Abstract

This paper discusses the participation of educational institution, Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (CITE) in promoting and campaigning moderate and tolerance Islam in Adelaide, Australia. The article also attempts to close reading of the discourse of moderate Islam itself to answer fundamental questions about what moderate Islam is, what CITE attempts to do, can do, and cannot be expected to do. This study is essential to fill the gap in the dearth literature discussing the role of educational institution in campaigning moderate Islam in Australia. This study was based on observation and interviews conducted with main figures of CITE and the staff members or the supporters of the group who actively involved in their activities in Adelaide, Australia. The result of the study shows that as an educational institution, CITE has significant roles in promoting moderate Islam and straightening negative image of Islam in the West.

Abstract

Instructional Methods and Curriculum of Darus Sunnah as an International Hadith InstitutionThis paper delves into "Darus Sunnah as an International Hadith Institution.” This research was conducted to prove that Darus Sunnah is an Islamic boarding schoolexisting at the international level.This research also showed that the educational program of Darus Sunnah used four methods, namely: mudhākarah, halaqah fajriyyah, munazhzhamah, and istijmām.The learning method applied in Darus Sunnah wasstudent-centered, wherein students were required to discuss actively with the mudarris as facilitators. The methods used in this Islamic boarding school dailycomprised: bandongan, sorogan, tahfizh of hadith, tahfizh of Qur’an, and tahfizh of yellow books. The students of Darus Sunnah were also directed to conduct a community service program (PPM) as an ideal of PPM model. This research proved that Darus Sunnah is an international hadith institution. This is proven by the following facts: 1. Darus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School has got a branch in Malaysia since 2012, located in al-Sakinah Eco Resort Kampung Janda Baik, Negeri Pahang, Malaysia. 2. Darus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School has sent dā'i to foreign countries, such as America and Malaysia. 3. The sending of students to Egypt is one proof that Darus Sunnah is an international boarding school. The program to send students to Egypt is in collaboration with the Lido Pesantren 4. Darus Sunnah Islamic boarding school also frequently receives international students especially students who study around Darus Sunnah Islamic boarding school

Abstract

Perdamaian (Islāh) memiliki dimensi personal atau internal sekaligus dimensi sosial. Individu dihimbau untuk menegakkan perdamaian dengan dirinya, hasratnya, aspirasinya dan nuraninya. Ia juga dihimbau untuk melakukan perdamaian dengan apa yang ada di sekelilingnya, dimulai dengan anggota keluarganya, tetangganya, komunitas sosial dan negaranya. Kebutuhan akan keamanan, kedamaian, dan ketentraman adalah kebutuhan manusia yang asasi, oleh karena itu pengupayaan kepada nilai tersebut merupakan kebajikan yang sangat dimuliakan. Maka dalam hal ini, agama berfungsi mendukung proses rekonsiliasi atau perdamaian dan memupuk kesatuan manusia dimana saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penafsiran Sayyid Quthb terhadap ayat-ayat Islāh dalam tafsir Fī Zhilāl Alquran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian analisis deskriptif . Metode ini dilaksankan dengan menggunakan teknik Content Analisys (analisis isi) yaitu dengan cara menganalisis makna yang termuat dalam berbagai sumber baik primer maupun sekunder.  Hasil penilitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Islāh menurut Sayyid Quthb dalam tafsir Fī Zhilāl Alquran adalah dapat mewujudkan kalimatullah sebagai kenyataan di muka bumi, antara lain; keadilan, kemerdekaan, dan keamanan bagi seluruh umat manusia baik individu ataupun masyarakat. Bukan hanya sekedar untuk mencegah terjadinya peperangan dengan segala resikonya, tetapi mencegah kelaliman serta kerusakan di muka bumi. Karena itu, Islam memulai upaya perdamaian atau perbaikan (Islāh)  pertama-tama ada di dalam perasaan setiap individu, kemudian meluas ke seluruh anggota keluarga lalu ke masyarakat.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low quality of lecturers at the Private Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKIS). The low quality of the lecturers, among others, can be seen from the accreditation of study programs and accreditation of institutions within the PTKIS scope, the low results of research and community service, the low functional positions of lecturers, etc. The general objective of this research is how to improve the management of the quality of private Islamic higher education lecturers, especially Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Persis Bandung. This study uses a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods. The data source of this research was obtained based on the results of interviews, observation, and documentation study. The results showed that the improvement of the quality of lecturers at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Persis Bandung has been implemented but has not yet had an optimal impact. This can be seen from the low impact of the lecturer quality improvement program, both from education, research, and community service. Public. Improving the quality of lecturers is still constrained by internal and external constraints. Internal constraints are the low level of understanding, skills, and motivation to improve the lecturers themselves because the lecturer paradigm has not changed as an educator whose main task is only as a teacher. Internal constraints are also indicated by the low academic functional position of Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Persis Bandung lecturers and the lack of leadership supervision to improve the quality of lecturers. Meanwhile, external obstacles include the lack of information on improving the quality of lecturers obtained from the Ministry of Religion and other parties and the lack of optimal training of lecturers from Kopertais.

Abstract

Children's discipline to perform the five daily prayers is often ignored by parents as the first educators at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine parenting patterns in applying the discipline of five daily prayers to children during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation data analysis. Research result; 1) invite children to pray as early as possible, 2) remind children at prayer times, 3) provide an understanding of the law of prayer. Appreciation is given by parents if the child prays on time. Warnings and guidance are applied if the child finds it difficult to pray on time. In addition to coaching and guidance, the application of the five prayers discipline also utilizes image media and visual audio. Manage playtime, study time, sleep time and prayer time

Abstract

In the era of society 5.0, people are treated to technology that allows accessing virtual space that feels like physical space in the form of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology based on big data and robots that support and facilitate human work. If in the industrial revolution 4.0 it was more of an emphasis on business, but in the era of society 5.0, values were born that eliminate social inequality and provide more services and products for the various needs of many people. Educational management has problems covering all problems that are related or related to professional educators, students, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure, and the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the quality of the traditions about luqathah and describe what is meant by luqathah. This research is a type of qualitative research that applies to both primary and secondary literature studies and uses the pentahrijan hadith method to determine the path of transmission and the quality of the hadith. The results and discussion of this study include an overview of luqathah, traditions about luqathah, and the quality of hadiths about luqathah. This study concludes that to determine the quality of hadith by mentakhrij hadith and i'tibar hadith to obtain information about the quality of hadith from the hadith literature, so that we can find out where the origin of the book of a hadith is, as well as the person who narrated it, so that it can clarify the condition of the chain. If the sanad and matan are combined, the overall quality of the hadiths about luqathah is authentic. This research recommends to do further on the quality of hadith about luqathah through field studies with an analytical approach to the study of sanad and matan hadith. This researcher is expected to have benefits for enriching the treasures of Islamic knowledge

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. about the content of miswak for oral health. This research method is qualitative through the takhrij and sharah hadith approaches with chemical analysis. The results and discussion of this study is proven that siwak has a very beneficial content for oral health. This research concludes that the use of siwak has been recommended by the Prophet Muhammad. based on takhrij and syarah hadith. This study recommends developing the benefits of miswak for oral health through chemistry.
