Abstract

Community participation is a crucial element in the development of human resources (HR) in a region. This study aims to: 1) Identify and analyze the level of community participation in HR development in Keder Lama Village, West Coastal District, Sarmi Regency; and 2) Identify and analyze methods to enhance community participation in improving HR capabilities in the area. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the Village Head and Community Leaders of Keder Lama Village, while secondary data were sourced from journals and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the level of economic participation of the Keder Lama Village community in HR development is very good, with active involvement in various activities or training related to enhancing HR capabilities. There are three main methods to improve HR capabilities in Keder Lama Village: tutoring, training, and the opening of job opportunities for the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, motivation, and organizational commitment on employee performance at the Village and Customary Community Empowerment Service of Papua Province. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The sample consists of 52 randomly selected employees. The results of multiple regression analysis show that leadership has a positive and significant impact on employee performance (p < 0.05), while motivation and organizational commitment do not show significant partial effects. However, all three variables simultaneously have a significant impact on employee performance. The implication of these findings is the importance of effective leadership management as well as the management of motivation and organizational commitment to improve employee performance in the public sector.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the influence of Human Resource (HR) Quality, Communication, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance at the Papua Province Maritime and Fisheries Service Office. The population in this research consists of all employees involved at the Papua Province Maritime and Fisheries Service Office. The number of respondents in this research is 93. Data collection was conducted through direct surveys using questionnaires, and Multiple Regression Analysis was used to test the hypotheses in this research. The research findings show that the quality of human resources, communication, and organizational commitment have a partial effect on employee performance. Furthermore, this study proves that simultaneously, the quality of human resources, communication, and organizational commitment have an impact on employee performance at the Office of Marine and Fisheries Department of Papua Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource development (HRD) strategies to improve employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Jayapura. A SWOT analysis approach was used to identify internal and external factors influencing the company’s HR management. The results indicate that PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Jayapura is positioned in Quadrant II (WO) of the SWOT Matrix, which suggests the need for a Turn Around strategy that leverages external opportunities to address internal weaknesses. The proposed strategies include digitalizing HR management, developing technology-based training programs, optimizing internal communication, and improving performance-based compensation policies. The findings are expected to contribute to formulating more effective HR management policies in the energy sector, particularly in PLN units facing geographical challenges and limited infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction, work motivation, work discipline, and work environment on the performance of employees at the Office of Class II Port Authority and Harbormaster Jayapura, both simultaneously and partially. The study also seeks to identify the variable that has the most dominant influence on employee performance. The sample in this study consisted of 66 employees, and the data analysis technique used was multiple regression, processed using SPSS version 23. The results indicate that the variables of job satisfaction, work motivation, work discipline, and work environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Partially, the variables of job satisfaction, work motivation, work discipline, and work environment also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Among these variables, job satisfaction is identified as the most dominant variable contributing to employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational culture on the performance of Generation Z employees, with work discipline as an intervening variable in the Vertical Unit of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury in Papua Province. This research employs an explanatory method with a quantitative approach to explain the causal relationships between variables and test the hypotheses. The research population consists of Generation Z employees aged 20 to 29 years, totaling 89 people, with the entire population serving as the sample. Data collection was conducted through an online questionnaire, and data analysis utilized Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that transformational leadership, organizational culture, and work discipline directly have a significant impact on the performance of Generation Z employees. Furthermore, work discipline serves as an intervening variable that mediates the influence of transformational leadership and organizational culture on the performance of Generation Z employees. These findings provide practical implications for organizational leaders in developing leadership approaches and organizational culture that are more responsive to the needs and characteristics of Generation Z.

Abstract

Pelatihan dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan keterampilan administrasi keuangan serta pembukuan bagi majelis dan koordinator unsur di Jemaat GKI Marthen Luther Kamkei Abepura. Kegiatan ini berfokus pada pemahaman dasar-dasar administrasi keuangan gereja, teknik pembukuan yang efektif, serta penerapan prinsip-prinsip akuntansi yang sesuai dengan standar keuangan gereja. Administrasi keuangan yang baik adalah fondasi penting bagi keberlanjutan dan transparansi pengelolaan keuangan gereja. Kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam administrasi keuangan dapat menyebabkan ketidakakuratan laporan keuangan dan potensi masalah dalam pengelolaan dana gereja. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan oleh majelis dan koordinator unsur dalam menjalankan tugas mereka. Pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan kombinasi antara teori dan praktik. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan dasar-dasar administrasi keuangan gereja, teknik pencatatan transaksi keuangan, penyusunan laporan keuangan, serta audit internal sederhana. Selain itu, peserta juga diberikan latihan kasus untuk memperkuat pemahaman mereka. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan hasil berupa peningkatan kemampuan majelis dan koordinator unsur dalam melakukan pembukuan dan administrasi keuangan yang akurat dan transparan. Peserta diharapkan mampu menyusun laporan keuangan yang sesuai dengan standar, melakukan audit internal, serta mengelola dana gereja dengan lebih efisien dan bertanggung jawab.Pelatihan administrasi keuangan dan pembukuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memperkuat kapasitas majelis dan koordinator unsur di Jemaat GKI Marthen Luther Kamkei Abepura. Dengan keterampilan yang diperoleh, diharapkan pengelolaan keuangan gereja dapat dilakukan dengan lebih baik, transparan, dan akuntabel, sehingga mendukung keberlanjutan program dan kegiatan gereja secara keseluruhan.
