Abstract

AbstactThis is articel about it raised The Philosophy values from Tari Tanggai dance in social community of Palembang people and pour it’s values in the Philosophy of Phenomenology Art. To uncover these values so that’s why the researcher uses the qualitative methods.   The data was collected by using the references, field observations and interviews.  In solving this problem, the researcher used the phenomenology approach. The result from the research shows that Tari Tanggai as a welcoming dance for Palembang people as an attribute to give honour to the guests using Tanggai. Tanggai dance in society contains the Philosophy values in it’s moving like; in the movement of Siguntang Mahameru, Borobudur,, Stupa, Mudra, Sembah and Tolak Arus. While, Tanggai dance in society life has function for religious, for performance art, for education, and for the performance of tourism package  Keywords: Tanggai dance, Philosophy values and functions

Abstract

Wacana pendidikan, dalam hal ini adalah pendidikan seni bagi anak  dalam pengembangan kreatifitas dan pembentukan sikap mental anak positif. Karena anak adalah asset masa depan menuju generasi emas atau generasi yang diharapkan bagi bangsa dalam membangun masa depandan peradabannya.Wacana pendidikan. Selain karena selalu bersentuhan manusia dalam membangun peradaban, juga adanya evaluasi dan refleksi terhadap system pendidikandi  di masa lalu, adalah suatu keharusan untuk pembelajaran, agar pendidikan lebih baik dan tidak terjerumus pada kesalahan yang sama.Maka wacana pendidikan tidak pernah usang dan basi untuk diperbincangkan. Berbicara tentang pendidikan bagi anak , maka tidaklah bisa dilepaskan dari pendidikan “kesenian”. Wacana pendidikan, dalam hal ini adalah pendidikan seni bagi anak  dalam pengembangan kreatifitas dan pembentukan sikap mental anak positif. Karena anak adalah asset masa depan menuju generasi emas atau generasi yang diharapkan bagi bangsa dalam membangun masa depandan peradabannya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors influence students' interest in learning dance in the teaching and learning process. This research is a qualitative research, the research population is class VII 5 MTs Negeri 1 Prabumulih with a total of 31 students. Data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Results Based on observations at school there are still many students who are less interested in learning dance. This situation is caused by several factors, namely intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors are factors that come from within the individual and can affect student learning outcomes, for example physical factors, physical, intelligence, interests and talents. While extrinsic factors are factors that come from outside the individual and can affect learning outcomes, for example family, school, and community factors. It can be said that these factors have a considerable influence on students' interest in learning art. There should be cooperation between teachers, schools, and families to increase students' interest in learning dance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran Tari Munai Serapah dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMAN 1 Banyuasin 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan berlangsung secara terstruktur mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Guru berperan aktif sebagai pelatih dengan metode yang memudahkan siswa memahami gerakan tari. Siswa menunjukan atusiasme tinggi, terlihat dari semangat mereka dalam berlatih baik di sekolah maupun secara mandiri. Kegiaan ini tidak hanya mengasah keterampilan seni, tetapi juga meningkatkan kerja sama, disiplin, dan kepercayaan diri. Evaluasi praktik menunjukkan Sebagian besar siswa menguasai tari dengan baik meskipun terdapat keterbatasan faslitas. Secara keseluruhan proses pembelajaran bejalan efektif.

Abstract

Dalam analisa ini, rias dan busana yang digunakan oleh penari Burung Kuaw di Studio Seni Sedulang Setudung Banyuasin diteliti. Dalam tarian Burung Kuaw, yang bersifat artistik dan filosofis, kostum dan riasan penari berfungsi untuk menonjolkan gerakan mereka dan memberikan konteks bagi karakter yang mereka gambarkan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dan data dikumpulkan melalui metode seperti dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Tari burung kuaw menggunakan warna-warna cerah untuk menonjolkan ekspresi penari, sementara busananya dirancang dengan motif dan warna yang memiliki makna simbolis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tata rias dan busana tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai estetika visual tetapi juga menjadi elemen penting dalam menyampaikan filosofi tari. Oleh karena itu, pelestarian dan inovasi dalam desain busana serta tata rias perlu dilakukan agar tarian ini tetap lestari.

Abstract

The interest of the younger generation in understanding and preserving traditional dance is steadily declining, as school learning remains focused on cognitive aspects and rarely utilizes cultural arts as learning resources. Consequently, the philosophical and religious values embedded in the Gending Sriwijaya dance are not optimally conveyed to students. This study aims to explore and interpret the philosophical and religious values contained in the Gending Sriwijaya dance as a representation of the local cultural identity of the Palembang community in Indonesia. Using an Aesthetics Philosophy approach (phenomenology), this study examines how these values reflect the spiritual and cultural worldview of the local community. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through literature review, field observation, and in-depth interviews. The analysis was conducted using a phenomenological approach to uncover the deeper meanings behind the dance movements and accompanying cultural symbols. The findings indicate that the Gending Sriwijaya dance, functioning as a welcoming performance, embodies values of respect and hospitality while employing symbolic properties such as tanggai, tepak, and prindon. Movements such as Siguntang Mahameru, Mudra, Sembah, and Tolak Arus carry profound philosophical meanings. In addition to its religious functions, the dance also plays roles in education, performance, and cultural tourism. These findings suggest that the Gending Sriwijaya dance has significant potential as an instructional medium in teaching local culture within formal education, while also strengthening students’ understanding of the nation’s cultural, philosophical, and religious values.
