Abstract

Dies merupakan sebuah alat tekan yang berfungsi untuk memotong atau membentuk plat logam yang berbentuk lembaran (sheet metal) menjadi bentuk yang diinginkan. Dies umumnya terdiri dari beberapa jenis seperti conventional dies, inverted dies, compound dies, dan progressive dies. Salah satu komponen yang dapat dibuat menggunakan dies adalah connection plate heater. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh hasil produksi connection plate heater dengan ketinggian burr yang minim. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan pengujian pada compound dies yang biasanya dipakai untuk memproduksi connection plate heater, dari 10 spesimen didapatkan rata-rata ketinggian burr pada proses piercing 0,628 mm dan pada proses blanking 0,239 mm, sehingga rata-rata burr dari 10 spesimen connection plate heater menggunakan compound dies adalah 0,434 mm. Karena hasil burr dari compound dies cukup tinggi, selanjutnya dilakukan perancangan ulang dies untuk memproduksi connection plate heater. Jenis dies yang dipilih adalah progressive dies dengan pertimbangan proses produksi nantinya dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan autofeeder. Dari hasil rancangan progressive dies ini, kemudian dilakukan pengujian dan diambil 10 spesiemen didapatkan rata-rata ketinggian burr pada proses piercing 0,123 mm dan pada proses blanking 0,108 mm, sehingga rata-rata burr dari 10 spesimen connection plate heater menggunakan progressive dies adalah 0,116 mm.

Abstract

In a situation of increasing urbanization in the capital, the demand for decent and quality housing is also increasing rapidly. This increase was in line with increasing market demand for specific construction products such as railings, doors and windows which are of good quality. The research method and data collection will start from nine pairs of 316 stainless steel plates which will be welded using SMAW welding. Welding on stainless steel plates will be carried out with varying welding currents of 60 A, 70 A and 80 A. Each of these welding currents will be carried out on three stainless steel plates. The results showed that the use of a higher variation of welding current in the welding process resulted in a higher strength of the welded joint. The elastic modulus can decrease due to several factors such as the presence of microscopic cracks, changes in crystal structure, or changes in the bonds between atoms or molecules of the material. The strength of welded joints in stainless steel 316 material can also be affected by other factors besides variations in welding current. Parameters such as mains voltage, welding time and type of electrode also contribute to the strength of the welded joint.

Abstract

Lathe is a machine tool that is used to cut the object being rotated. Lathe itself is a workpiece cutting process in which the incision is made by rotating the workpiece and then being applied to the tool which is moved translationally with the rotary axis of the workpiece. In this study the method used was an experimental research method consisting of TiAlN coating to turning process. The results showed that the cutting speed is inversely proportional to the life of the tool, where the higher the cutting speed, the shorter the life of the tool. The higher the cutting speed, the lower the surface roughness value. TiAlN coating has a significant effect on the surface quality of the workpiece and the life of the tool, where the TiAlN coating has a lower surface roughness value than the tool without coating at the same cutting speed.

Abstract

In the permesian process for making various kinds of products, various types of machines are needed, one of which is using a lathe (turning machine). In this study the method used was an experimental method, which was carried out using a conventional lathe by varying the grade of the carbide bit against AISI 4140 steel material. The results showed that the bit with grade IC9250 with a coated CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) content had higher coating strength. strong, so that the wear that occurs is long in the 189th minute while the IC907 grade chisel with a coated TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) content has a weak coating strength, so the wear that occurs is faster in the 182th minute. chisel is directly proportional to the cutting time, because the rpm when the machining process is used is constant. In general, the wear that occurs on the tool eye is abrasive and abrasive wear.

