Abstract

Trash  is  a  major problem in  Banjarbaru City thus far.    The  trash volume in  Banjarbaru approximately 120 tons per day on year 2017-2018 and that goes to landfill thereabouts 105 tons. Therefore,  it is important manage the household waste, so do on  community level through "Bank of  Trash"  as  an  efforts in  creating a  Pro  Climate  (PROKLlM) hometown. Household waste management success through Bank of Trash as one of the efforts of creating "Kampung Proklim" is influenced by the level of knowledge and skill of group manager, waste management technology that mastered, management of waste,  community support and the participation of other institutions.  The  General conditions of  the  Bank Trash  Benawa Raya Mandiri (BRM) is quite adequate, but merely collecting and  selling inorganic garbage from citizens around settlement of Benawa Raya Mandiri to the  Gatherer, on the other hand, organic waste is available in abundance in settlement area  of  Benawa Raya Mandiri, so it consider to be necessary to open such group counselling and training to transfer knowledge and technology to process the organic waste become compost.Keywords: Bank of Trash, Pro Climate Hometown , Compost

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan habitat mikro dari kayu kuku (Pericopsis mooniana) di KHDTK Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Manfaat dari penelitian ini sebagai bahan informasi habitat mikro kayu kuku yang akan berguna dalam pengembangan teknik silvikultur kayu kuku serta pembudidayaannya, khususnya di Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa habitat mikro kayu kuku yang terbentuk merupakan hasil keseluruhan dari reaksi kayu kuku terhadap kondisi lingkungannya yang terdiri dari faktor klimatis, faktor edafis, faktor biotis serta faktor fisiografis. Unsur-unsur dari salah satu faktor adalah sebab dan akibat dari unsur-unsur faktor yang lain. Habitat mikro kayu kuku yang terbentuk bisa pula dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal kayu kuku seperti genetiknya yang kurang berkualitas, atau bisa juga diakibatkan oleh kurang tepatnya perlakuan dalam perbenihan kayu kuku.

Abstract

Kecapi (Sandoricum koetjape Merr Burm. f.) has many benefits and uses of which fruit can be eaten, and the wood can be used for furniture. Therefore, the researchers conducted a study with the method of tissue culture (in vitro) because the kecapi wood has potential as an alternative wood. This research was conducted in a tissue culture laboratoryof UPT Food Crops and Horticulture Council, Guntung Manggis, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. The treatment of the observed growth response i.e. explant for 8 weeks and the organ is formed from explant. We used a descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the formation of roots perfectly, occurred on treatment using the hormone combination of IBA and BAP with a concentration of 0.5 ppm; Formation of shoots perfectly, occurs in treatment uses a combination of hormone IBA and BAP with a concentration of 4 ppm; The formation of the callus, occurred on treatment using the hormone combination of IBA and BAP with a concentration of 0.5 ppm. So it can be inferred that the research response to the growth of the harp (Sandoricum koetjape Merr Burm. f.) against granting ZPT IBA and BAP in in vitro experiment based on all of the observation data obtained after 8 weeks there are 12 eksplan that make up the plant organs namely organogenesis and 1 eksplan that form the kalus. Most of the seeds of the harp that obtain treatment 0.5 ppm, 1 ppm, 2 ppm and 4 ppm only managed to reach the phase changes color to green and the addition of size or swell. The amount of esksplan nth response is present on the combination treatment ZPT IBA and BAP of 2 ppm.Keywords: Kecapi; In Vitro; Growth Response

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the growth of teak plants in society humid tropicland at the age of 15 years (Ku II) and analyze the relationship between the growth of teak with the land bonita, physical and chemical properties of the soil. The results of the plant growth evaluation in society humid tropic at the age of 15 years (Ku II), identified in 3 land system i.e. LWW (Lawang uwang), TNJ (Tanjung), and PDH (pendreh) shows that the Tanjung (TNJ) land system provides the best growth results compared to LWW land system and the PDH. The best index of land bonita is on TNJ land systems which valued IV 1/2 at the age of 15 years with a height of 20,49 m, while the index of bonita land on PDH and LWW was 19.09 m high IV-19.21 m. The highly growth and bonita land index on land system TNJ supported by the chemical and physical properties of the soil tends to be better compared to PDH or LWW land system.Keywords: land system, bonita, society teak

Abstract

Teak (Tectona grandis Linn.f) is a commercial plant and is classified as luxurious wood with a high selling price. Teak is widely used for furniture industry. Teakin Kalimantan is an introduced plant grown in a new area with different site conditions. The purpose of this study was to identify the health of teak plants (Tectona grandis Linn. F) age ± 15. The method used is based on identification according to Alexander (1996). The results showed that the identification of teak plant health classified as moderate. Based on the highest damage location in the canopy section valued 28.68%, the highest damage type of open wound valued 22.43% and the highest damage severity 30-39% (3 rd category) with percentage 45.22 %.Keywords: Teak, Location Damage, Damage Type, Damage Severity

Abstract

The Contribution Revenue From The Agroforestry System of The Community: A Case Study In KHDTK Village Of West Mandiangin UNLAM Banjar South Kalimantan. This research was conducted by means of purposive sampling (specified in advance) and interviews (open ended interview) uses structured questions in the population who manage land by agroforestry. The number of respondents that was taken were 5 informants who manage land with agroforestry system. The results note that the most widely cultivated plants are rubber plantations, the yellow-fruit (langsat), durian and jackfruit (cempedak) with highest revenues amounted to Rp21.603 million from the agroforestry management for one year. While the lowest income amounted to Rp9.618 million. The crop harvested after 10 years. The highest contributes to 94% of net management effort cost, and the agroforestry Contribution to other   results as well as contribute to the income of the most agroforestri efforts outside high 77%. The results of this research is known that the type of plant that produces the most high revenue is rubber tree from the rubber resin (gatah) sale proceeds to resin, due to the type of plant that can be harvested every day, with the sale for one year weighted 1,455 kg with a selling price up to Rp6.600/kg and the least is durian plant which only produce 450 kg/harvest season with sale price is up to Rp10.000/kg.Keywords: contribution; revenue; community; agroforestry

