Abstract

Division of Management & Information Systems (MIS) is a division that has the responsibility to maintain and protect the information and communication technology (ICT) that existed at Tanjung Perak Branch PELINDO III in order to run properly. In dealing with any issues regarding IT tools, SMI division experienced difficulties in accepting the complaint information and perform assignments to address those problems. Obstacles that complicate operations division SMI may cause disruption of the company´s business processes. Of the problems IT Helpdesk information systems made ​​by observing work in priority handling to provide helpdesk solution. Priority of the problem is determined by adopting the method delbeq and supporting information to the management, the system provides information about the value of MTTR, MTBF, reliability and availability of IT devices. From the results of evaluation of the system is done, the system is able to provide reporting facilities issues, advising assignments, provides information on the issues, provide information MTTR, MTBF, availability and reliability. Abstract

Library is one of the information center , a source of knowledge and research . Library resources into place so that it can be enjoyed by many people . In a library has several processes performed one of the process is the process of returning books . In the book return process is happening right now in general are using barcode technology, barcode using the technique to facilitate the inventory record books that are in the library. At this time the library has a limited operating hours , with limited operating hours of the library can inhibit the process of returning books during the operating hours of the library was closed . to overcome these problems the need for application of automatic book return . By using the automatic book return the application process of the return of the book can be done without having to see the operating hours of the library . In the automatic book return applications can take advantage of the technological innovation that is image processing . One method of image processing is segmentation , segmentation using the technology of the book cover objects within an image can be distinguished anatara with each other .

Abstract

Abstract: admin constrained to manage a network traffic and limit bandwith usage and also block websites that are not allowed. Now, admin still used plug/unpulug way to manage the network on LABKOM STIKOM Surabaya. Based on problem occurred then needed an application which can provide information about activities that occurred on the local network to maintain network performance in LABKOM and also provide visual information about network traffic conditions in LABKOM and can facilitate a network administrator to restrict the use of bandwidth as well as the blocking of websites is not allowed during practical work takes place With SNMP, Data from the current network conditions can be collected and visualize the network traffic. And also requires an IPTables application to manage input and output  the gateway. Expected by the existence of Monitoring network traffic and system settings to the Routers Web-based PC can provide information and facilities needed by a system LABKOM administrator network that makes it easy to monitor and control the internet access on the network LABKOM and minimize in terms of financial expenditure is excessive as the replacement schedule for practical and cost of electricity due to the presence of interference on the network LABKOM at the time of the process of teaching.

Abstract

Gas Station  has  become important facilities  for today’s society especially in the big cities such as Surabaya, This is due to public demand for fuel increase from year to year. With that many demand of fuel make businessman think that the gas station business is promising. However in Surabaya there are quite a lot gas station so the competition is getting tougher. In order for gas station can gain a great benefit, businessman is required to consider the factor that can support the hustle of gas station. That factor such as good service, facilities provided by the gas station, strategic location, and etc.Among these factor the most important is the selection of  strategic location. To assist businessman in the selection of strategic location for the construction of gas station can be solved by the application of determining the location of new gas station in Surabaya. Determining the new location of new gas station in Surabaya using ELECTRE III as the method to get the recommended location that fits with the criteria of PT.Pertamina. The Results of this study are recommendations gas stations locations in the city of Surabaya based on ELECTRE III method. This system is expected to help making decisions and facilitate investor, businessman or related parties can obtain information to construct gas station in the area with potential and strategic that fulfill the criteria and based on the data obtained from various parties.

Abstract

Since 1997, CV Terbit Terang had stood manufacturing in the printing and publishing house. During the company operates, in determining the selling price of the company using by basic estimates. The estimates of selling price is fourth or fifth times from the estimated cost of production per unit. This can be happen because the company estimates the determination of the selling price to cover other costs that are not identified in the manufacture of a product. Based on determination of estimated selling price, it be affected the CV. Terbit Terang sales and make sales figures decreased for 40%  . This problem can be seen in the period 2008-2009The sales decline in the company can be overcome by application of selling price determination. The approach taken with the establishment of systems and applications to determine the selling price based on the total cost. Implementation of the method in this applications can give information desired profit. It will be obtained based on refund targets that have been invested from the calculation markup.Based on test , the applications is using data from CV. Terbit Terang, which made the system can determine the selling price to the total cost method. With the selling price is determined, then in subsequent periods CV. Terbit Terang obtain selling price based on the profits of the company targeted investment costs.

