Abstract

Balinese always preserve cultural traditions as the inheritance of their ancestors. Omed-omedan tradition is a unique and rare tradition since such tradition cannot be encountered in other areas. Therefore, it is interesting to be discussed in a paper. This reseacrh was aimed at finding out: How is the process of implementation of Omed-omedan tradition at Banjar Kaja Kelurahan Sesetan, South Denpasar Sub-District, Denpasar City?, What is the relationship between Omed-omedan tradition and the series of Nyepi Holiday at Banjar Kaja Kelurahan Sesetan, South Denpasar Sub-District Denpasar City? What is the meaning of Omed-omedan tradition for the people at Banjar Kaja Kelurahan Sesetan, South Denpasar Sub-District, Denpasar City? The theoretical bases applied in this research are 1). Culture, 2). Religious systems, 3). Society. The results of the research show that the implementation of Omed-omedan Tradition must be conducted as it relates to Ida Bhatara Sesuhunan at in Banjar Kaja Sesetan temple, which is believed to be able to provide safety for His people, in addition, Omedomedan tradition is also an event of Masima Krama (visit and forgive each other) to welcome Caka New Year (Nyepi Holiday). The conclusions of this research are 1). Omed-omedan tradition is Purwa Dresta, namely a religious custom and it is not allowed if it is not conducted because if it is not conducted, it is believed it would lead to the undesirable things, 2). In its performance, Omed-omedan tradition is an event of Masima Krama in order to welcome Caka New Year, 3). The meaning of this Omed-omedan tradition is as a devotion to Ida Bhatara Sesuhunan, as by always conducting this tradition, the members of Banjar Kaja Sesetan are believed to always have His protection.

Abstract

Based on the description above, the research problem is focused on 1) How is indonesian’s situation ahead of the reformation? 2) How was indonesian’s political and economic reform period 1998-1999? 3) How was indonesian’s political and economic development in the early years of 1998-1999? The method used in this study is the historical method. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation techniques,while the data analysis techniques used are qualititative descriptive. The results of the study showed that political and economic development gave good influence, especially in the political field, the antusiasm and participation of the people in the political field were increasingly high, one of them was the formation of new parties. There is an improvement in human right (HAM) which was previously violated during the new order era, justice in the whole word. While in the economic field to improve the economic which was slumped mainly in the bangking sector, the goverment formed the national bangking restructuring agency (BPPN). Furthermore the govermet issued no 5 of 1999 concering the prohibition of monopolistic pratices and unfair competition, as well as law no 8 of 1999 concering consumer protection. The conclusions of the political and economic development of Indonesians society in the early days of reform led to better changes, especially government policies which gave wider room for rights to express opinions and thughts both oral and written. Whereas in the economic field the rate of economic growth began to be positive although not far from 1%.

Abstract

Parents are the first and foremost educators in the process of child development by positioning the house into a multipurpose building full of meaning. This study aims to explore the discourse of informal education in building children's character during the coronavirus disease-19 (covid-19) pandemic. This study is descriptive-qualitative. Data collection was carried out by studying documents and literature. The results of the study showed that the emergence of Covid-19 was initially responded to normally like other viruses, but the increasing number of victims eventually caused panic which affected the socio-cultural community, Covid-19 forces people to work and stay at home more. Social interaction, face-to-face communication and being replaced online by taking advantage of the sophistication of technology, and the role of parents is important by placing the family as one of the pillars of education to instill the norms, morals, and rules of conduct in consistently carrying out the government programs to prevent and break the chain of covid-19 transmission

Abstract

Learning is necessity, not just for children, but also for all people required to get an education. Bresekamp, an expert on developmental psychology (1997:97), reveals that administration in early children education is recognized as a very important period in building human resources and the danger comes once this period and can not be repeated again, so that stimulation can be started with an education that can be absolutely necessary. Homeschooling is a process that can be done by any parents who love and care their children. Any educational background or job does not preclude parents to make educational homeschooling. It needs commitment, willingness to learn, and work hard. Homeschooling is not an easy thing, but it can be carried out because it has millions of parents who do it for their children Homeschooling families who apply this system, must see that this model has a great opportunity to teach the habit of looking for any information for their children’s education needs which focus on skills that are loaded with the latest information. Homeschooling can be an alternative method for children’s education in the early age, in addition to its application implemented in home environment, kids can directly interact and apply their knowledge in the real world, and at the same time, the children can immediately get explanation or correction when making the mistake. In addition to be able to carry out the methods of homeschooling, parents should be able to spend their time for their children and be creative and innovative so as to be able to attract and interact in knowing the curiosity of the children.

