Abstract

The research was conducted in July to August 2017 at Tanah Besih Estate PT. Socfindo. The method used Factorial Design with the treatment age of plant and tapping time. The results of this research show that the treatment effected to latex yield, latex volume, latex drops frequency, lump and scrub weight which are contained on W1 and tapping time was at 04.00 a.m.. Age of plant treatment effected to the latex yield, latex volume, latex drop frequency, lump weight and scrub weight, which are contained on the U1 at the age of 13 years old plants. Interactions treatment between tapping time and age of plant had no effect to the real production of Latex.

Abstract

Evaluation o f Soil properties In Some Soil and Water Concervation Techniques in Oil Palm Plantation. The purpose of this study to determine the most appropriate concervation tecniques used in oil palm plantations in the repair o fsoilproperties. This study was conductedfrom April 2013 to February 2014 in the Bangun Estate, PTPN III Simalungun district, North Sumatra Province. This study using a randomized block desing (RBD) no factorial with treatment factors, consisting of; VM: Vertical Mulch, CB: Compost Biopori, CD: Concave Disc, PG: Planting Grass. The results show (1) the treatment of concervation techniques concave disc with compost bioporifound significant effect on soil water content. The best treatment to the amount o f moisture contained in the compost treatment biopori. (2) In the treatment of concervation techniques for disk concave vertical mulcing, planting grass, compost treatment andplanting grass, bioporifound a real influence on the permeability of the soilprofil, which in the best treatment to the permeability of the soil profile contained in the treatment ofgrass planting. (3) The treatment technique implemented concervation in oil palm plantation did not significantly affect organic C, Total-N, C/N, Bilk Density, infiltration, levels of N, P, K in the leaves.

Abstract

The productivity of oil palm plants is influenced by genetic factor planting materials, soil, climate, cultivation and plant maintenance. Nursery is the first step to prepare the prime plant material. In the implementation of the nursery, fertilization is one important maintenance factor and should be done with reference to 4T (Exactly Types, Dosage, Time and Method). Loss of fertilizer is an important thing to be controlled. This research is a conservation action by packing fertilizer in sachet bag and conservation treatment. The research was conducted in January 2019 – July 2019 at STIPAP. The study used a non factorial randomized block design with S one sowing system, S two, S three, and S four sachet systems of different sizes using conservation. The best treatment is the application of gauze sachet system (S four = 638 mesh) with conservation increasing the growth of seedling height (91,36 cm), stem diameter (50,80 mm), increasing chlorophyll (55,62 cci), increasing root wet weight 99,73 (44%) and canopy dry weight 55,10 (44%).

Abstract

Fertilization in oil palm plants plays a very important role, more than 50% of the cost of the plant is used for fertilization. The hybrid oil palm currently being developed is generally very responsive to fertilization. Fertilization is a very important factor to increase the productivity and quality of the production produced. Fertilization is useful to provide nutrients needed by plants in order to carry out physiological processes that produce good growth and production. Fertilization costs are relatively high, approximately 30% of the total production costs or 40-60% of the total maintenance costs. The costs required to carry out fertilization activities are very large so that proper fertilization planning is needed to be effective and efficient. In productive plants can be done effectively 4T fertilization techniques, namely the right type, right dose, right on target, and on time. Based on this, observations were made on the study of fertilizer costs on plantations. This research was conducted in Division F of Sei Kalam Gardens, PT. Asam Jawa, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, North Sumatra Province. The time for the research to begin in March 2019 until May 2019.

Abstract

Oil palm is a plantation crop that has an important role in Indonesia today. This plant is a plant that produces vegetable oil and its derivative products. This study aims to determine the effect of solid decanter waste application on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq). This research was conducted in the research area of the Medan College of Agricultural Agribusiness (STIPAP) from January - July 2020. This study used a non factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of S0: Without decanter solid treatment, S1: 0,5 kg decanter solid, S2: 1,0 kg decanter solid, and S3: 1,5 kg decanter solid. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem girth, leaf chlorophyll content, shoot wet and dry weight, root wet and dry weight. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with analysis of variance (ANOVA) with further test of LSD 5%. The treatment of decanter solid application has a significant effect based on statistical tests on the vegetative growth of oil palm seedlings, namely on the height of the seeds and stem circumference with the value of F-count seed height > F-Table 0,5% at 8 MSA and F-Count on stem circumference > F- Table 0,1% at 16 MSA and 20 MSA, while the number of leaves, shoot wet and dry weight, root wet and dry weight and leaf chlorophyll content showed no significant effect, the best treatment was S3 with a dose of 1,5 kg/polybag.
