Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian: (1) mendeskripsikan secara komprehensif kemamÂpuan memÂbaca pemahaman peserta didik SD di Provinsi Bengkulu terhadap wacana terstandar yang biasa digunakan PIRLS untuk tes kemampuan membaca, (2) menÂdesÂkripÂsikan secara komprehensif kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa SD di ProÂvinsi Bengkulu terhadap wacana yang disusun peneliti dengan materi berbasis peÂngetahuan lokal. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 6 Sekolah Dasar di ProÂvinsi BengÂkulu. Untuk memperoleh data, responden diuji dengan menggunakan dua tes keÂmampuan membaca, terstandar PIRLS dan tidak terstandar atau diÂkembangkan senÂdiri oleh penulis. Laporan dari dua penelitian tersebut menyataÂkan bahwa keÂmampuan siswa SD Bengkulu tergolong rendah. Rata-rata kemamÂpuan membaca peÂmahaman hanya sekitar 30%. Hasil tes yang disusun penulis juga memÂperÂlihatkan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa hanya sekitar 30% saja. LeÂbih rendahnya kemampuan membaca berdasarkan hasil tes terstandar oleh kaÂrena bahannya lebih panjang daripada tes disusun peneliti. Bacaan yang biasa diÂgunakan untuk siswa dalam pembelajaran 200-250 kata dengan tingkat bacaan berkategori mudah sampai dengan sedang.Abstract: The purposes of this research were to (1) comprehensively describe studentsâ reaÂding comprehension achievement at Elementary Schools of Bengkulu Province usiÂng discourse standard that was usually used for the reading ability test, (2) discourse that was composed by researcher with local knowledge based mateÂrials. This research was conducted in six elementary schools throughout BengÂÂkulu Province. To obtain data, respondents were tested by using two reaÂding achieveÂment tests with a PIRLS standard and the non-standard test comÂposed by the researcher. The research showed that reading ability of Bengkulu students are categorized as low. The average score of reading comprehension is only 30%. The result of non-standard test or the test composed by researcher indicated that stuÂdentsâ reading comprehension ability score is 30%. The low level of reading comÂprehension score based on the standardized test because of the material discourse is longer than that composed by the researcher. The reading materials that were usually used for the students instruction consisted of 200-250 words with the caÂtegory reading rates started from the easy to middle one.Â

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah membantu guru mereduksi efek negatif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap pendidikan di Kab. Seluma Provinsi Bengkulu dengan mengambangkan media pembelajaran daring berbasis TIK. Khalayak sasaran adalah guru Bahasa Indonesia yang tergabung dalam MGMP Bahasa Indonesia SMP. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah media presentasi Prezi dan media pembelajaran pandang dengar Sparkol VideoScribe. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh adalah dua media pembelajaran masing-masing satu karya media pembelajaran Prezi dan VideoScribe yang siap untuk diterapkan untuk mengajar. Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif berbasis TIK adalah: 1) jaringan koneksi data internet yang tidak merata; 2) perangkat komputer yang dimiliki kurang ideal; dan 3) aksesibilitas ke pusat-pusat belajar atau sumber pengetahuan relatif terbatas.

This activity aims to manifest Bengkulu University's participation in accelerating the increase in community literacy, especially in the District Bengkulu Utara, Bengkulu Province. Bearing in mind that the results of various surveys and evaluations of the GLN program in North Bengkulu show that the implementation of movement and literacy skills could have been better. This community service is conducted through counseling and focus group discussions to equalize perceptions and form a District Regional Literacy Assistance Teamâ€”North Bengkulu to share their role in making GLN a success. The activity was held on August 30, 2022, inviting the Regional Government/Regional Government, District Education Office, Regional Library and Archives Service, Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda), Professional Organizations (MGMP), Academics, and Regional Policy Stakeholders. However, the only participants present were academics, teachers from MGMP elements, and the sub-district head. The analysis results show that strengthening literacy has not become a shared responsibility. Policymakers and stakeholders still think that strengthening literacy skills is the responsibility of schools (teachers) alone. TPLD has not been successfully formed for this activity because parties in the field of literacy have not fully attended it.

