Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that there are no available learning resources in accordance with the conditions and situations of everyday students in the border area. This research aims to (i) design student’s worksheets which are valid and practical; (ii) determine the potential effects or the effectiveness of students worksheet toward student outcomes in learning number pattern. The development research method was used which is consist of preliminary study and formative evaluation. Data is collected through documentation studies, walkthrough, tests, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study show that: (i) this research has produced student’s worksheets in line with ethnomathematics of Timor-based weaving valid and practical. Validity criteria are obtained from the validator's assessment which examines three aspects namely construct, content and language; Practical criteria are based on the results of trials in the small group by involving 4 students with different abilities and 31 students in the field test stage; and (ii) Student’s worksheet also has potential effect toward student’s achievements in learning the concepts and applications of number pattern in solving problems. There were 26 of 31 students (83.85%) which fulfill the minimum criteria while 16.12% of them still below the standard. It means that student’s outcomes on number pattern were highest than schools standard (70%).

Abstract

This research development aims to producing a valid, practical, and useful deferential calculus teaching material. The teaching material referred to this study is a student worksheet with a constructivism approach. Itapplied development research method with formative research type. It was conducted in two stages, namely preliminary analysis and formative evaluation stage.The results of the experts'validation stated that the teaching material developed has reached thecorrect category. The results of one-on-one trials class indicate that the developed the material can be accepted and be used. Furthermore, field trial results, which was conducted to see the effectiveness aspect, have met the criteria. In the other world, the current research has produceda valid, practical, and usefulderivative calculus teaching material that focuses on teaching material and its supporting components, including syllabus, and lesson plans.

Abstract

Financial literacy has become a global trend and the need for individuals to take responsibility for their finances. Still, financial literacy and financial management have not yet become a course in some universities, especially Timor University, which lies in the border area of Indonesia-Timor Leste (BAITL). Economic literacy and student financial management levels need to be analyzed because they relate to expenditure, income, credit, savings, and investments. This study aimed to evaluate financial literacy level and personal financial management level among college students in BAITL. This research includes quantitative descriptive analysis. Data was collected using a questionnaire from 165 undergraduate college students in the mathematics education department of a public university in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia. The results showed that the total average level of student financial literacy (SFL) was 67.48%. The comprehensive middle student personal finance management (SPFM) is 57.34%, and the estimated result of the linear regression model is SPFM = 3.158 + 0.338SFL. These results were significant at a degree of freedom of 163 and Alpha 5% of the t-test results. From the study results, it can conclude that the personal financial management of students of mathematics education is still low. The level of financial literacy of students in the border area includes less literate. If the SFL is a fixed value, then each increase in SFL of 1 unit will increase SPFM 0.338.

Abstract

Skripsi ini dengan judul: “Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD Materi Himpunan pada Kelas VII SMP Negeri Nunufafi”. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh peningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi himpunan melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD di kelas VII SMP Negeri Nunufafi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subyek dalam penelitian ini Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA SMP Negeri Nunufafi, yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) hasil tes (2) lembar observasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan dengan menerapakan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri Nunufafi. Dari hasil penelitian maka persentase ketuntasan kelas pada siklus I sebesar 42,10% meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 78,94%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapakan model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika kelas VII SMP Negeri Nunufafi.

Abstract

Community Services in Solving Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) for Preparing Students to Take UTBK-SBMPTN Having a Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) score is a mandatory requirement for prospective students who continue their studies at public universities through the SBMPTN. The Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) is one of the materials in UTBK that really needs to be taught to students before taking UTBK. This community service aims to increase students' knowledge and skills in solving TPS problems. This PKM activity involved 47 class XII students majoring in Science, Social Studies and Language at SMAN 1 Kefamenanu and LBKP U-Genius Kefamenanu. The training was held for 8 weeks, with 120 minutes per meeting every weeks. PKM results show that there was an increase in students' cognitive abilities in solving TPS questions. In the pre-test, the lowest score was 70 and the highest was 230 out of a maximum score of 250. The average student got a score of 125.7. At the time of the post test, the lowest score was 100 and the highest was 250 from the maximum score of 250. The average was 193.8. Thus there was an increase in the student's score on the TPS test material by around 64.8%.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah guru dapat membuat artikel ilmiah dan mengetahui respon guru dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan. Sasaran PKM 15 guru Matematika dan IPA di Kefamenanu Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) yang sudah memiliki draft artikel, sedang menjalani penelitian, dan memiliki ide penelitian namun tidak mampu mengeksekusinya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk mengakomodir kebutuhan guru agar didampingi menghasilkan karya tulis. Metode dalam PKM ini adalah pendampingan pelatihan. Guru-guru dibagi ke dalam masing-masing bidang studi dan dimentori oleh satu Dosen sesuai bidang studi. Materi pelaksanaan dibuat dalam dua pertemuan: pelatihan tatap muka dan pendampingan online. Hasil dari pelatihan adalah semua guru dapat merumuskan ide penelitian ke dalam template yang disediakan. Hasil dari pendampingan adalah semua guru sudah memiliki draft penelitian dan satu guru IPA sudah membentuk draft penelitian ke dalam artikel ilmiah dan siap di-submit ke jurnal online. Respon peserta berdasarkan kuesioner yang diberikan adalah untuk aspek pelaksanaan pelatihan: 71,5% peserta puas, aspek narasumber: 57,625% peserta puas serta aspek fasilitas/benefit yang didapat: 67% peserta sangat puas. Hasil menunjukan peserta memiliki motivasi positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini terutama terhadap proses dan manfaat yang didapat selama kegiatan sehingga kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi suatu kegiatan yang regular dilakukan.

