Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to study the growth and yield of onion (Allium ascalonicum) on the giving of bokashi kalakai on peat land. This study used Randomized Compete Design (RCD) of single factor that was bokashi kalakai consisting of 6 levels of treatment namely P0 (0 ton ha-1), P1 (3 ton ha-1), P2 (6 ton ha-1), P3 (9 ton ha-1), P4 (12 ton ha-1) and P5 (15 ton ha-1). The results showed that the administration of bokashi kalakia at dose 15 ton ha-1 was the best treatment on all parameter observed including the palant height, the leves number, the leaves area, the number of tillers, the number of bulbs, fresh weight of plants, dry and heavy dry bulbs. However, at a dose treatment of 15 ton ha-1 did not indicate any differences when compared to those at a dose of 12 ton ha-1

Abstract

This research aims to improve the effect concentration of citric acid and Na CMC as a preservative appropriate on the quality of chemical and organoleptic characteristic of melon juice. The factorial completely randomized block design with four replications was applied on this research. First factor was concentration of citric acid (0,1; 0,2; dan 0,3 % b.v-1). Second factor is concentration Na CMC (0,25; 0,35; dan 0,45 % b.v-1). The results showed that the interaction betwen citric acid and Na CMC concentration was not significantly effect to total acid, reduction of glucose, ascorbat acid, and the elarity of organoleptic test and taste, while the separate of water percentage significant effect between treatments. The best treatment for producing of melon juice was citric acid and Na CMC with a concentration of 0, 2 % b.v-1 and 0,45 % b.v-1. It is recommended also for further research conducted on the effects of temperature and pH on the stability of Na CMC as a stabilizer of fruit puree or juice drinks melon

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh pupuk fosfor dan konsentrasi gandasil B terhadap hasil melon ( Cucumis melo, L) di tanah gambut. Penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan faktorial 3 x 3 faktor yang digunakan dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Waktu penelitian dimulai pada bulan Mei hingga September 2012 di jalan Turi, desa Panarung, kota Palangka Raya. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk fosfor dari 100; 200; dan 300 kg ha-1 Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi gandasil B dari 1,5; 3.0; dan 4,5 g l-1 udara, dan direplikasi empat kali.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi antara pemberian pupuk fosfor dan konsentrasi gandasila B signifikan dan signifikan terhadap total set buah, buah berat, dan diameter buah, namun tidak signifikan untuk tanaman umur mulai mekar, dan waktu panen. Buah dan buah dengan konsentrasi 200 kg ha-1, dan konsentrasi 1. 5 g l-1 udara mampu menghasilkan rata-rata total bunga menjadi buah 6.69 buah, berat buah 1.955,39 g dan diameter buah sepanjang 16,39 cm. Faktor tunggal pupuk fosfor penting untuk tanaman mulai mekar. Faktor konsentrasi tunggal adalah signifikan untuk total set buah dan usia panen. Kehadiran 1,5 g l-1 air konsentrasi mampu menghasilkan rata-rata umur panen sesingkat 63,78 dap
