Abstract

There are a lot of criticism on the implementation of the learning outcome evaluation system in schools at the moment. The criticism is directed primarily to the substance and ambiguity between the idealism targeted in the perspective learning essence. This article tries to present an evaluation model to answer the criticisms. The writer tries to introduce portfolio assessment in detail. It is a collection of documents or options providing information of assessment. It contains the work of the students during a given time providing information on objective assessment which present of what can be done by the students in their learning experiences. The results are intended to be a measure of how well the task given to students in accordance with the curriculum learning objectives. Portfolio assessment is based on a collection or set of work set by the teacher to the students according to the learning objectives. Through portfolio assessment students can demonstrate differences ability to complete the tasks given by the teacher from time to time and or in comparison with other students' work. In portfolio assessment students are given more opportunities to assess themselves from time to time. There are three important elements in the portfolio assessment, namely: (1) storing, (2) sorting, and (3) dating of a task.

Abstract

Public service is all service activities undertaken by public service providers as addressing the needs of service recipients as well as the implementation of the provisions of the legislation. Public can also be interpreted as many people or too general. The principle of transparency means a unit of public services should be open, easy and accessible to all who need and provided adequately and easy to understand. The principle of accountability; Conditional; Participatory; Equal rights; Simplicity; Clarity; Certainty time; accuracy; Security; responsibility; Completeness means and Keprasaranaan; Then access; discipline, politeness and friendliness, as well as comfort. Service approach is Islam that is the approach teleology and deontology approach "approach of teleology that is contrary to the understanding that what is good and what is bad or what should be done by public officials based on the value of the benefit to be obtained or generated, that is good or bad views of konsekkuensi decisions or actions taken are comprehensively. Deontological approach is based on the moral principles that should ditegakkkan because of the truth that was in him and not associated with the effect or consequences of decisions or actions that have been done .. This approach is based on values and moral belandaskan binding. Emperis in the world, enter into the moral values of public service management is not an easy thing, because it deals with an attempt to make changes in the mindset of bureaucrats who have internalized as bureaucratic officials.

Abstract

Marine fish community is very sensitive to environmental changes. So the number of species, abundance, and biodiversity index can be used as a reference to assess the quality of the aquatic environment. The aim of this study was to describe fish biodiversity in Belitung Timur, Bangka Belitung Islands, Indonesia. Three islands were visited i.e. Pekandis Island, and Keran Island, Gosong Semut (Gosong refers to sandbar) for reef fish survey and for the economical fish study we also visited fisheries landing sites (i.e. Teluk Pering, Tanjung Batu Pulas, and Pantai Burung Mandi). The underwater visual census was used for in situ surveys of reef fish, and the fish species landed in fisheries landing site also been checked. Forty-two families of economical fish that had been landed by local fishermen were identified, and ten families of reef fish were found in reef systems of research location. A total of 10 families were recorded from three islands in Belitung Timur Regency. In addition, 42 families of commercial fish were also observed in fish landing sites from the coastline of Belitung Timur Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemandirian belajar siswa melalui teknik pembelajaran jigsaw. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa kelas XI Jurusan IPA SMU Negeri1 Depok, Yogyakarta. Langkah-langkah penelitian tindakan kelas mengacu pada model Kemmis dan McTaggart dimana setiap siklus tindakan meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian terdiridari lembar pengamatan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pengamatan terhadap partisipasi siswa, kuis, angket kemandirian belajar, angket sikap siswa dan wawancara. Penelitian ini terlaksana dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran geometri dengan menerapkan teknik jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, yaitu sebanyak 78.13% siswa tuntas belajar pada siklus 2 dengan adanya tindakan antara lain visualisasimateri dengan software CABRI, pemberian bimbingan atau petunjuk dalam mengaktifkan proses kognitif siswa untuk memahami materi,  memvisualisasikan konsep melalui gambar yang menarik menggunakan presentasi dengan software CABRI dan melibatkan siswa dalam penilaian kuis. Sebelum siklus 1, sebanyak 32.26% siswa mampunyai kemandirian belajar kualifikasi atas dan setelah siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 37.93% siswa. Peningkatan kemandirian belajar terlihat menonjol terutama dalam hal menumbuhkan motivasi belajar, merumuskan tujuan belajar dan mengevaluasi hasil belajarnya.Kata Kunci: Jigsaw, hasil belajar matematika, kemandirian belajarAbstract. The classroom action research has been done to improve performance and self-regulated learning through a jigsaw learning technique. The subject was 36 grade 11 students majoring in Natural Science; at a publichigh school namely SMU Negeri 1 Depok, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The classroom action research followed the model introduced by Kemmis and McTaggart, in which a cycle consist four steps: planning, action, observationand reflection. The instruments to collect the data were observation sheets of learning activity and students’ participation during learning, quizzes, questionnaire of self-regulated learning and attitude, as well as interviewsheet. There were two cycles of learning in the research. The result indicated that the geometry lesson implementing the jigsaw technique 78.13% students master the learning competence after the second cycle. Specifically, the actions were visualization to be learnt material using CABRI application, giving guidance or hint to activate students’ cognitive process while understanding material, using interactive pictures when presenting aconcept and involved students when marking the quizzes’ results. The percentage of students who had selfregulated learning on high level in the first and second cycles were 32.26% and 37.93% respectively. The improvement of self-regulated learning was mostly in self learning motivation, defining learning goals and selflearning evaluation.Keywords: jigsaw, mathematics learning performance, self-regulated learning

