Abstract

When the Merapi eruption happened in 2010, members of the Disaster Risk Reduction Forum (FPRB) as well as disaster communicators in Sumber Village, Magelang Regency, still had limitations in using communication and information technology to carry out disaster mitigation. As a result, community-based disaster mitigation communication tools and training are required. This service will be implemented by providing training and assistance to participants on how to use cold lava communication monitoring tools. According to the findings, 85 percent of the participants improved their knowledge and skills in the area of community-based disaster communication. As a result of this service, the Sumber Village FPRB community now has a monitoring tool that can also be used as a disaster communication tool.

Abstract

Karti Aji Toglengan is an MSME engaged in woven bamboo craftsmen who were economically affected during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this service is to empower through digital marketing training in order to find a wider market and proper financial management training. Based on observations, in order to support Karti Aji's MSME production, the team carried out digital marketing training, financial administration management training, and provided tool grants. The results of the community service program are an increase in the empowerment of Karti Aji's MSME partners, namely an increase of 85% in knowledge aspect related to digital marketing and 80% in MSME financial management aspect. This program is expected to support the business sustainability of Karti Aji's MSMEs, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This community service program is motivated by empirical facts that the management and preparation of financial reports are not in accordance with standard accounting financial reporting standards at BUMDes Taman Karya Menunggal Tamantirto, Kasihan, Bantul. There is a need to increase the capacity of human resources (HR) in BUMDes, especially in financial management capabilities. The purpose of this activity is to increase HR capacity in terms of financial reporting and company services owned by Tamantirto Village. The methods used were (1) focus group discussions with BUMDes Taman Karya Manunggal, (2) Training on making BUMDes financial reports, and (3) providing tools for preparing financial reports. The result of this activity was an increase in participants' understanding of 80% regarding the importance of BUMDes financial management and financial reports. In addition, there is also an 85% increase in knowledge of making a financial management system.

Abstract

The organizational problem of ‘Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PCA) Ngampilan is the diversity of the community which is often referred to as the "abangan" area because there are still many people whose lifestyle is still dominated by pre-Islamic Javanese traditions. In dealing with this situation, PCA Ngampilan must have strong institutional values, one of which is strengthening organizational communication. The purpose of this activity is to increase the understanding of leaders within the organization and internal organizational communication regarding the use of social media. Activities are carried out in several stages, namely initial assessment, socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The community service program went very well where PCA Ngampilan's knowledge related to leadership in organizational communication and the use of social media increased by up to 85%.

Abstract

Pimpinan Cabang Aisyiyah (PCA) Ngampilan, at the Law and Human Rights Council, emphasized studies with a gender perspective that are in accordance with Islamic values, focusing on preventing violence against women and children. Community service is conducted to enhance media literacy related to preventing violence against women and children at PCA Ngampilan. This service aims to augment knowledge and provide assistance to PCA Ngampilan and the community regarding the protection of women and children using an Islamic approach. Activities involve socialization and content creation training about the importance of protecting women and children. This activity resulted in an 85% increase in knowledge about preventing violence against women and children.

Abstract

This community service program is motivated by the phenomenon of financial literacy, particularly in managing and planning finances within the family realm in the Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, where many individuals experience difficulties managing daily and monthly finances. As a result, many people become trapped in debt due to weak household financial management. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve financial literacy, especially in household financial management, among members of the Ngestiharjo 'Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PRA) and the surrounding community in Bantul Regency. This program initiative addresses challenges in Kasihan District, including difficulties in managing daily and monthly finances and the rising problems of debt caused by inadequate financial management. Empirical data from a survey of 40 community members at Perum SBI Ngestiharjo, Bantul Regency, highlights the urgency for targeted training. The service employs a participatory seminar method, which directly involves participants in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities. Additionally, the training incorporates the use of a budget planning application and emphasizes financial management that aligns with Islamic values. The results of the community service indicate that the program has achieved its objectives, significantly improving financial literacy and management practices among PRA Ngestiharjo members and the surrounding community. The assessment reveals that the training effectively promotes financial literacy and awareness of Islamic financial management principles among Muslim households. Following the training, the financial literacy of Muslim household participants increased from 36% to 100%.

Abstract

The Merapi slopes area in Sleman is a disaster-prone region that also serves as a potential destination for jeep tourism. The main challenges faced are a lack of digital promotion capacity and disaster preparedness. This community service aimed to enhance the economic independence and safety of the Merapi Jeep Community by strengthening digital promotion, implementing a Disaster Response Information System (SIMANTAB), and developing Safe Tourism SOPs. The implementation methods included socialization, training, technology application, and mentoring. Interventions encompassed digital marketing training, SIMANTAB integration, SOP development, and fulfillment of safety standards (SNI helmets). The program results showed a significant increase in partner understanding (averaging over 80%) in disaster mitigation and digital marketing aspects, as well as 88% success in developing Safe Tourism SOPs. This program impacted professionalism, tourist trust, and income potential. Program sustainability is ensured through the formation of a local master trainer team, establishing an effective collaborative model for sustainable tourism in disaster-prone areas.
