Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program pengembangan layanan perpustakaan sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Bantul. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala perpustakaan, tenaga pengelola perpustakaan sekolah, dan relawan pustakawan muda. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah analisis data Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bentuk program pengembangan layanan perpustakaan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Bantul meliputi kegiatan layanan untuk difabel, narapidana, dan kegiatan di panti jompo;  (2) proses pelaksanaan kegiatan layanan perpustakaan terdiri atas: (a) layanan untuk difabel dengan mengundang siswa difabel dari luar sekolah untuk mengikuti kegiatan  story telling; (b) layanan bagi narapidana dilakukan dengan mengganti koleksi setiap dua bulan sekali; dan (c) layanan di panti jompo dilakukan dengan mengganti koleksi dalam jangka waktu dua bulan sekali dan memberi pendampingan bagi manula dalam memanfaatkan koleksi.

Abstract

A good education needs professional teachers. Professional teachers needs professional development programs. A professional development program that can be done by teachers is doing Classroom Action Research. Classroom action research is a practical research by teachers in class for  improving instructional  quality through planning, implementing, observing. and reflecting activities. All activities in classroom  action  research  will  improve  teacher  competencies. Successful implementation of classroom action research needs support and facilitation  from school staffs especially the principal.   Keywords:  Improve teachercmpetencies, classroom action research.

Abstract

Introduction. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of the vocational school library websites and to determine the factors that influence the websites’ quality. Data Collection Methods. This paper used a quantitative method with a population of vocational high school students in Yogyakarta. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 357 students from three schools. Data Analysis. WebQual Index (WQI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) data analysis approaches were used. Results and Discussion. This study discovered a WQI score of 0.87 on the library website of SMKN 1 Bantul, 0.85 on the library website of SMKN 1 Godean, and 0.81 on the library website of SMKN 2 Yogyakarta. According to user views, the quality of the library website of SMKN 1 Bantul is high. The result showed that users considered six factors, these were positive website experience, reliable information offered by the website, personal data security, personalization features, ease of communication with the website manager, and website manager information. Conclusion. In general, the quality of the Yogyakarta vocational high school library website is good in three areas: usability, information quality, and interaction service quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of developing learning tools to support a team-based digital learning environment (DLE) project in library management courses. The analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) development model is used in this study to investigate this type of research and development (R&D). The study included 162 students from four universities in Indonesia. Data is gathered through media and material validation questionnaires, learning management system (LMS) user satisfaction questionnaires, and lesson learning outcomes tests. Instruments include media and material validation sheets, LMS user satisfaction instruments, and lesson learning outcomes test instrument sheets. The media validation test and material results show that all media can be used with minor adjustments. Students have responded positively to the DLE application for online learning at universities. Learning tools are critical for raising motivation and accomplishing course learning outcomes. In the future, the evolution of learning media may be accompanied by the evolution of learning designs. As a result, the learning process and learning outcomes can be optimized. This study makes recommendations for revamping learning materials, media, and design to increase student motivation to learn.

Abstract

The rural library is one of the existing facilities in the village and has an integral role as a center for community empowerment activities. In the management of the village library, there are several problems faced, such as many people who do not know the rural library, lack of competence for library managers, non-standard library management, lack of public interest in reading, and low community participation in the rural library program. This service aims to promote social inclusion-based village library programs that can increase community participation and even improve welfare through programs provided to the community. The service was carried out at the Rural Library of Giripurwo Village, Girimulyo District, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The target group for community service is the entire rural community, including village officials and village library managers. The results of the service program are that the management of the rural library has become national standard and the programs owned by the village library also accommodate and increase community participation. So that community skills can increase and increase in social inclusion-based rural library programs.

Abstract

This study evaluates the management of school libraries in three vocational schools in Malinau—SMK Negeri 1, SMK Negeri 2, and SMK-SPP Negeri Malinau—based on the National Standards for Libraries in Senior High and Vocational Schools (Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan No. 12 Tahun 2017). Using an evaluation research design, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, library heads, teachers, and students. The findings indicate several challenges, including insufficient technology, outdated resources, limited space, and inadequate staff support, which hinder library effectiveness. To address these issues, improvements in technological infrastructure, space optimization, resource enhancement, and staff development are necessary. Strengthening school library management is expected to improve the learning environment, academic achievement, and information literacy among students. These findings provide valuable insights for school administrators and policymakers to align library management with national standards and enhance their role in supporting education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi minat baca siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Depok, implementasi manajemen perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa, serta kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan manajemen perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Minat baca siswa dipengaruhi oleh kunjungan ke perpustakaan, frekuensi peminjaman buku, serta preferensi terhadap jenis bacaan, dengan dukungan dari guru, orang tua, dan motivasi internal siswa; (2) Manajemen perpustakaan mencakup perencanaan tahunan, pembaruan struktur organisasi, pelayanan yang ramah, penyediaan fasilitas dan sarana pendukung, serta pelaksanaan program kerja yang terarah dan pengawasan melalui laporan dan supervisi; (3) Kendala utama dalam manajemen perpustakaan meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas, bahan pustaka, layanan perpustakaan, serta kurangnya pengawasan dari pihak sekolah.
