Abstract

This research was motivated by observations made by researchers. Students had difficulty memorizing the formula for the sum and difference of two trigonometric angles. And the use of textbooks is less attractive for students to read. Therefore, the researchers developed Prezi-based learning media to solve these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the steps for developing Prezi-based learning media and to determine student responses to the use of Prezi-based learning media on the formula for the sum and difference of two trigonometric angles for class XI SMA during the learning process. This study uses the ADDIE model's research and development (R&D) methods (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The subjects of this study were students of class XI. They collected data by distributing questionnaires for student responses to the limited and expansion tests. Based on the research objectives with the stages of the ADDIE development model, it has been obtained based on learning media. And student responses based on the results of the limited test and the expansion test received relatively good and reasonable answers. Keywords: Development of learning media, Prezi, Trigonometry

Abstract

The research was motivated by the results of the researchers' observations, namely the lack of student creativity in finding solutions to a problem due to the use of learning models that emphasize more on aspects of knowledge so that students' creative thinking skills are still lacking. Based on this background, the researchers applied the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model where students were given the freedom to find new things in problem solving so that they could improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The research uses 3 indicators of creative thinking ability, namely fluency, flexibility, novelty. The research method used is a quantitative method with an experimental design of One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research sample was taken using Probability Sampling, the research data were obtained from the students' pretest posttest. Data analysis used descriptive statistics in the form of tables and diagrams. From the research results, each indicator has increased, namely the fluency indicator 45 percent, flexibility 40 percent, novelty 18 percent. Based on the increase in each indicator of creative thinking ability, it can be concluded that the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in SPLTV learning can improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills in problem solving. Abstract

Every student has a critical thinking process that varies in difficulty. Difference personality characteristics of students influence the thinking process in mathematical problem solving. This study aims to describe each student's critical thinking process based on Polya in terms of Hippocrates Galenus' personality types: choleric, melancholic, phlegmatic, and sanguine. Linear programming is one of the materials that must be critically thought in order to solve the problem. Researchers collected data twice before analyzing the data. The findings of this study show each student's thought process was unique. 1) The Perfect Melancholy Type at Work "need to finish what was started." This type tends to carry out additional clarification or carry out problem-solving plans coherently and clearly, 2) Strong Choleric Type at Work "looking for practical solutions." This type's problem-solving works on questions that seek the final answer without taking the necessary steps. 3) Workplace Peaceful Pleghmatic Type "take the easy way out." This type tends carry out further clarification or carry out a problem-solving plan in a coherent and clear manner, and 4) Popular Work Types "get off to a great start." This type tends to solve a problem in a coherent and clear manner. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Polya, Program Linear, Hippocretes Galenus