Abstract

Utilizing hydrokinetic energy through water turbines is a promising solution for generating renewable electricity. Water turbines play a crucial role in converting the kinetic energy of water into mechanical energy that can be used to drive electrical generators. This research focuses on the optimal design of a nozzle for water turbines to enhance the performance of hydrokinetic energy. The main objective of this study is to design and analyse an efficient nozzle for water turbines. The nozzle has a critical function in directing the flow of water efficiently and increasing the flow velocity into the water turbine. In the nozzle design, various parameters such as nozzle shape, diameter, angle, and length are considered to achieve optimal performance. The results of this research demonstrate that an optimal nozzle design can significantly enhance the performance of hydrokinetic energy in water turbines. An efficient nozzle design can increase the flow velocity, thereby resulting in increased power output from the turbine. Moreover, the use of genetic algorithms in optimizing the nozzle design aids in efficiently obtaining an optimal design.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate after post-covid 19 has become a concern for the government, not only at the central government, but even in the regions to the sub-district level. Various efforts were made by the government to restore the economy, both from providing jobs and preparing human resources by conducting skills training. In addition to limited job opportunities, low ability/skills and education are one of the factors that make it difficult for people of productive age to get jobs. Kelurahan Kreo, which is located in the Banned sub-district, consists of 41RT and 13 RW that have potential productive age human resources, but have not been fully absorbed into the existing jobs. The minimum level of education, the average of which is high school graduation and the lack of skills makes it difficult to get a job, for this reason skills need to be given as a provision so that they can produce innovative works that can be commercialized. Based on this, community service activities will be carried out for the community in the Banned Kreo area, especially in RW 06. Activities will be carried out in the form of training making souvenirs made from resin, the training provided covers the theory and practice of making molds and pouring resin into molds. Participants consist of people of productive age and youth organizations and are divided into four groups. The shape of the product to be made is in accordance with the creations/innovations of the participants. It is hoped that this activity can increase the competence of the productive age community. Tingginya angka pengangguran setelah paca covid 19 menjadi perhatian pemerintah tidak hanya di pusat bahkan didaerah hingga di tingkat kelurahan. Berbagai upaya dilakukan pemerintah untuk memulihkan perekonomian, baik dari penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan maupun mempersiapkan SDM dengan melakukan pelatihan ketrampilan. Disamping lapangan pekerjaan yang terbatas, kemampuan/skill dan pendidikan yang rendah merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan sulitnya masyarakat usia produktif untuk mendapatkan lapangan pekerjaan. Kelurahan kreo yang terletak dikecamatan larangan terdiri dari 41 rukun tetangga dan 13 rukun warga memiliki SDM usia produktif yang potensial, namun belum sepenuhnya terserap dalam lapangan pekerjaan yang ada. Minimnya tingkat pendidikan yang rata-rata tamat SMA dan kurangnya ketrampilan/skill menyebabkan sulit untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan, untuk itu perlu diberi ketrampilan agar sebagai bekal agar dapat menghailkan karya- karya innovasi yang dapat di komersialkan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka kegitan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan dilakukan kegiatan kepada masyarakat di kawasan kreo larangan khususnya di RW 06. Kegiatan yang akan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan pembuatan souvenir berbahan resin, pelatihan yang diberikan meliputi teori dan praktik pembuatan cetakan dan penuangan bahan resin kedalam cetakan. Peserta terdiri dari masyarakat usia produktif dan karang taruna dan dibagi dalam empat kelompok.Bentuk produk yang akan dibuat sesuai dengan kreasi/innovasi dari para peserta. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kompetensi masyarakat usia produktif tersebut.

Abstract

Makanan khas Palembang yang merupakan kuliner Nusantara begitu popular di masyarakat, yaitu empek-empek. Bahannya terbuat dari ikan dan tepung sagu di sajikan bersamaan dengan semangkuk kuah pedas dan agak asam yang berwarna coklat kehitaman yang di sebut dengan cuko. Seorang pembuat dan penjual empek-empek di kawasan Kreo Larangan Tangerang telah memulai usahanya kurang lebih empat tahun. Usahanya saat ini sudah banyak peminatnya, empek-empek yang di buat, di jual dalam bentuk mentah dan matang, di jual di pasar Cipulir Kebayoran lama Jakarta dan juga secara online. Tim PKM telah melakukan survei dan wawancara kepada pemilik usaha empek-empek Needo yaitu Bapak Sukirman yang beralamat di jalan Kejaksaan III no 34 Kreo Larangan Tangerang, menurut beliau bahwa produksinya perhari sekitar 6 kg. Bahan baku seperti tepung, ikan Tenggiri, dan bumbu lainya dicampur dan di aduk untuk menjadi adonan dilakukan secara konvensional menggunakan tangan, sehingga untuk memproses empek-empek hanya bisa di lakukan sebanyak 1 kg untuk setiap pengadukan, waktu pengadukan sekitar 40 menit. Jadi jika produksinya 6 kg/hari, maka proses pembuatannya di lakukan 6 kali pengadukan di kalikan dengan 40 menit yaitu 240 menit , dan tentunya waktu dan tenaga yang di perlukan begitu besar. Hal ini yang menjadi permasalahan Bapak Sukirman dalam pengolahan empek-empek tersebut. Ada keinginan untuk meningkatkan produksinya, namun belum bisa memenuhinya di karenakan proses pengolahannya yang masih konvensional tersebut. Maka berdasarkan hasil survey tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk membantu usaha empek-empek Palembang agar proses pengolahan adonan menjadi lebih singkat dan kapasitas produksi lebih meningkat