Abstract

Increased human activity towards the water bodies will change the condition of water quality. Case study in Langsa, Aceh, It was found that an increase in Some physical parameter (TSS) that exceeds the value determined in PP 82 of 2001 (Indonesian government standard). The high value of TSS in Station 2 and Station 3 indicates that the sediment loading to the water body is high, especially in Station 3, where the TSS concentrations far exceed the standard. Activity of type C surface mining materials tends to affect the brightness, turbidity, depth and TSS. Water conditions with low pH were also found in this study. Abstract

Abstrak: Telah dilakukan sebuah penelitian yang berjudul: “Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think-Pair-Share Dalam Perkuliahan Botani Tumbuhan Rendah (BTR) Pada Mahasiswa Prodi pendidikan biologi FKIP USM” Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa prodi pendidikan biologi FKIP USM Banda Aceh.. Mahasiswa yang dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 3, unuit-1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen sedangkan unit-2 sebagai kelompok kontrol, jumlah mahasiswa masing masing unit adalah 20 orang. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai tes, serta respon mahasiswa terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan menggunakan model pembelejaran think-pair-share. Analisis data prestasi belajar untuk melihat perbedaan prestasi antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, dianalisis dengan uji-t, dengan menggunakan prongram SPSS. Data respons mahasiswa dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Respons mahasiswa dikatakan positif jika jawaban mahasiswa terhadap pernyataan positif untuk setiap aspek yang direspon pada setiap komponen pembelajaran diperoleh persentase ≥ 80%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, di simpulkan bahwa: 1.Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan BTR. 2. Respon mahasiswa prodi pendidikan biologi FKIP USM saat perkuliahan BTR dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share adalah sangat positif. Abstract

Pendekatan Science Technology Society merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang menghubungkan antara pembelajaran sains dengan kemajuan teknologi dan perkembangan masyarakat yang ada di sekitar siswa, siswa dilatih untuk memadukan pemahamannya tentang dunia alam (sains) dengan dunia buatan manusia (teknologi) dan dunia sosial melalui pengalaman siswa sehari-hari.Dengan demikiandiharapkan terjadi peningkatan life skill siswa.penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Mengetahuiprestasi belajar dan aktifitas belajar siswadengan menerapkanpendekatan STS pada materi pokoklingkungan hidup di SMP se Aceh Besa, 2) Mengetahui tingkat kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan STSdalam rangka meningkatkan prestasi belajarsiswa, khususnya pada materi pokoklingkungan hidup, 3) Mengetahui tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap penerapan pendekatan STSpada pembelajaran materi pokoklingkungan hidup. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru sains dan siswa di SMP se Aceh Besar. Sampel diambil 10 SMP, masing-masing sekolah diambil 2 orang guru dan 10 orang siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data digunakan lembar observasi, angket, dan wawancara.Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan rumus persentase dan analisis kualitatif secara narasi. Hasil analisis data dan temuan-temuan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: Implementasi pendekatan STSdapat meningkatkan kualitas aktivitas siswa, dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa,dapat meningkatkan kualitas literasi sains dan teknologi siswa dengan baik. Serta meningkatnya respon siswa dan guru.

Abstract
