Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the skills of interpersonal communication between counselors and students, school staff, and parents. The approach used mixed method, with the type of evaluation research. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire interpersonal communication skills and interview guides interpersonal communication skills. Subject of research is three counselors in one of SMK Negeri Malang. The results showed that interpersonal communication skills counselors with students, school staff, and parents are performing well with an average percentage score of 81.7%. The results of this study helpful for counselors as consideration in the development of interpersonal communication skills. Therefore, it is expected for counselors in order to continue to develop interpersonal communication skills with students, school staff, and parents through training / workshops.

Abstract

Peneliti menemukan permasalahan yang dilatar belakangi pengalaman PPL peneliti di SMAN 1 Kediri,  yaitu adanya perbedaan perilaku yang menggambarkan motivasi belajar antara siswa Jawa dan Papua. Siswa Jawa terlihat penuh antusias, tekun, lebih berminat, dan kritis dalam belajar dibandingkan dengan siswa Papua.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Motivasi belajar siswa Jawa (2) Motivasi belajar siswa Papua (3) Perbedaan motivasi belajar antara Siswa yang Berasal dari Jawa dan Papua.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitian komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMAN 1 Kediri yang berjumlah 1.027 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel Papua dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sample dengan jumlah sampel penelitian yaitu 7 siswa, sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel Jawa dilakukan dengan teknik sampling kuota dengan jumlah sampel penelitian yaitu 7 siswa. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner motivasi belajar.Analisis data secara deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa Jawa dengan nilai 131 (kategori sangat tinggi) dan siswa Papua dengan nilai 107 (kategori tinggi).Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0.05 (0.018 lebih kecil dari 0.05).Hal ini berarti ada perbedaan motivasi belajar antara siswa yang berasal dari Jawa dan Papua. Motivasi belajar siswa Jawa  lebih tinggi dibandingkan motivasi belajar siswa Papua.Berdasarkan simpulan hasil penelitian, bahwa siswa Papua memiliki motivasi belajar yang lebih rendah dibandingkan siswa Jawa maka diharapkan guru BK dapat memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar seluruh siswa khususnya siswa Papua. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Siswa Jawa, Siswa Papua