Abstract

Kajian ini mencoba menelaah peranan situs sejarah sebagai perekat kerukunan bangsa di tengah kemasakinian yang begitu problematis. Sejarah adalah hasil rekonstruksi cipta, rasa, karsa, dan karya manusia masa lalu, namun bagaimana memosisikan situs sejarah agar tetap berperan bagi masa depan suatu bangsa. Situs sejarah mengandung berbagai emosi di dalamnya yang harus dinarasikan. Sejarah membangkitkan keinsyafan akan dimensi ruang dan waktu yang sangat esensial dalam eksistensi manusia. Penelitian ini dirancang secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan alamiah, ditunjang studi pustaka, dengan menempatkan peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci. Pengambilan sampel secara purposive, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi, analisis data bersifat kualitatif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatkan situs sejarah sebagai sumber belajar dan media penghubung adalah sesuatu yang sangat strategis di tengah dinamika masyarakat yang mengarah ke arah bebas sekat. Situs sejarah dapat berperan sebagai media yang menghubungkan masa kini dengan masa lalu. Situs sejarah dapat dijadikan sebagai simbol perekat kerukunan bangsa. Sebagai simbol kerukunan, situs sejarah mengandung nilai dan makna simbolik, informatif, estetik, dan ekonomi dalam upaya membangun masa depan bangsa yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Desa Batuan merupakan salah satu desa seni. Salah satu ciri khas yang dimiliki adalah Tari Gambuh yang masih tetap dilestarikan hingga sekarang. Tari ini merupakan jenis tari yang paling tua dan klasik. Awal munculnya Tari Gambuh diperkirakan antara abad ke-16. Sumber utama lakon dari Tari Gambuh adalah cerita Panji. Dalam kaitannya dengan upacara, biasanya Tari Gambuh selalu dipentaskan dalam pelaksanaan upacara Dewa Yadnya khususnya dalam upacara piodalan di beberapa Pura Kahyangan Tiga yang ada di Desa Batuan. Keunikan yang dimiliki oleh tari serta pentingnya dramatari ini dalam upacara yang ada di Desa Batuan, yaitu (1) Bentuk-bentuk Tari Gambuh di Pura Desa Adat Batuan, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar; (2) Fungsi Tari Gambuh di Pura Desa Adat Batuan, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar; (3) Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Tari Gambuh di Pura Desa Adat Batuan, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Untuk mendapatkan data lapangan digunakan beberapa metode pengumpulan data yaitu: observasi (pengamatan), wawancara, studi kepustakaan, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Tari Gambuh adalah termasuk tarian bebali yang pada umumnya memiliki fungsi sebagai pengiring dalam upacara yang memiliki bentuk, fungsi serta nilai pendidikan, sehingga keberadaan Tari Gambuh tetap eksis dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan agama, khususnya masyarakat yang ada di Desa Batuan. Adapun bentuk Tari gambuh antara lain: lakon, komposisi (tata gerak dan koreografi), tokoh-tokoh dan tipe watak, tata busana (kostum), dan iringan (musik) dalam Tari Gambuh. Selain bentuk, Tari Gambuh memiliki fungsi tertentu, seperti: fungsi spiritual, fungsi estetika, dan fungsi sosial. Nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam Tari Gambuh adalah nilai estetika, nilai pendidikan etika, dan nilai pendidikan sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan media gambar dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar sejarah siswa kelas X-AP4 SMK PGRI 4 Denpasar. Instrumen penelitian dalam tulisan ini meliputi data observasi, dokumentasi, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), dan tes. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi/ evaluasi, dan refleksi. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 33 siswa di kelas X-AP4 SMK PGRI 4 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil belajar siswa sebagai berikut: (1) pada tes awal peningkatan pembelajaran sejarah memperoleh nilai rata-rata 60,30 yang dikelompokan dalam kategori kurang; (2) pada siklus I menunjukkan peningkatan pembelajaran sejarah memperoleh nilai yang dikelompokan dalam kategori baik, yaitu 70; (3) Pada siklus II peningkatan pembelajaran sejarah memperoleh nilai rata-rata yang dikelompokan dalam kategori meningkat, yaitu 85.

