Abstract

Abstract

The current handling of waste, especially styrofoam, plastic, used oil is not optimal, these wastes can be used to manufacture other products such as bricks with a simple process. If the waste is processed properly, it will get good economic value. To get a good value or product, it is necessary to do research or testing, as in this study, namely the use of styrofoam waste, plastic and used oil to be used as bricks. In this study, it is hoped that the public will understand and understand the quality of the types of composite bricks and ordinary types of bricks seen from their advantages and disadvantages. Styrofoam waste, plastic and used oil are mixed into bricks with a volume of 21.27%. The equipment used in this research are chopper, stirrer, digital balance and compression test machine. In this study, the results of the III (composite) molded bricks decreased the compressive strength of 59% compared to mortar and cement bricks. The results of the compressive strength test in mold III (composite) were 47.76% higher than that in mold II on composite brick. Composite III bricks are classified as quality III, namely with solid type bricks that cannot get a large load.

Abstract

A series of processes are carried out in order to obtain the desired product result. One of the processes carried out is testing the strength of polymers by means of tensile testing in this case testing of polymer-based sealants. The method used is the method of simulating frame loading on the tensile testing machine that has been made. The software used to assist the simulation process is SolidWorks. The simulation is carried out in static mode or a fixed loading (no movement or vibration). A stress Analysis Simulation is carried out to get the result of static loading in the form of σ (stress). Loading simulations on the frame of the tensile testing machine for the tensile testing of the sealant are carried out on the components of the frame with different loading variations. Frame components with upward loading are given an average load of 38.5 MPa. Meanwhile, the frame components with downward loading are given an average load of 6.169 MPa. The largest average stress obtained from each component is 0.326 N/mm2. this value does not exceed the yield strength of 235 N/mm2.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to improve the sustainability of business actors who are members of the Banyumas Raya Business Actors (PUBR) community. The situation analysis of the condition of PUBR as a service partner is experiencing problems in financial management and marketing which have an impact on the instability of income generation. Therefore, the Community Service Team coordinated with PUBR administrators until a solution was agreed upon through the implementation of program socialization, training, and the provision of appropriate technological tools. The community service program has been running effectively since August, the Community Service Team conducted socialization and training related to financial management materials, with the aim that participants understand the importance of good and professional financial management in doing business. Furthermore, in September, the Community Service Team conducted socialization and training related to digital marketing, with the aim that participants understand the importance of marketing with a modern approach through the TikTok application. The financial management training succeeded in improving participants' understanding of financial management. Likewise, the digital marketing training succeeded in improving participants' understanding of the TikTok application. Supported by the assistance of the technological tools provided, PUBR is now more active and enthusiastic in running its business. Thus, the problem-solving method used by the Community Service Team has been effective.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve financial transaction recording at the Dekade Maju Village-Owned Enterprise (BUM Desa) located in Karangsalam, Baturraden. This activity was motivated by the need of the village government and BUM Desa administrators for clearer financial data from the implementation of activities involving culinary business actors in Karangsalam, Baturraden. Coordination between the Community Service Team and BUM Desa Partners resulted in an agreement to solve the problem by providing appropriate tools and technology, including accounting software and adequate hardware for office operations. The tools and technology assistance were handed over to the Partners on July 25, 2025. Subsequently, the Community Service Team provided training and mentoring to the Partners on how to operate the provided tools. The Partners are now able to operate the existing equipment and maintain digital financial records. The community service program has proven to be effective and beneficial for the Partners in improving their financial records. Financial recording at BUM Desa Dekade Maju is now digital, making the resulting financial data easier to understand.

Abstract

The Rail-Road Loader KGT/V is a multifunctional heavy equipment used for railway track maintenance and repair, with a pneumatic system playing a vital role in braking and stabilization mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the failure of pneumatic system components in the Rail-Road Loader KGT/V unit, primarily caused by air moisture and condensation, and to formulate solutions for improving system reliability. The research applies several methods, including downtime analysis, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Results indicate that high humidity at the operational sites triggers failures in key components such as seals, valves, and pressure sensors, leading to increased equipment downtime. The installation of an air dryer is identified as the most effective technical solution to mitigate condensation issues. According to the TOPSIS analysis, implementing an air dryer ranks highest among proposed alternatives. This study recommends installing air dryers and developing a systematic maintenance procedure to enhance the reliability of the pneumatic system and ensure safer operational performance of the Rail-Road Loader KGT/V.

Abstract

The mining industry plays a substantial role in driving the increase of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Indonesia, particularly through deforestation and the intensive use of fossil fuels. Consequently, evaluating GHG emissions from mining companies is essential for determining appropriate mitigation strategies. This study aims to assess the greenhouse gas emission profile within the coal mining service operations of PT Antareja Mahada Makmur. The assessment provides important insights into the environmental footprint of coal mining activities, which serve as a basis for guiding sustainable operational practices and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The findings indicate a notable escalation in total emissions from both mobile sources over the period from January 2025 to December 2025. Carbon dioxide (CO?) was identified as the predominant greenhouse gas emitted, especially from mobile equipment operations. These results underscore the urgency of implementing targeted mitigation measures, including enhancing energy efficiency and integrating renewable energy alternatives, to reduce the sector’s overall emission levels. Furthermore, this research offers valuable contributions in identifying emission-related challenges and proposing improvements that support corporate efforts toward achieving GHG reduction targets.
