Abstract

Kalikesur Village, located in the Kedungbanteng District of Banyumas Regency, possesses significant prospects in agriculture and animal husbandry. Typically, the villagers continue to rely on forage fodder, such as grass and agricultural waste, to feed their poultry and cattle. Hence, the objective of our community activity is to acquaint the inhabitants of Kalikesur Village with the Azolla plant as a substitute feed and as a material for bio-organic fertilizer. We also want to teach cultivating methods so that an Azolla business group can be established. Getting to know one another, sharing insights on the value and advantages of Azolla for animal feed and bio-organic fertilizers, constructing basic bio-flocks (ponds), learning how to cultivate and harvest Azolla, creating fertilizer with Azolla as a base, and initiating new Azolla marketing campaigns on social media were some of the activities that took place. One of the program's many results is the technology transfer for growing Azolla, which may be used as a bio-organic fertilizer and a nutritional feed alternative. Additionally, it creates instructions for growing Azolla and using it as bio-organic fertilizer and animal feed. Additionally, the program provides manuals on the business analysis of Azolla. It contributes to the increase in livestock production, thereby enhancing the income and welfare of community service partners and the surrounding region.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar sering menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa dan kurang optimalnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Salah satu alternatif solusi adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery yang dipadukan dengan media PhET Arithmetic untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery berbantuan PhET Arithmetic terhadap aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 172 siswa kelas IV yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing 86 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan tes pemahaman konsep. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, dan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery berbantuan PhET Arithmetic berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aktivitas belajar dengan peningkatan rata-rata 15,105 dan perbedaan posttest sebesar 9,198 (Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05). Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan peningkatan rata-rata 53,477 dan perbedaan posttest sebesar 28,965 (Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05). Secara simultan, hasil uji MANOVA juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan (Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Guided Discovery berbantuan PhET Arithmetic efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in building the value of unity and social character in SMPN 9 Surabaya students. This project is designed to introduce and internalize the values of Pancasila, which include cooperation and unity towards diversity, among students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) has succeeded in strengthening students' social character, improving their ability to work together in groups, and strengthening social bonds between students. Activities such as making processed foods, beverages, and eco-print batik provide opportunities for students to develop practical skills while enhancing a sense of unity and sociality. Data obtained from observations and interviews revealed that students felt closer to their peers and were more able to cooperate after participating in this activity. However, challenges such as limited time and resources are still an obstacle in the implementation of this project. Therefore, it is recommended to improve training for teachers, involve parents and the community, and conduct periodic evaluations of the implementation of the program to ensure its effectiveness. Further research is needed to explore solutions to existing challenges.