Abstract

According to the results of the observations were carried out research through observation of classes and interviews with teachers eye subjects IPS Class VII 6 in SMP State 7 Denpasar at half of odd year lesson 2018/2019 at the time of executing PPL ( practical experience of the field ) shows that the achievement of the results of study eyes lessons IPS less optimal. Based on the background behind what has been described in the above , it can be formulated the problem as follows : 1 ). How does the model of learning cooperative type of talking stick can increase the motivation to learn social studies students grade VII 6 SMP State 7 Denpasar? 2 ) . How does the model of learning cooperative type of talking stick can improve the outcomes of learning IPS students grade VII 6 SMP state 7 Denpasar ? . The objectives of this study are : 1 ). To find out the application of the cooperative learning model the talking stick type can increase social studies learning motivation in students of class VII 6 of SMP State 7 Denpasar. 2 ). To determine the application of the model of learning cooperative type of talking sick can improve the outcomes of learning IPS on students to weld VII 6 SMP State 7 Denpasar. Type of research this is the Research Action Class (PTK). research action class is compose. Based on the results d of two cycles that each cycle includes planning , implementation of action , observation and reflection . The method that is used in research this is the application of the model estab be disable in cooperative type of talking stick of study show motivation to learn the students can be seen in Cycle I obtained the category of motivation to learn ' high ' as many as 10 students and the category of ' quite high ' 14 students , while the category of ' low ' 16 students . In Cycle II there was an increase in the ' very high ' category of 7 students , the ' high ' category of 26 students , and the 'enough' category of 3 students . While the result of learning of students can be seen on cycle I that the value of the realm of cognitive students are on average 66 and completeness 72% and the realm of Affective values were obtained by the students is a very good 46.8%, good 46.8%, and quite a 36.0% while the sphere Psychomotor very good 50.4%, good 50.4% and sufficient 28%. In Cycle II domain of cognitive students are on average 78 and the thoroughness of 100, the realm of affective value that is obtained by the students is very good 90%, both 39.6% while psychomotor very good 90%, good 39.6%. Thus , can be concluded that the application of the model of learning cooperative type of talking stick can increase the motivation to learn and the results of learning IPS students grade VII 6 SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar, because through interaction are both between teachers and students as well as the atmosphere of learning that is fun facilitate students to understand and learn materials lesson so that objectives are desired can be achieved.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan memperkenalkan tokoh lokal dalam pembelajaran sejarah sekaligus membangun persepsi siswa tentang kiprah pejuang lokal dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan bangsanya. Kajian ini menggunakan metode sejarah dan metode penelitian deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara. Informan penelitian terdiri dari berbagai personal dalam posisi informal dan formal, seperti tokoh puri, teman seperjuangan, tokoh adat, tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, dan Kepala Desa yang terseleksi secara purposive. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa masih minim pembahasan materi sejarah lokal, guru sejarah kerap terjebak pada materi ajar yang tertuang dalam buku paket mata pelajaran. Guru kurang berani mengembangkan materi berbasis kearifan lokal, dengan dalih mengejar capaian kurikulum. Guru melaksanakan pembinaan melalui penerapan kedisiplinan dengan menanamkan dasar motivasi dan nilai-nilai keteladanan tokoh lokal, tujuannya agar siswa mampu mencontoh sikap keteladanan pelaku sejarah lokal, terutama dalam memupuk semangat patriotisme. Pembelajaran sejarah dengan berbasis tokoh lokal dapat membangun persepsi peserta didik tentang keteladanan tokoh untuk dapat dipraktikan dalam mengantisipasi dinamika masyarakat sebagai akibat semakin masifnya pengaruh arus kebudayaan global.

Abstract

Museums are scientific information service providers based on data and facts presented through collections as part of a scientific study. This study aims to analyses museum as a medium of non-formal education in instilling character to strengthen national identity. The study in this paper is classified as a descriptive-exploratory type of study. This study uses a literature review approach and data study through the internet network, combined with field studies by visiting the Bali Museum as a research locus where cultural heritage is stored. Data analyses divided into three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, concluding/verification. The study results show that museums are perceived as non-profit institutions that prioritize social goals, such as education. Museums as a place for cultural studies while having recreation can foster thinking skills in children. The eyes are the windows to the soul that can stimulate active, creative, critical, and innovative thinking, thus giving rise to intelligence in understanding the character values ​​that lie behind a collection of cultural heritage to strengthen national identity. The Bali Museum is the pride of the Balinese people having a fundamental role in instilling character values ​​in maintaining national identity and identity.