Abstract

This service is based on changes in the mechanism and substance of the implementation of National Selection for Student Admissions (SNPMB). This transition is something new for prospective students and if prospective students do not understand it, it will 0certainly have a bad impact on the readiness of prospective students in participating in the implementation of UTBK-SNBT. The procedure for implementing the service is a sharing session on the implementation of SNPMB 2023, introduction and discussion of the 2023 UTBK-SNBT model questions, as well as an initial ability test on the representation of the 2023 UTBK-SNBT question model based on the latest UTBK-SNBT sub-matter. Then the socialization participants will be given a test to measure their knowledge of the SNPMB 2023 mechanism after the provision of SNPMB 2023 material. The results of this service activity are that more than 90% of prospective university students at SMA Negeri 1 Kefamenanu have understood the mechanism for implementing SNPMB 2023 after participating in the sharing session, based on the ability test, prospective university students do not fully understand the 2023 UTBK-SNBT model questions, and based on the results of the questionnaire, more than 90% of sharing session participants gave a good response to this activity. The results of this activity are important as a measure of understanding of the SNPMB 2023 mechanism and provide an overview of the initial ability of prospective students to answer UTBK 2023 model questions so that follow-up can be known in accordance with these abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of community service activities (PkM) is to strengthen the basic mathematical concepts of slow-learner students in elementary schools. The method used is a workshop in the form of mentoring. The stages of implementing this community service activity start from planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating. The partners in this PkM activity were students at SDN Maubeli, Maubeli Village, Kefamenanu City District, North Central Timor Regency. The number of students involved was 15 people consisting of 9 female students and six male students with ages from 8 years to 10 years. There was an increase in basic math skills from the initial test of 18.44 to 50.77 on the final test. The result of this dedication shows that Puzzle Rumah Penjumlahan can be an alternative to help students learn basic mathematics. We recommend that there be research or community service that targets students who are slow in learning mathematics and students who have difficulty or are unable to learn mathematics since elementary school.

Abstract

Research design is a didactic-oriented research method, predicting student responses before learning and paying attention to student conditions during and at the end of learning. However, comprehensive studies have yet to show trends in design research worldwide. This study investigates design research trends through bibliometric study of widespread and open-access databases, namely the Google Scholar and Scopus databases, from 2012 to 2022. We reviewed 997 documents from Google Scholar and 94 from the Scopus database on Harzing's Publish or Perish (PoP) 8.7.4245.8399 version on March 10, 2023. The descriptive analysis approach was employed to analyze the data; data from PoP was processed using Microsoft Excel and VoSViewer. The vizualitation show that there are four significant clusters related to design research are the learning process, local instructional theory, realistic mathematics education, and didactical design research. The findings can help scholars identify design research trends and guide future investigations because in the last three years (2020-2022), there aren’t recent research related to design research. Future research should compare Google Scholar, Scopus, other sources to investigate more years, and deepen meta-analysis on design research. Abstract

Literasi keuangan dapat diartikan sebagai pengetahuan keuangan, dengan tujuan mencapai kesejahteraan. Mengajarkan finansial yang baik sejak awal berdampak pada anak sendiri yaitu anak dapat mengelola keuangan sendiri dengan baik. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini yaitu mengajarkan anak menabung sejak dini agar mereka dapat mengelola keuangan secara mandiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi secara langsung kepada siswa mengenai pentingnya literasi keuangan bagi siswa. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan baik, banyak siswa yang antusias untuk bertanya mengenai pentingnya literasi keuangan. Beberapa siswa bertanya menggunakan bahasa yang sederhana kepada tim pengabdian mengenai manfaat dari menabung untuk pribadinya serta bagaimana cara menabung yang baik untuk mendapatkan nilai yang banyak. Dalam mengatasi kebiasaaan tidak menabung sejak dini, Tim pengabdian membagikan celengan kepada setiap siswa agar mereka dapat menyisihkan uang yang diberikan orangtua kepada mereka di celengan yang dibagikan. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini siswa memperoleh wawasan mengenai manfaat literasi keuangan bagi diri mereka masing-masing
