Abstract

This research aims to (1) to find out the application of Sapi Perah learningmedia to the grade IV SDN Samirono, (2) to find out the process of learning history ofHinduism and Buddhism through the use of Sapi Perah learning media, and (3) toreveal the improvement of the understanding and learning ability of grade IV studentsof Samirono Elementary School. The method used is classroom action researchinvolving two cycles. In the first cycle, the students were given a description of thehistory of Hinduism and Buddhism. Then, they were given a pre test on the materialthat has been taught and tried to apply the Sapi Perah learning media. However, theresults were not satisfying because they were not enthusiastic in learning. The secondcycle was conducted by applying the learning media of Sapi Perah again. In the secondcycle optimal results were obtained. The students’ learning outcomes of the history ofHinduism and Buddhism improved. The results of this research are (1) the applicationof a learning media Sapi Perah can improve the students’ understanding of the historyof Hinduism and Buddhism and (2) the learning process in the classroom becomesmore interesting because of the use of the media of Sapi Perah.

Abstract

Several studies stated the role of government is one of the keys that influence success in overcoming diversity in a plural society. Through the case study in Sudiroprajan village, this study aims to explain the success of overcoming the problem of diversity not only because of the role of the government, but through community involvement. Using a qualitative approach, the results of this study show that the Sudiroprajan community collective awareness is an effective way to overcome the problem of diversity that has the potential to cause conflict. Collective awareness is built through socio-economic similarity, historical experience, needs and acceptance, interaction and negotiation. The building of collective awareness in the Sudiroprajan community is able to produce diversity products in the form of the Grebeg Sudiro tradition. The Grebeg Sudiro tradition has become a symbol of the Sudiroprajan village diversity as well as a medium of diversity for people outside the village.

Abstract

Abstract

The Gili Trawangan in West Nusa Tenggara is now also known as Party Island because there is a variety of nightlife that tourists can enjoy. Reggae is a popular music and is often played amidst the hustle and bustle of tourists. This research seeks to understand how reggae music, which is synonymous with culture, religious movements, social activism and resistance, is mobilized to become a resource for producing musical scenes and performances as a form of participation in tourism development. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The main data was obtained through in-depth interviews with 3 reggae musicians, bar managers and tourists. The results of this research found that the beginnings of reggae music on Gili Trawangan were influenced by the figure of Bob Marley, the popularity of the song Welcome to My Paradise and the typical small island atmosphere that supported reggae's connection with its birthplace in the Caribbean islands, Jamaica. Apart from that, this research found that the growth of reggae music is very dependent on the meaning of the music, the creation of space for expression, the characteristics of tourists and adaptive strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of tourism policies in the development of Jerowaru Tourism Village, East Lombok, as a strategic initiative for rural empowerment and poverty alleviation in coastal areas. Using a qualitative case study method and grounded in Woolcock’s social capital theory, this research involved field observations, in-depth interviews with community stakeholders, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that policy implementation aligns with various national and regional regulations, including the Tourism Law, Regional Autonomy Law, and the 2021 NTB Governor Regulation. Three key dimensions support the tourism village policy: (1) coordination, communication, and disposition among stakeholders; (2) the active role of youth-driven tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in fostering community participation; and (3) grassroots initiatives that emphasize environmental sustainability and local identity. The tourism village has leveraged the 3A framework—Attractions, Amenities, and Accessibility—while empowering local actors to lead management and innovation. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating how social capital functions as a bridge between policy implementation and grassroots empowerment, enhancing both community capacity and local economic resilience. The research recommends stronger multi-stakeholder collaboration and targeted policy support to reinforce tourism-based village development models within broader social science and humanities discourse.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul Pendampingan Packaging Dan Digital Branding Produk UMKM Masyarakat Pesisir Desa Gili Gede Indah dilaksanakan di Desa Desa Gili Gede, Kecamatan Sekotong Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Gili Gede merupakan jajaran pulau kecil yang memiliki potensi hasil laut dan sebagai daerah tujuan wisatawan. Urgensi dari pengabdian ini adalah dengan melihat minimnya pengetahuan inovasi design produk UMKM yang menarik dan digitalisasi pemasaran. Selain itu, Gili Gede menjadi salah satu destinasi unggulan jajaran kawasan Gili di pesisir barat Lombok yang memiliki produk UMKM pangan berupa olahan hasil bahari dan produk non pangan. Produk UMKM pangan berupa abon ikan tongkol, keripik kerang, dan kerupuk gurita. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM adalah ketersediaan bahan baku yang sangat bergantung pada musim, packaging dan pemasaran. Maka dari kegiatan pengabdian ini perlu dilakukan mengingat peroduk unggulan UMKM Desa Gili Gede menjadi peluang usaha yang membantu ekonomi rumah tangga. Kegiatan akan dimulai dengan FGD (Focus Grup Discussion) untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan. Kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu pengenalan dan pelatihan aplikasi design untuk packaging. Kegiatan terakhir yaitu pelatihan digital branding produk UMKM.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of social transformation in educational settings by focusing on the role of teachers in fostering a bully-free school environment. The research seeks to identify the forms, causes, and handling strategies of bullying, as well as to understand the contributions of teachers in addressing such behaviors. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through classroom observations and in-depth interviews with teachers and students. Data analysis involved reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, supported by methodological and source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that bullying behaviors in schools manifest in both verbal and physical forms, including name-calling, unauthorized borrowing of belongings, insults involving family members, hitting, and other forms of physical contact. These actions are often rooted in family-related factors and are reinforced by media exposure, particularly through television and mobile phone content. Teachers play a pivotal role in managing bullying by implementing direct intervention strategies, facilitating moments of reflection such as ritual ablution, and providing platforms for dialogue and resolution. In severe cases, professional counseling services within the school are activated to support affected students. This research highlights the significance of teacher responsiveness and culturally adapted conflict resolution in transforming school climates. Its novelty lies in examining how character education programs can be practically integrated with anti-bullying strategies in the classroom. The study recommends further exploration involving schools with diverse backgrounds across Indonesia to broaden the understanding of bullying prevention efforts. These insights contribute to the advancement of social sciences and humanities, particularly in educational reform and the promotion of safe learning environments.

