Abstract

This study compares portfolio optimization performance between sharia-compliant stocks (FBM Hijrah Shariah Index) and conventional stocks (FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI) using the Markowitz Mean Variance Optimization (MVO) model and Genetic Algorithm (GA), evaluated through CV, Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio, and Omega ratio over the period 2022–2025. Results show that the sharia portfolio consistently outperforms conventional across all metrics and both methods, with a Sharpe ratio of 0.1589 compared to 0.0709, demonstrating that sharia screening enhances rather than hinders portfolio efficiency. GA produces marginally higher Sharpe ratios than Markowitz, indicating both methods are complementary. These findings offer practical implications for investors, fund managers, and policymakers in developing competitive sharia investment instruments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Equity (ROE), Current Ratio (CR), and Sales Growth on firm value with dividend policy as an intervening variable in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2025 period. Firm value is proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), while dividend policy is measured using the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using path analysis. The results show that Return on Equity (ROE) has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while Current Ratio (CR) and Sales Growth do not have a significant effect on firm value. Return on Equity (ROE) and Current Ratio (CR) positively affect dividend policy, whereas Sales Growth does not affect dividend policy. Dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Furthermore, dividend policy is able to mediate the effect of Return on Equity (ROE) and Current Ratio (CR) on firm value, but it is unable to mediate the effect of Sales Growth on firm value. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of financial management literature and practically to assist company management and investors in making decisions related to profitability, liquidity, sales growth, dividend policy, and firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, financial behavior (Fear of Missing Out/FoMO), and influencers on investment decision-making among members of the Investment Gallery – Capital Market Study Group in Semarang City. The research employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, involving 155 respondents consisting of members, administrators, and interns of investment galleries who already possess a Single Investor Identification (SID). Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 25. The results reveal that all three independent variables—financial literacy, financial behavior (FoMO), and social media influencers—have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. Among these variables, financial literacy has the most dominant influence with a coefficient value of 0.706, followed by financial behavior (FoMO) with 0.194, and influencers with 0.134. Collectively, these variables explain 48.1% of the variation in investment decision-making. The findings indicate that a strong understanding of financial concepts, psychological motivation to avoid missing out, and digital social influence from credible influencers are key factors shaping rational investment decisions among young investors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the amount of credit disbursed (Loan Disbursement) based on economic sectors, non-performing loans (NPL), current accounts - savings accounts (CASA) on the profitability of national banks and foreign banks operating in Indonesia. The approach used is descriptive quantitative research. The data sources used in this study come from financial reports and annual reports in the banking sector. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 statistical software by looking at descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study prove that only credit disbursement in the service and business sectors has a positive and significant effect on ROA, while credit disbursement in the construction, trade, and agriculture sectors has a positive but insignificant effect, and credit disbursement in the mining sector has a negative and insignificant effect. NPL has a negative but insignificant effect on ROA, while CASA has a positive and significant effect on ROA. This study confirms that bank profitability is not only determined by the volume of credit disbursement and asset quality, but is also greatly influenced by the efficiency of the funding structure as reflected in the large proportion of CASA funds. Therefore, a banking strategy focused on quality credit growth in productive sectors, consistent NPL control, and increasing the proportion of CASA funds are key factors in strengthening banking financial performance in the long term.
