Abstract

Setiap perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Parameter pengamatan meliputi panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar, umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah malai per rumpun, jumlah biji per malai, jumlah biji bernas per malai dan jumlah 100 biji. Penggunaan sistem polybag pada penggembangan budidaya padi lokal dengan macam media tanam memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter umur berbunga, umur panen dan jumlah biji per malai tanaman padi lokal.

Abstract

Tissue culture is useful as a way to obtain seeds in large quantities of seedlings in a short time as an effort to preserve Bucephalandra sp. in nature. The use of PGR has problems such as expensive prices and difficult to find, therefore its use can be replaced by natural PGR that are easy to obtain and have relatively cheap prices such as coconut water. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Benzylaminopurine (BAP) and coconut water on the growth of Bucephalandra sp. in vitro. This research is a 2-factor factorial experiment using a completely randomized design. The factors are concentration of BAP (0; 1; 3; 5 mg/l) and concentration of coconut water (0; 50; 100 ml/l). The results showed Murashige and Skoog (MS) media with the addition of BAP 1 mg/l + coconut water 50 ml/l (4.11 shoots), BAP 5 mg/l + coconut water 50 ml/l (4.33 shoots), and BAP 3 mg/l (6.22 shoots) were able to provide the number of shoots with high results. The addition of coconut water did not affect the growth of Bucephalandra sp. MS media can grow shoots with the best results in measurements of shoot emergence time, number of roots, shoot and root length. Keywords: Aquatic plant, Endemic plant, Plant growth regulators, Tissue culture.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a staple food for Indonesian people to fulfill their daily needs. Rice planting is expected to be able to produce high value, but nowadays it is constrained by the increasing condition of the land. Hydroponic cultivation is the right solution because it can be done on a narrow area but the response of plants to the slope of the hydroponic land is not yet known. This study aims to determine the effect of the slope of the hydroponic installation on the growth and yield of hydroponic rice plants. The research was carried out from June to September 2022, at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The experiment used in this study was a Randomized Block Design with 3 replications and each replication had 10 samples. Treatment of the slope of the building consists of 0%, 3%, and 5%. Data were analyzed by the F test and continued with Duncan's multiple distance test with a level of 5%. The results showed that the installation slope of 0% gave the best results for plant and root length.

Abstract

Purslane has many benefits as food or raw material for medicine. It is rich in beneficial compounds, such as omega-3 and vitamins. However, it has not been cultivated yet. Organic input in cultivation is essential to ensure food safety for humans. Using organic inputs can avoid the yield from chemical and biological contaminants that can threaten health. Thus, the source of growing media and fertilizer must be considered. Because the use of synthetic chemicals has residues that are harmful to the environment and human health. This research sought to identify the best combination of growing media and organic fertilizer to increase purslane yield. The experiment was conducted with a randomized block design with 2 factors and 3 replications. Organic fertilizers (guano, cow urine, and rabbit urine) and planting media (soil, soil + husk charcoal, soil + compost, and soil + husk charcoal) were the treatments assessed. The observation variables were planting media analysis, the number of leaves and branches, growth diameter, and fresh weight. The results show that the planting medium and organic fertilizer did not significantly affect the measured growth parameters. The single variable of organic fertilizer made a difference in growth diameter and fresh weight. Rabbit urine produced in the highest growth diameter, and guano produced in the highest fresh weight The single variable of organic fertilizer made a difference in growth diameter and fresh weight. Rabbit urine produced in the highest growth diameter, and guano produced in the highest fresh weight The single variable of organic fertilizer made a difference in growth diameter and fresh weight.
