Abstract

Background: Salatiga Public Health Office stated that sexual infection in 2013 was 1,096 cases. While 1,085 cases were recorded between January until November 2014. The sexually transmitted infection rate in Sidorejo Lor Health Center has increased from 96 in 2013 to 133 cases in 2014. Although the screening program already exists, but in the field cases of sexually transmitted infections are continue to rise. Aims: It aims to explore the efforts of sex workers to the sexually transmitted infection treatment, the way they do their activities without transmitting the infection to the customers, and the supports from the localization manager and medical workers for the treatment management for sexually transmitted infections of the sex workers. Method: This research used qualitative method. The data was obtained through in-depth interview. This study involved 3 women who are positively diagnosed with sexually transmitted infection in the Sarirejo localization, Salatiga, Indonesia. Results: The study highlights that the the sex workers who diagnosed with sexually transmitted infection seeks medical treatment from medical workers. Some drink herbs and wash their vagina with betel. During the treatment, they reduce their sex activity and always use condom. As realised the infection, they receive support from the localization manager and medical workers. Conclusion: From this study, we noted that female sex workers who realized having sexually transmitted infections will look for either medical and traditional treatment. Support from localization manager to managing STIs are reminded to always use condoms and participated the screening by Primary Health Care officers. Regulation issued by the provider and screening participation highlighted the treatment management of sexually transmitted infection among female sex workers in Salatiga, Indonesia.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data dari Maternal Perinatal Death Notification (MPDN), sistem pencatatan kematian ibuKementerian Kesehatan, jumlah kematian tahun 2022 mencapai 4.005 dan tahun 2023 meningkat menjadi4.129. Januari-November 2023 ibu bersalin sebanyak 1615 orang. Jumlah ibu bersalin normal 384 orang, SC 1.362 orang, dengan kejadian BSC 304 orang, Peb 179 orang, KPD 123 orang, PTM 85 orang, serotinus 84 orang, sungsang 72 orang, fetal distres 54 orang, gagal induksi 43 orang, obliq 51 orang danoligohidramnion 24 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas counterpressure danmassage effleurage terhadap nyeri persalinan pada ibu bersalin kala 1 fase aktif. Jenis penelitian ini adalahkuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Quasi Experiment (Pre Post Test). Populasi adalah seluruh ibu yangbersalin di RS Santa Maria Pemalang. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 36 orang menggunakan teknikaccidental sampling. Variabel independen counterpressure dan massage effleurage, variabel dependenadalah nyeri. Intrumen penelitian SOP dan NRS. Analisa data menggunakan mengunakan uji  Manwhitney.Hasil  uji statistik diperoleh p-value 0,139> (α) 0,05 sehingga Ho diterima. Kesimpulan dari penelitian iniyaitu tidak terdapat perbedaan efektifitas counterpresure dan massage effleurage  untuk mengurangi nyeripada ibu bersalin kala I fase aktif di RS Santa Maria Pemalang.Kata kunci: counterpresure, Massage Effleurage, Nyeri, Persalinan

Abstract

Introduction: A preliminary survey at Bhakti Wira Tamtama Hospital Semarang found that the number of deliveries in 2018 was 3,312 deliveries, 2,280 normal deliveries, and 1,032 cesarean section deliveries. The effect of labor pain is prolonged. There were 198 cases of prolonged partus in 2018 (6%). Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of Herbal Body Compress and Warm Belts in dealing with labor pain in laboring women. Methods: The research design quasi-experiment used pre- and post-tests with the control group. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a total sample of 36 respondents divided into 2 intervention groups herbal body compress (n = 18) and warmbelt control group (n = 18). Measurement instrument of labor pain scale using numeric rating scale (NRS). Data analysis using wilcoxon and mann whitney statistical analysis tests with p-<0.05. Result: There is a difference in pain during the first stage in laboring women before and after in the Herbal Body Compress group (P-value = 0.000). There is a difference in labor pain before and after in the Warm Belt group (P-value = 0.001). Conclusion: There are differences before and after treatment, that herbal body compress is more effective in overcoming labor pain than warmbelt (p-value = 0.031) with a mean rank value of herbal body compress 22.19 and warmbelt 14.81. Herbal body compress is effective in reducing labor pain.