The aim of this research is to comprehensively describing readability of Bahasa Indoesia’s students text book. The books is “Buku Siswa Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VII” revision edition 2014, published by Ministry of Education and Culture. Research was conducted with descriptive quantitative design. All of text in the text book (38 article) was taken as sample, and analysed using Fry Graph formula. The result of analysis shown, more than a half of all text (52%) is suitable for seventh grade student. While, 18 text (48%) is not suitable one.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi komprehensif Kinerja Guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu pada aspek kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi kepribadian.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu. Sampel ditetapkan secara acak sejumlah 30 orang lulusan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Kinerja Guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada aspek kompetensi pedagogik berada dalam skala 3,16, aspek kompetensi professional berada dalam skala 3,28, aspek kompetensi sosial berada dalam skala 3,45, dan aspek kompetensi kepribadian berada dalam skala 3,46. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya lebih maksimal lagi.

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement in writing drama scripts through a contextual approach based on the folklore Musi Rawas grade VIII students of SMP Negeri Pedang. This type of research is classroom action research. The data source of this research is VIII grade students of SMP Negeri Pedang in the 2018/2019 academic year, while the research data is the ability to write media-based drama scripts of Musi Rawas folklore. Data collection techniques using test, observation, and documentation techniques. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle designed with the details of the activities of each meeting as follows: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Test the validity of the data using triangulation. The results of this study indicate that there was an increase in the ability to write drama scripts for VIII grade students of SMP Negeri Pedang by using a contextual approach based on Musi Rawas folklore. This is indicated by an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2. In cycle 1 students who completed 44.5% with enough categories and an increase in cycle 2 with the number of students who completed 86.1% with good categories.

The purpose of this study was to describe the competence of Indonesian language teachers in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri Simpang Kosgoro, Muasi Rawas Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The collection technique uses observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique was carried out by data reduction, data classification, data interpretation, and conclusions. Wetness test data using membercheck. The results showed that the performance competence of Indonesian civil servant teachers in the National Education Office of Musi Rawas Regency from pegagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence, especially in SMP Negeri Simpang Kosgoro showed that it had reached a value range of 75-100 with value 4 in the very good category.

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of the process and the results of the ability to write fables using the example non example learning model for grade VII.3 students of SMP Negeri Muara Beliti for the 2018/2019 academic year. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The data collection methods used were the observation method and the fable writing assignment test method. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, descriptive presentation (narrative, visual images, tables) with a systematic and logical flow of presentation, and the conclusion of the results presented based on indicators of research success. The results showed that the example non example learning model could improve the quality of the process and the results of learning to write fables for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri Muara Beliti in the 2018/2019 academic year. This is evidenced by the increase in teacher activity in cycle I reaching 65.3%, increasing to 94.4% in cycle II. In the first cycle, student learning activities, namely 71.9%, increased to 81.3% in the second cycle.

The purpose of this study was to describe the reading ability of class VII students of SMPN 3 Rejang Lebong. This research method is a quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study were class VII SMPN 3 Rejang Lebong with the research sample being class VII E and VII H which were taken by random sampling. Data collection technique is done by testing technique. Students are tested with objective questions in the form of 4 discourses and each discourse consists of 3-6 questions. The results showed that the reading ability of class VII students of SMPN 3 Rejang Lebong regarding the text of the observation report was seen from several aspects, namely the structural aspect obtained an average value of 96.4 classified as very good criteria, aspects of linguistic elements obtained an average value of 72 including good criteria , aspects of the main idea of paragraphs obtained an average value of 72 including good criteria, aspects of the conclusion of paragraphs obtained an average value of 70.5 including good criteria, and aspects of analysis obtained an average value of 78 including good criteria. Overall, the aspect of students' reading ability with an average score is good, between 70-79% and each student has a different understanding of texts one to four.

Language is a species-specific human capacity. Language is acquired gradually and simultaneously from birth. The purpose of this study was to find out a comprehensive description of forms and factors that influence the expression of acceptance and rejection of children's conversations in Dharma Wanita Kindergarten school, Bengkulu Province. A descriptive qualitative approach and ethnographic design were used in this study. The subjects of this study were children in the Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Bengkulu Province. The researchers themselves are the key instrument. Data analysis shows that children in Dharma Wanita Kindergarten school can express personal attitudes in communicating. However, they have not fully applied the communicative principles (cooperative and politeness principle) in conversation, and any external factors influence their conversation.
