Abstract

Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way Anova. OF BLOOD PRESSURE AND PULSE ALTERATION AT VARIOUS EXERCISE INTENSITIES IN CYCLIST AbstractIntensity was an important part of exercise in cycling with pulse as one of the parameter. This research intented to determine differences of blood pressure and pulse alteration at various exercise intensity in cyclist. The population was 11 cyclists of Pegasus Continental Cycling Team. The data measured during April-June 2015. Sampling technique used total sampling. One Way ANOVA used to analyze the data. F count pulse with the exercise intensity was 3,695 ≥ 3,316 F table with probability 0.037 0.05, showed significant differences between pulse changes with different exercise intensities. F count systolic pressure with exercise intensity was 2.372 ≤ 3.316 F table with probability 0.111 0.05, showed insignificant difference between systolic pressure changes with various exercise intensities. F count diastolic pressure with exercise intensity was 0.852 ≤ 3.316 F table with probability 0.327 0.05, showed insignificant difference between diastolic pressure changes with various exercise intensities.

Abstract

Providing food for athletes is a special institutional arrangement that caters to athletes' specific needs. Athletes have different nutritional requirements than the non-athlete population, as they need more nutrients to compensate for the energy expended during training, competitions, and recovery after matches. Additionally, athletes must focus on fluid intake and sufficient nutrients to support post-training recovery for optimal performance. Therefore, meeting the needs and satisfaction of athletes becomes a crucial goal for athlete food service. Satisfaction can be assessed based on various indicators such as variety of menu and ingredients, suitable portion size, taste, serving time, packaging, and food handler hygiene. This study aims to assess athletes' satisfaction with the food service in athlete dormitories. The research is an observational survey with a cross-sectional approach involving 159 athletes aged 13-19 years from PPLP West Java, PPLP DIY, PPLP NTB, and SKO Cibubur. Data collection took place in May and July 2022. The research instrument used was a customer satisfaction survey questionnaire with a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4, where one indicates 'very poor' and four indicates 'excellent.' The analysis technique used Pearson correlation in SPSS 16.0 software. The research showed a relationship between menu variety, ingredient variety, suitable portion size, serving time accuracy, food packaging, serving area, food handler hygiene, food presentation, and food taste with athletes' satisfaction level. Serving time accuracy, food packaging, hygiene, cleanliness of the serving area, food handler hygiene, food appearance, and taste correlate strongly with satisfaction.

Abstract

Athletes are a group that has experienced changes, especially regarding their eating patterns and physical activities, during Covid-19. Several studies have found changes in eating patterns, particularly in the frequency and types of food consumed, among adolescent athletes during Covid-19. A study showed that changes in eating patterns during the isolation of the pandemic influenced female athletes more than males. Female athletes found challenges in fulfilling energy needs and fighting with their body image. However, their adherence and awareness to consuming healthy food are better than male athletes. Based on the background, this research aims to explore the overview of changes in eating patterns and the relations with gender among adolescent athletes in Indonesia who train at the Student Sports Training Center (PPOP) during Covid-19. This study is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study subjects were 139 athletes from six sports groups and 25 sports branches conducted in July-August 2021. Data collection was done through online questionnaires via Google Forms consisting of questions regarding changes in eating patterns, amount of food intake, types of food consumed, methods of food preparation, quality of food consumed, and frequency of meals per day. This study obtained ethical approval with the number KE/1174/11/2021. Through data analysis using the Chi-square test, it was found that there was no statistical association between gender and changes in eating pattern variables of adolescent athletes in PPOP DKI Jakarta during Covid-19.