Abstract

Gili Gede merupakan salah satu wisata rekomendasi di pulau Lombok yang banyak dikunjungi oleh berbagai pengunjung baik mancanegara maupun domestik. Gili Gede mempunyai berbagai potensi yang dimiliki, namun disatu sisi pengembangan wisata dirasa belum optimal. Komunitas lokal dan stakeholder dalam hal ini memegang peran penting dalam pengembangan pariwisata di Gili Gede. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perand an kontribusi komunitas lokal dalam pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Melalui perspektif sosiologis dengan meminjam pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi, peneliti berusaha melihat sejauh mana peran komunitas lokal dalam pengembangan pariwisata di Desa Gili Gede. Meminjam konsep modal milik Bourdieu, ditemukan bahwa terdapat 3 modal yang berperan dalam pengembangan desa wisata; modal sosial, ekonomi dan budaya. Ketiga modal tersebut mempunyai peran penting dalam memberdayakan masyarakat khususnya komunitas lokal Gili Gede. Pemberdayaan masyarakat ini yang kemudian berhasil untuk mengembangkan desa wisata Gili Gede menjadi pariwisata unggulan. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari adanya kesadaran kolektif masyarakat dan didukung oleh beberapa pihak baik dari desa, stakeholder dan pemerintah setempat. Sinergitas diperlukan kepada seluruh pemangku kepentingan untuk menciptakan solusi inovatif dan adaptif dalam pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pendidikan pada hakekatnya merupakan suatu usaha untuk mempersiapkan sebuah generasi dalam upaya mewujudkan generasi muda yang mandiri. Namun tidak jarang pendidikan dalam ranah formal justru memberikan ketidaknyamanan melalui sistem kurikulum yang ditawarkan. Sistem pendidikan yang ada dinilai hanya sebatas menekankan pada pembentukan kognitif dibandingkan nilai lainnya. Dewasa ini, konsep pendidikan formal mulai mengacu pada pendidikan nonformal. Di mana konsep pendidikan nonformal dinilai lebih mempunyai peran signifikan dalam mengejar ketertinggalan yang ada dalam masyarakat dan cenderung lebih santai dalam proses pembelajarannya. Merujuk pada kajian sebelumnya yang membahas pendidikan melalui konsep kerakyatan Tan Malaka, pendidikan yang baik adalah pendidikan yang mampu menjangkau segenap lapisan masyarakat, berbasis kearifan lokal, mengedepankan keterampilan dan nilai-nilai moral keagamaan. Studi ini melihat bahwa konsep kerakyatan yang ditawarkan oleh Tan Malaka terbentuk melalui komunitas belajar pada masyarakat marginal di perkotaan khususnya anak jalanan. Melalui metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa komunitas sahabat anak, pendidikan tidak bersifat memaksa melainkan membebaskan peserta didik untuk mengembangkan apa yang menjadi minatnya. Melalui komunitas sahabat anak, pendidikan tidak hanya menjadi sarana untuk mereka menjadi mandiri namun juga menciptakan ruang baru dan membentuk solidaritas antar anak jalanan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh konsumsi budaya populer asing dan keterlibatan keluarga terhadap nasionalisme siswa sekolah menengah atas di Jawa Barat. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan, dengan data dikumpulkan dari 250 siswa melalui survei terstruktur yang menggunakan skala Likert 5 poin. Survei tersebut mengukur tiga variabel utama: konsumsi budaya populer asing, keterlibatan keluarga, dan nasionalisme. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS versi 25, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan keluarga secara signifikan memprediksi nasionalisme, sementara konsumsi budaya populer asing menunjukkan korelasi negatif yang lemah dengan nasionalisme. Studi ini menyarankan bahwa tingkat keterlibatan keluarga yang lebih tinggi dalam diskusi budaya dapat memperkuat perasaan nasionalisme, sementara paparan terhadap budaya asing tidak secara signifikan mengurangi kebanggaan nasional. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pengaruh keluarga dalam membentuk identitas nasional di kalangan pemuda, dengan implikasi bagi kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk mempromosikan nasionalisme di tengah globalisasi.