Abstract

Kihon is the fundamental knowledge which is important to learn Karate. Kihon consists of stances, punches, and kicks. In traditional learning environment, Karate teachers have difficulty in monitoring student position in learning Karate. This paper present an approach to overcome this problem by using Kinect sensor data to capture student position then compare the elevation degree of selected joint. As a result, we developed an application that could measuring body position compared to stored model position. By using skeleton stream which has vector data, we can estimate the angle between two vector and save it as reference for further assessment with user model. This application has accuracy rate of 83% for performing above mentioned task.

Abstract

The rapid development of network technology has created a multimedia application enters the world of internet. Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook and Line are some examples of applications that provides multimedia features such as free call (VoIP) and video call (video conference) in it. Most of these applications typically use UDP instead of TCP as the transport protocol. The increased of UDP traffic has threaten TCP traffic that appears issues of fairness between the two protocols.In 2006 the IETF introduced a new protocol called Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) CCID2 and CCID3. In fact its almost 8 years was introduced to the public, such applications are not using DCCP instead of UDP. So the question of performance, fairness and the Quality of Service level arises for multimedia data services between UDP and DCCP.Based on the results of testing against the Protocol UDP and DCCP, it is found that the average bandwidth utilization between UDP and CCID2 are respectively, 62.15% and 36.54%, the packet loss 1.12% and 10.08%, both of the delay 627 ms, both of the jitter 141 ms and both of the fairness 0.923. Furthermore, the average bandwidth utilization between UDP and CCID3 reaches 63% and 29.79%, the packet loss 0.5% and 0.92%, the delay 148ms and 283ms, the jitter 46ms and 79ms and both of the fairness 0.874. In summary, it can be concluded that the DCCP CCID2 has better performance and more suitable for VoIP/Video Conferencing instead of using the DCCP CCID3.

Abstract

DoS is one example of attacks that can disrupt the infrastructure of computer networks, this type of attack has a typical pattern, where in each attack will send a number of data packets continuously to attack the target. DoS Attack consists of UDP, PING and SYN Flood Attack. This study aims to get a mean, relative frequency, parameter values, the probability distribution, plot the data and the value of MSE. Subsequently analyzed using statistical methods, and modeling to estimate the parameters in the form of a probability distribution. The probability distribution is composed of a gamma distribution, lognormal distribution and weibull distribution. By using this model, it can be shown that the DoS Attack characteristic of UDP Attack and SYN Flood Attack are much closer to the lognormal distribution than Gamma the distribution or Weibull distribution. On the other hand, the distribution of the PING flood attack resembles the gamma distribution.

Abstract

Some of developing countries recently employ network applications that use sensor nodes, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for remote sensing. Most latest researchers, utilize methods with a network topology that has a fixed position. On the other hand, for remote monitoring network set up wireless networks typically use ad hoc and irregular distributed by its users. A study needed to create a network system with randomly generated positions. In this work we concern about wireless network that employ On Demand Routing Protocols, i.e. Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR). The result of the research shows that DSR has a better performance in term of delay and packet loss ratio compared to the AODV. On the other hand, AODV shows a better performance in term of bandwidth utilization.

Abstract

The development of an advanced technology has affected human living in the use of modern communication technology which based on data streaming. Streaming is a transmission technology of sending data, video or audio in real time or pre -recorded from the sender to the receiver. The usage of this technology is very diverse in various activities, so that the data streaming requires a rapid protocol performance in the delivery process. The final task generates comparative characteristics of TCP Vegas and UDP which based on the quality of data streaming services with the parameters of bandwidth utilization test, packet loss, latency, and jitter. The data streaming that has been used includes Voice over IP and video streaming. This comparison is performed using the network simulator 2.From the analysis that has been done, we get the value of the parameters that have been set. In general, it has been found that the percentage of bandwidth utilization on UDP protocol is larger than TCP Vegas. Then, the percentage of packet loss on TCP Vegas is higher than the UDP protocol. While, the value of a latency and jitter on TCP Vegas has a higher value than the UDP protocol.