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to know: (1) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselors and students, (2) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and school staff, (3) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and parents. Used study evaluation using a mixed method design, which combined quantitative and qualitative methods. Mixed Methods is a research method that use more than one method or with a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research instrument consists of a questionnaire of interpersonal communication skills and interpersonal communication skills interview guide. Results of research resulted in the description and analysis (1) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselors and students, (2) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and school staff, (3) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and parents.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di kota Kediri sering ditemui siswa yang memiliki kemampuan akademik yang baik namun kurang berprestasi. Salah satu faktor penting yang mempengaruhi siswa kurang berprestasi karena kurangnya kemampuan siswa mengatur dirinya dalam belajar (self-regulated learning). Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa adalah pendekatan Konseling Singkat Berfokus Solusi. Karakteristik dari konseling ini adalah berfokus solusi, singkat, praktis, berorientasi tujuan, masa sekarang dan masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun panduan konseling singkat berfokus solusi untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa SMP yang memenuhi kriteria keberterimaan melalui uji ahli, uji kelompok kecil dan uji kelompok terbatas serta menghasilkan suatu panduan Konseling Singkat Berfokus Solusi yang teruji efektif untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa SMP. Desain penelitian ini diadaptasi dari prosedur Borg & Gall (1983) yang dikemas dalam tiga tahapan yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan dan uji coba. Kegiatan pada tahap studi pendahuluan adalah melakukan need asessment, studi literatur, menentukan subjek penelitian. Hasil uji ahli dengan menggunakan interrater agreement model menunjukkan kriteria 1 dalam artian prototipe yang dikembangkan dinilai sangat akseptabel. Begitu pula dengan hasil penilaian ahli produk yang diolah dengan uji statistik dekriptif menunjukkan rerata atau mean 3,57 dengan standar deviasi 0,50 artinya prototype yang dikembangkan telah akseptabel. Penilaian ahli isi yang diolah dengan uji statistik dekriptif menunjukkan rerata atau mean 3,46 dengan standar deviasi 0,58 artinya prototype yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi syarat keberterimaan. Hasil uji efektifitas menggunakan multiple baseline cross subjects terhadap tiga orang siswa, menunjukkan hasil yang nyata bahwa setelah mengikuti kegiatan konseling singkat berfokus solusi rata-rata siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan self-regulated learning. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil skor skala self-regulated learning siswa berkategori rendah dan sedang pada baseline dan meningkat menjadi tinggi dan sangat tinggi pada intervensi. Hal ini berarti bahwa panduan Konseling Singkat Berfokus Solusi efektif untuk membantu meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada konselor untuk menerapkan Konseling Singkat Berfokus Solusi di sekolah untuk membantu meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan agar melakukan penelitian untuk skala yang lebih luas lagi. Selain itu, perlu dilakukan penilaian keefektifan konseling singkat berfokus solusi setelah beberapa saat dilakukan intervensi konseling singkat berfokus solusi (misalnya hasil belajar akhir semester). Kata Kunci: panduan konseling singkat berfokus solusi, self regulated learning Abstract This research is motivated by one of the Junior High Schools (SMP) in the city of Kediri often found students who have good academic abilities but lack achievements. One of the important factors that influence students' underachievement is due to the lack of students' ability to regulate themselves in learning (self-regulated learning). One approach that can be used to improve students' self-regulated learning is the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach. The characteristics of this counseling are solution focused, concise, practical, goal oriented, present and future. This study aims to develop a solution-focused short counseling guide to improve self-regulated learning for junior high school students who meet the acceptance criteria through expert testing, small group testing and limited group testing and to produce a Solution Focused Short Counseling guide that has been proven effective for improving self-regulated learning. junior high school students. The design of this study was adapted from the procedure of Borg & Gall (1983) which was packaged in three stages, namely preliminary study, development and trial. Activities at the preliminary study stage are conducting need assessments, literature studies, determining research subjects. The results of the expert test using the interrater agreement model showed criterion 1 in the sense that the prototype developed was considered very acceptable. Likewise, the results of product expert assessments processed by descriptive statistical tests showed a mean or mean of 3.57 with a standard deviation of 0.50 meaning that the prototype developed was acceptable. The content expert's assessment which was processed by descriptive statistical tests showed an average or mean of 3.46 with a standard deviation of 0.58, meaning that the prototype developed had met the acceptance requirements. The results of the effectiveness test using multiple baseline cross subjects on three students, showed tangible results that after participating in short solution-focused counseling activities, on average, students experienced an increase in self-regulated learning skills. This can be seen from the results of the self-regulated learning scale scores of students in the low and medium categories at the baseline and increased to high and very high in the intervention. This means that the Solution Focused Short Counseling guide is effective in helping to improve student self-regulated learning. Therefore, it is recommended for counselors to apply Solution Focused Short Counseling in schools to help improve students' self-regulated learning. For further researchers, it is recommended to conduct research on a wider scale. In addition, it is necessary to assess the effectiveness of solution-focused brief counseling after a short solution-focused counseling intervention (eg, end-of-semester learning outcomes). Abstract

This study aimed to obtain accurate data and know the effectiveness of counseling groups that focus on solutions to improve students' independence in decision making. This study uses quasi-experimental research with the quantitative approach. The process of data analysis using descriptive analysis and hypothesis analysis using paired sample t test. Research subjects for this study amounted to 10 respondents who are divided to two groups. Each group consists of 5 students of class XI SMKN 2 Kediri. Results of final data analysis are done by using parametric statistic test that is Independent Sampling Test with significance level 0,05 obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) are 0,000 <0,05 then Ho is rejected. The results from this study indicate that focus group counseling services focused on this solution is effective to improve the independence of decision making students' class XI SMKN 2 Kediri.

