Abstract

The study aims to rate and categorize the quality of the livable built environment in Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan, which is a riverside settlement. It will do this by identifying important physical features through visual observation, visual interpretation of ArcGIS, scoring, and weighting. We use visual observation methods and visual interpretation of ARCGis to determine and evaluate physical conditions that impact the quality of the settlement environment. We use the scoring and weighting techniques to assess and classify the quality of the habitable built environment in Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan. The results of this study show the physical aspects that form the quality of the residential environment affect the quality of the habitable built environment both positively and negatively. Physical aspects that have a good effect are the road surface and roof coverings of buildings; physical aspects that have a moderate effect are the density of buildings and settlement locations; while the physical aspects that adversely affect are the width of the driveway, protective trees, and building layout. The medium quality classification includes Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan RW 2, RT 6, 7, and 9, with RT 7 having a poor classification value and RT 6 and 9 having a medium one.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is important for workers, which can encourage them to work better. The factor that influences worker satisfaction is leadership because it can create good working relationships so that it will have an impact on performance. This study aims to analyze worker satisfaction with the foreman's leadership style in building construction work and determine what attributes need to be maintained and improved to achieve a good level of satisfaction for building construction workers. The method for analyzing worker satisfaction uses Importance Performance Analysis (IPA IPA) to determine worker satisfaction by measuring the importance and implementation level. The results showed that the respondent's conformity level was 87%, meaning the workers were satisfied with the foreman's leadership. The attributes that must be maintained to increase worker satisfaction are: (1) leaders always have good relations outside the work environment, (2) leaders are always careful in accepting and hiring workers, and (3) being consistent in what is said with what is done. The attributes that must be prioritized to increase worker satisfaction are (1) leaders always serve workers well in the work environment, (2) leaders can control themselves if there are problems and encourage positive development, (3) be consistent in what is said with what is done and (4) always paying attention to the gains and losses in work.

Abstract

Sasirangan fabric artisans carry out the production process in their respective houses. The house not only functions as a living space but also as a production space. Sasirangan fabric is a typical craft from Sasirangan Village, Banjarmasin, which is a source of livelihood for the community. The local government has designated Sasirangan Village as a riverfront area so that the existence and uniqueness of artisans's houses are in danger of being lost. The purpose of this case study research on the spatial typology of artists' business houses is to identify the different types of business houses based on the stage of production and space utilization patterns. The analysis was conducted by arranging categories based on function, spatial relationship patterns, and spatial organization. The research results show that six spatial typologies of business houses were found based on their space utilization patterns.
