Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parameter uji fisik (suhu dan pH) dengan parameter uji kimiawi (total volatile base dan angka peroksida) terhadap tingkat kesegaran ikan ekor kuning (Cassio cuning) pada pedagang keliling di kota makassar. Data hasil pengukuran terhadap suhu, pH, TVB, dan angka peroksida dianalisis menggunakan Anova selanjutnya hasil analisis yang signifikan diuji lanjut menggunakan uji LSD untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar titik penjualan. Hubungan antar parameter yang diukur selanjutnya dianalisa menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Nilai hubungan suhu dan pH ikan ekor kuning yaitu pada suhu 18,83°C nilai pH 6,64 (TPI Paotere), suhu 17,54°C nilai pH 6,60 (titik penjualan kedua) dan suhu 24,96°C nilai pH 6,61 ((titik penjualan ketiga). Nilai hubungan suhu dan TVB pada ikan ekor kuning yaitu pada suhu 18,83°C kadar TVB 13,12 mgN/100g (TPI Paotere), suhu 17,54°C kadar TVB 17,12 mgN/100g (titik penjualan kedua), dan suhu 24,96°C kadar TVB 19,93 mgN/100g (titik penjualan ketiga). Nilai hubungan suhu dengan angka peroksida pada ikan ekor kuning yaitu pada suhu 18,83°C angka peroksida 11,46 mEq/kg (TPI Paotere), suhu 17,54°C angka peroksida 22,32 mEq/kg (titik penjualan kedua), dan suhu 24,96°C angka peroksida 23,91 mEq/kg (titik penjualan ketiga). Nilai hubungan pH dengan kadar TVB pada ikan ekor kuning yaitu nilai pH 6,64 kadar TVB 13,13 mgN/100g (TPI Paotere), nilai pH 6,60 kadar TVB 17,12 mgN/100g (titik penjualan kedua), dan nilai pH 6,61 kadar TVB 19,93 mgN/100g (titik penjualan ketiga). Nilai hubungan pH dengan angka peroksida pada ikan ekor kuning yaitu nilai pH 6,64 angka peroksida 11,46 mEq/kg (TPI Paotere), nilai pH 6,60 angka peroksida 22,32 mEq/kg (titik penjualan kedua) dan nilai pH 6,61 angka peroksida 23,91 mEq/kg (titik penjualan ketiga).

Abstract

Mutu kesegaran ikan cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis) merupakan aspek penting dalam menjamin kualitas dan nilai ekonomi hasil perikanan tangkap. Pada perikanan skala kecil, khususnya nelayan handline, praktik penanganan ikan di atas kapal berperan besar dalam menentukan mutu ikan hingga tahap pendaratan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi mutu kesegaran ikan cakalang hasil tangkapan nelayan handline yang didaratkan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Lonrae, Bone, Sulawesi Selatan. Penilaian mutu dilakukan menggunakan parameter organoleptik, suhu, dan derajat keasaman ikan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiga trip penangkapan dengan pengamatan berdasarkan posisi penyimpanan ikan di dalam palka, yaitu palka bagian atas, tengah, dan bawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai organoleptik ikan cakalang berada pada kisaran 7,70–8,90 yang mengindikasikan kondisi ikan masih tergolong segar hingga sangat segar. Suhu ikan selama proses penanganan di atas kapal berada pada kisaran 0,24–1,02 derajat Celsius, sedangkan nilai derajat keasaman berkisar antara 6,69–7,15 yang masih sesuai dengan karakteristik ikan segar. Perbedaan nilai organoleptik, suhu, dan derajat keasaman berdasarkan posisi palka menunjukkan bahwa tata letak penyimpanan dan distribusi es di dalam palka memengaruhi mutu kesegaran ikan. Secara keseluruhan, ikan cakalang yang didaratkan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Lonrae masih memiliki mutu kesegaran yang baik, sehingga praktik penanganan dan pendinginan di atas kapal perlu dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan untuk menjamin kestabilan mutu hasil tangkapan. Abstract

Small pelagic fisheries are highly sensitive to oceanographic variability, particularly sea surface temperature (SST) and primary productivity. The Banda Sea, located in eastern Indonesia, represents one of the country’s most productive yet understudied pelagic fishing grounds. This study examines the relationship between satellite-derived SST and chlorophyll-a concentration and the catch variability of Decapterus spp. in the Banda Sea. Monthly fisheries landing data from Banda Fishing Port in 2024 were integrated with Aqua MODIS Level 3–4 SST and chlorophyll-a products using spatial analysis and multiple linear regression. SST ranged from 25.3 to 33.6 °C, while chlorophyll-a concentrations varied between 0.04 and 13.78 mg.m-³, exhibiting strong seasonal patterns. The highest Decapterus catch (740,374 kg) occurred during the first transition season, coinciding with moderate SST and elevated chlorophyll-a levels. Regression analysis revealed strong correlations between catch and SST (r = 0.778) and chlorophyll-a (r = 0.775), indicating a significant influence of oceanographic conditions on fish availability. This study provides one of the first quantitative assessments linking satellite-derived environmental variability to small pelagic fisheries in the Banda Sea. The findings highlight the potential application of satellite-based monitoring to support ecosystem-based and climate-adaptive fisheries management in tropical marine environments.

Abstract

Fishery exports from Bali Province to Australia deserve specific analysis because Indonesia's fishery sector remains an important source of foreign exchange and non-oil and gas trade performance. This study seeks to evaluate the value and volume of Indonesian fisheries product exports to Australia from 2021 to 2024, emphasizing the effects of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) on these exports. The secondary data utilized encompasses the volume and value of exports for key commodities, including snapper, tuna, and pearls, sourced from the Fish Quarantine, Quality Control, and Safety of Fishery Products Center in Denpasar. A quantitative descriptive method employing time series trend analysis was utilized to depict monthly and annual variations and pinpoint turning points in Indonesian fisheries product exports. During 2021–2024, total exports reached 4,573,914.66 kg with a value of IDR 3,140,480,920,986.20. The highest export volume occurred in 2022 at 1,344,631.19 kg, while the highest export value occurred in 2024 at IDR 1,180,927,685,795.86. Compared with 2023, export value in 2024 increased by 119.05%, whereas volume increased by only 23.50%, indicating that the value increase was driven mainly by improved unit value and a shift toward higher-value commodities. Tuna contributed 41.35% of cumulative volume and 34.78% of cumulative value, while pearls contributed 27.38% of cumulative value with only 2.66% of cumulative volume. The number of commodity groups increased from 22 in 2021 to 27 in 2024. These findings indicate that Bali's export performance to Australia was shaped not only by volume expansion but also by commodity structure, product quality, and market diversification. IA-CEPA is therefore interpreted as a policy context that strengthens market access, rather than as the sole causal factor; further econometric testing is required to estimate its causal impact.