Abstract

The Meratus Mountains have tremendeous of biodiversity that usefull as a medicinal plant. One of the medicinal plants is manggarsih. Manggarsih is often used by Dayak Meratus women as raw material for herbal medicine which is efficacious herbs to protect female sex organs. However, these plants have begun to decline in their habitat while harvesting only relies on their natural habitat. Therefore, it is important to do research on the dominant inter-vegetation association which aims to analyze the composition and structure of vegetation and any dominant types that have an association relationship with manggarsih so that later can be used as consideration for ex situ conservation. This study used a purposive sampling method for determining sample points, vegetation analysis using Important Value Indeks (IVI) and continued with the Ochiai Index to analyze plant associations. The results found that there were 36 types of vegetation in the community unit, 19 species of seedlings, 21 species of seedlings, 7 pillars and 6 species of trees. The manggarsih plant association with 5 dominant which has a very strong relationship occurs with the type of mahang for seedling and sapling levels while at the pole level and tree the strong association occurs with the type of rubber.Keyword: Analysis of vegetation, association, manggarsih

The aim of this research is to know the difference of roots physical form of A marina in inundated and non inundated Mangrove forest in order to maintain their life. The research is carried out by purposive sampling in order to get inundated and non inundated sites. Direct observation is done on the root physical form on both sites. Abstract

The study aims to analyse public perceptions of the Sultan Adams Tahura and the Lambung Mangkurat University Research Forest (KHDTK ULM) existence in the Karang Intan sub-district of Banjar Regency. The research site is located in East Mandiangin Village, Mandiangin West Village and Kiram village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency. The research using descriptive methods with the questionnaire and the modification formula Levis, 2013 applied to analyse data. The result of this study indicated that the tribes who live surrounds the Sultan Adam Tahura and KHDTK ULM are Banjar tribe who work as farmers. The perceptions of the Mandiangin Barat community to Tahura Sultan Adam, is getting the highest score with an average score of 8.4, following Mandiangin Timur with an average score of 8 and Kiram wich scored 7.8; while the highest perception score to KHDTK ULM was found in the Mandiangin Timur Village an average score of 11.6, followed by the Mandiangin Barat scored 10, and Kiram scored 9.2. Abstract

Agroforestry classification will help to analyze agroforest implementation in order to optimize benefits and function for society. Carbon sequestration potential in certain area can be predicted by measuring biomass in it. In this research, we measure the carbon stock in trees. This research aimed to evaluate supporting components in mixed garden Telaga Langsat Village; observe complexity of agroforestry; and estimate the carbon stock in tree stand. Methods applied by using plot samples represent agroforest types; record the species, benefits, stand age of all components in plot; measuring Tree base area and tree crown width in plot; then describe them horizontally and vertically. Carbon stock measurement approached by using non-destructive method, applying allometric equation. Agroforestry System evaluation and the planting pattern occupied by observing the entities of afforded commodity. The Result shows that supporting components in mixed garden Telaga Langsat Village are: woody components such as rubber and mahogany; annual crops such as eggplant, corn, string bean, chili, kangkung and chives; and the pastoral components are cows and goats. Agroforestri pattern that applied in Telaga Langsat Village are agrisilviculture and silvopastoral, and included in particular agroforestry practise. Total carbon stock estimation per unit land management is 0,511 kg/m2.Pengklasifikasian agroforestri dapat membantu analisis bentuk implementasi agroforestri untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi dan manfaatnya bagi masyarakat. Potensi serapan karbon suatu kawasan dapat diprediksi dengan mengukur besarnya biomassa yang terdapat di dalamnya. Potensi yang dihitung dalam penelitian ini adalah potensi tegakan berkayu saja. Tujuan penelitian adalah melakukan evaluasi komponen penyusun dalam kebun campuran di Desa Telaga Langsat; mengetahui kompleksitas bentuk agroforestri yang dilaksanakan, dan mengetahui cadangan karbon dari tegakan yang ada di lokasi penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah  dengan membuat beberapa plot pengamatan yang mewakili jenis agroforestri; mencatat nama jenis, fungsi, umur semua komponen dalam plot; mengukur Luas Bidang Dasar dan Lebar tajuk pohon dalam plot; kemudian memproyeksikannya secara horizontal dan vertikal. Penghitungan potensi karbon menggunakan metode non-destruktif, dengan persamaan alometrik. Evaluasi sistem agroforestri dan pola tanamnya dilakukan dengan mencatat banyaknya komoditas yang diusahakan. Hasil menunjukkan komponen penyusun dalam kebun campuran di Desa Telaga Langsat antara lain: komponen berkayu berupa karet dan mahoni; komponen pertanian berupa terong, jagung, kacang panjang, cabai, kangkung dan bawang prei; dan komponen satwa berupa sapi dan kambing. Pola agroforestri yang diterapkan adalah agrisilvikultur dan silvopastoral, termasuk dalam agroforestri sederhana. Estimasi cadangan karbon total pada lokasi penelitian per luasan lahan adalah sebesar 0,511 kg/m2.
