Abstract

The author tries to link the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Wathon to the improvement in the quality of learning the Al Qur'an Hadith, because there are significant differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Education Unit Level Curriculum, starting from planning, implementation to evaluation in all formats much different and can be said to be a complement or complement to the previous curriculum format, namely the Education Unit Level Curriculum. This research was conducted regarding studies related to the Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Improving the Quality of Al-Qur'an Hadith Learning at Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Wathon Campurejo Panceng Gresik. In the implementation of learning the Al Qur'an Hadith Subject Teachers have implemented the contents of the Learning Implementation Plan based on the 2013 curriculum concept by using a Scientific Approach including observing, asking, trying, associating, communicating which are the characteristics of the curriculum, up to learning evaluation Al Qur'an Hadith Subject Teachers have applied the concept of authentic assessment in the 2013 Curriculum in the realm of attitudes, knowledge, and skills by using process, product, and attitude assessment models.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital-based gamification on students’ motivation and grammar comprehension in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. Grammar learning is often perceived as difficult and monotonous, which can reduce engagement and mastery. To address this challenge, Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) was implemented, integrating elements such as points, challenges, leaderboards, and instant feedback to create an interactive and motivating environment. A mixed-method design was employed, including pre-tests and post-tests to measure grammar comprehension, motivation questionnaires to assess engagement, semi-structured interviews to explore students’ perceptions, and classroom observations to monitor participation. Findings reveal that DGBL significantly improved both grammar understanding and student motivation. Students reported that gamified activities were enjoyable, challenging, and supported independent learning, while quantitative data indicated higher post-test scores and increased motivation levels. These results suggest that digital-based gamification can be an effective instructional strategy to enhance active participation, comprehension, and learner autonomy in EFL grammar instruction. However, careful consideration is needed to ensure equitable access to technology and alignment of game elements with learning objectives. Overall, the study highlights the potential of gamification to transform grammar learning into a more engaging and effective educational experience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Ibnu Khaldun's philosophy of education in the development of the Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia, which continues to experience dynamics due to government curriculum policy changes. The method employed is a literature review and conceptual analysis of Ibnu Khaldun’s work, Muqaddimah, focusing on his educational concept that emphasizes the importance of social, economic, and political environments as well as the gradual integration of both worldly and religious knowledge. The study's findings reveal that Ibnu Khaldun's philosophy of education is highly relevant to the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in addressing the challenges of globalization and technological advancement. His approach, which prioritizes the integration of knowledge and the character development of students, offers a solution to the prevailing low spiritual and social attitudes among learners. This research contributes by providing a strong theoretical foundation for developing a more adaptive, relevant Islamic education curriculum that emphasizes moral and ethical formation, thereby enhancing the quality of Islamic education in line with contemporary developments.

Abstract

This study examines the values ​​of Islamic religious education contained in the reliefs of the tomb of Sunan Sendang Duwur in Lamongan, East Java. The object of this study is the reliefs found in the site of the tomb of Sunan Sendnag Duwur located in Sendang Duwur Village, Paciran District, Lamongan Regency, East Java Province. The purpose of the study was to identify and analyze Islamic teachings represented through the symbols and ornaments found in the reliefs. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with caretakers, and literature reviews. The results of the study indicate that these reliefs contain values ​​of faith, piety, and noble morals, which are represented through geometric, flora, and fauna motifs. The discussion reveals that these ornaments have symbolic meanings that teach monotheism, the importance of morals, and the relationship between humans and nature and others. The conclusion of this study is that the reliefs of the tomb of Sunan Sendang Duwur serve as a medium for Islamic education, which conveys spiritual and moral teachings to the community.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gagasan peneliti yang memfokuskan pada pengembangan metodologi spasial dalam studi agama untuk mencari keterlibatan sirkuler antar agama, baik sosial, budaya, politik, dan ekonomi, bernama Kim Knott. Pemikiran Knott yang dikaji dalam artikel ini adalah studi agama perspektif Insider dan Outsider. Perspektif Insider dalam studi Islam dimaksudkan bahwa pengkajian Islam dilakukan oleh orang-orang Islam sendiri. Sedangkan perspektif outsider dalam studi Islam dimaksudkan bahwa pengkajian Islam dilakukan oleh orang-orang non Muslim seperti Orientalis. Artikel ini dikategorisasikan sebagai penelitian kepustakaan. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis deskriptif-eksploratif yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman dengan mengikutsertakan tiga unsur analisis: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pembuatan simpulan Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan sebagai berikut: pertama, perspektif insider-outsider dalam studi Islam dilatari oleh perdebatan serius di kalangan sarjana Barat tentang motivasi dan konstribusi mereka yang melakukan kajian agama Sikh. Kedua, dalam perspektif Antropologi, studi Islam perspektif insider-outsider membutuhkan pendekatan etik dan emik. Ketiga, kontribusi Knott dalam studi Islam adalah menjaga objektivitas dan netralitas dalam melakukan kajian Islam, baik sebagai insider maupun outsider
