Abstract

The lack of understanding about macapat songs among teachers and the lack of an effective learning model for teaching macapat songs to students was the background of this activity. This activity aimed to improve the ability of macapat songs with a direct approach for teachers at SD Kanisius Sorowajan Yogyakarta. The direct learning approach was an approach that provided opportunities for students to learn by observing, researching, and imitating the actions exemplified by the teacher in class. The ability of macapat songs was described in four indicators, namely scope, preservation, notation, and classification of macapat songs. The method used in this activity was a participatory assessment involving 11 teachers from SD Kanisius Sorowajan Yogyakarta. The results of the activity showed 1) an increase in pretest to posttest scores of 76.70%, 2) a significant effect on the teacher's macapat song ability (p < 0.05) which was included in the large effect category (r = 0.9552), and 3 ) a high level of effectiveness of the training implemented (n-gain score 76.09%).

Abstract

Concern about the low level of social intelligence among elementary school students is something that needs to be addressed immediately. Efforts to foster social intelligence at SD Kanisius Sorowajan Yogyakarta are still carried out through habituation activities at school that are not carried out every day. However, SD Kanisius Sorowajan has not implemented efforts to improve the character of social intelligence by integrating learning in the classroom using innovative learning methods and adapted to local culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethnopedagogical learning for Javanese script using the Montessori method on the social intelligence character of elementary school students. For this reason, one group pretest-posttest design was used as the research method. A total of 20 children of class IVA at SD Kanisius Sorowajan, Yogyakarta, were involved as subjects in this study. The research instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test instrument with 10 questions according to the indicators of social intelligence. The data obtained were then analysed using the IBM Statistics version 26 for windows program to calculate the effect and effectiveness with a 95% confidence level and with a two-tailed test. The research findings showed that ethnopedagogical learning for Javanese characters using the Montessori method had an effect on children's social intelligence characters (p < 0.05). The effect size was categorised as large (r = 0.8896 or equivalent to 79.14%). The learning effectiveness level is included in the high effectiveness level (N-gain score 82.52%). The results of semantic analysis show a dynamic pattern of social intelligence characters that can be classified into three dimensions, namely 1) moral knowledge, which is expressed by indicators of skill evaluation, social relationships, understanding expressions, managing emotions, 2) moral feelings, which are expressed by indicators of empathy, emotional turmoil, understanding feelings, assessing motivation, and 3) moral action, which is indicated by indicators of building relationships and good cooperation.

Abstract

Electronic commerce is an exchange using technology as an intermediary between various parties (individuals or organizations) as well as electronic-based intra or interorganizational exchange activities. The most commonly used interface is the web browser. Visitor’s behavior on a web site can be analyzed using a classification algorithm on the data order of site visits or commonly known as web clickstream. In this study the weighted k-nearest neighbor algorithm is used to classify users who have the potential to make online based purchase on public data on a web clickstream data of an e-commerce. The weighted k-nearest neighbor method makes the classification based on the label that has the highest number of distance weights at the nearest k-neighbor from the classified data. The output of this system is the classification of users who have the potential to purchase goods online and those who do not. Researchers conducted an attribute selection experiment with variations in k and variations in the number of attributes based on the results of rank information gain and obtained the 2 most influential attributes in the classification namely Page Values and Exit Rates. Testing to find the most optimal k was done on 7,632 data using 3-fold cross validation and produced the highest accuracy of 86.2028% at k = 65.