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and industry requires Vocational High School (SMK) students to possess skills in robot assembly and programming to meet labor market demands. SMK 10 November Jakarta needs to equip its students accordingly, considering that the existing curriculum does not fully cover these practical aspects. Therefore, a community service activity in the form of a Following Robot Assembly training was conducted. The goal was to enhance students' technical competence in robotics and foster innovation. The training involved assembly practicum, programming, and simulation, with the application of sustainability principles. The activity was held at SMK 10 Nopember on May 27, 2025, and was attended by 28 students from grades X and XI. The results demonstrated an improvement in students' Line Following Robot assembly skills, evidenced by a 50% increase in scores between the pre-test and post-test. This improvement reflects the growth in students' technical knowledge and confidence in practical design and problem-solving.

Abstract

The turning process is a machining process on a cylindrical workpiece to produce a material profile as designed. The surface of the workpiece being machined produces rough scratches. The surface roughness of the workpiece is an indicator of the quality of the resulting surface. In machine construction, the surface roughness value has been determined by the designer according to the construction needs.The manufacturing process must be capable of forming metal and producing predetermined surface roughness values. The surface roughness value of the workpiece is influenced by several factors such as cutting parameters, cutting tools, coolant system, etc. This research was conducted to determine cutting parameters, especially cutting conductivity on the resulting surface roughness value. The study was carried out using a lathe and a carbide-type cutting tool to cut ST 41 steel. The cutting parameters were cutting speeds of 200, 215, 230, 245, and 260 (m/min), feeding, and depth of cut. Before machining is carried out, the cutting possibility of N7 is determined, namely 1.6 microns, based on the design of the shaft construction. To determine the roughness value to be achieved, the turning process is carried out by varying the cutting speed, cutting pass 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 (mm/rev), while the depth of cut is 0.5 mm. After the cutting process is carried out, the surface roughness of the workpiece is measured. From the results of observations and measurements, it was found that the parameters closest to the desired surface roughness N7 (1.6) were cutting speed (Vc) 245 (m/min), feeding (f) 0.1 (mm/rev), and depth of cut (a) 0.1 mm with a roughness value of 1.63 µm.

Abstract

Teknologi 3D printing berkembang pesat dan menjadi solusi inovatif dalam berbagai industry yang diawali dari pembuatan prototipe sehingga produksi massal. Material ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) dan PLA (Polylactic Acid) digunakan karena memiliki karakteristik fisik yang kuat dan simplification of the printing process. Namun, tantangan utama dalam 3D printing adalah akurasi dimensi hasil cetakan, yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh parameter proses seperti infill density dan wall loops. Kedua parameter ini memberi pengaruh bagaimana material disusun selama proses pencetakan, yang berdampak langsung pada dimensi akhir produk. Ketidakakuratan ini dapat menyebabkan kerugian materi, waktu, dan biaya, serta mempengaruhi kualitas produk akhir. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh parameter proses tersebut terhadap akurasi dimensi hasil cetakan, guna mengidentifikasi kombinasi optimal yang menghasilkan cetakan terbaik. Metode yang dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan 3D printing, bahan fillamen PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) dengan melakukan variasi parameter proses dan pengukuran akurasi dimensi hasil cetakan. hHasil cetakan berupa prototype funnel air velocity karburator sepeda motor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa infill density relative kecil memberi pengaruh terhadap perubahan pada dimensi luar, namun pada dimensi ketebalan cenderung meningkat dengan peningkatan jumlah densitas. wall loops memberi pengaruh kestabilan dimensi dan mendekari dengan dimensi referensi diameter funnel air velocity pada 6 wall loops sebesar 72,09 mm.