Abstract

This article describes and discusses about (1) Punakawan's Symbolic Meaning in Guidance and Counseling, (2) Analysis of symbolic meaning of Punakawan in Guidance and Counseling. Punakawan consists of four (4) personnel namely Semar, Gareng, Petruk and Bagong. In the world of puppetry, Punakawan is known as the nanny satria Pandawa 5 who devoted himself to nurture and become a servant of punakawan. In guidance and counseling, the term servant is equal to a counselor as a helper who helps sincerely to the counselee. That is, Punakawan and Counselor position and position together as a helper to help and memandirikan optimally so that problems from Pandavas / counselees can be resolved properly

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine Semar's "Motivator" personality which is implied in the counselor's personality. A qualitative approach was used with a Gadamerian hermeneutic type. The research's primary data is the text Semar: Dunia Batin Orang Jawa by Tuti Sumukti in 2006 and secondary data in the form of interview notes in 2023 with puppeteer Ki Catur Nugroho (ISI Surakarta lecturer head of the Nugroho Laras Studio, Boyolali Regency). The research results show that Semar as a motivator includes 3 elements as a reflection of the counselor's personality, namely: (1) positive energy, (2) affection, and (3) life goals.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepribadian Semar “Motivator” yang di implikasikan dalam kepribadian konselor. Digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis hermeneutic Gadamerian. Data primer penelitian yaitu teks Semar Dunia Batin Orang Jawa karya Tuti Sumukti Tahun 2006 dan data sekunder berupa catatan wawancara tahun 2023 bersama dalang Ki Catur Nugroho (dosen ISI Surakarta ketua sanggar Nugroho Laras Boyolali). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Semar sebagai motivator meliputi 3 elemen sebagai cerminan kepribadian konselor yaitu: (1) energi positif, (2) Afeksi, dan (3) Tujuan Hidup.

Abstract

This research was conducted while becoming a field work practice supervisor at one of the senior high schools in Kediri City, some students stated that the Counselor did not have empathy as evidenced by the behavior and facial expressions of the counselor. Therefore, according to the facts in the field, the focus of the research taken was "how is the Student Perception of the Empathy Integrated Counselor Personality in high schools in Kediri City?" The research approach used a qualitative descriptive qualitative approach. With 5 students as subjects. The data collection procedure used a depth interview guide, observation guide and field documentation. The results of the study contained 3 aspects of empathy integration, namely: (1) sensitive feelings, (2) being a good listener and (3) mastery of non-verbal language. The conclusion is that the Counselor comprehensively applies empathy according to the empathy procedure. Suggestions recommended: (1) Counselors remain consistent in increasing empathy, (2) an open attitude makes students more trusting of counselors, (3) facilitating counselors in terms of empathy training, (4) further research, there are researchers who develop training related to empathy for counselors. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine: (1) the character of the artifacts in the text Semar Semar, (2) private counselors drawn from the text Semar. Used a qualitative approach with Gadamerian hermeneutic method. Hermeneutic Gadamerian is a kind of hermeneutic research objective (Objectivist hermeneutics). Source data from this study are primary and secondary. The primary data comes from the book What and Who Semar Semar bouquet Sri Mulyono and the Inner Javanese Tuti Sumukti bouquet. Secondary data comes from interviews with Ki Purbo langsug Asmoro, S.Kar, Hum. The results showed that the character of Semar that can diadikan model for personal counselor, namely character (1) counsel, (2) encouragement, (3) prevention, (4) the waiter, (5) friendly, (6) wise, (7) honest (8) concerned. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research and development are as follows: 1) the media format description of the basic attitudes of the conservative model of DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) received by the media and lecturer (2) counselor of the DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) that is acceptable to media experts and prospective counselors (students). Based on the achievement of the two objectives of research and development, the basic attitude attitudes of the DVD Structured Learning Approach (SLA) as the research model will be produced.
