains anak dari kondisi awal hingga siklus II. Pada kondisi awal, 70% anak berada pada kategori belum berkembang. Pada siklus I, terjadi peningkatan menjadi 60% anak mulai berkembang dan 13% berkembang sesuai harapan. Pada siklus II, 80% anak berkembang sesuai harapan dan 20% berkembang sangat baik. Kegiatan pembuatan tempe memberikan pengalaman langsung yang memungkinkan anak mengamati, bertanya, dan memahami proses perubahan bahan secara konkret. Pembelajaran sains melalui kegiatan pembuatan tempe terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan sains anak usia dini, khususnya dalam kemampuan mengamati, mengekspresikan rasa ingin tahu, dan mengomunikasikan hasil pengamatan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman langsung dan pemanfaatan kegiatan kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai media pembelajaran sains di PAUD.
