Abstract

Vanda is one of the most cultivated orchid species.  In nature, Vanda is endangered because it was exploited in large quantities. Orchid genetic viability can be maintained by embryo culture. The study aimed to investigate the growth of Vanda helvola seeds during 12 weeks after cultured. Media Murashige and Skoog (MS) added with tomato juice 100 g/L was used as culture medium. The results showed that embryo could grow on MS medium on stadium 6th. Protocorm started to form at 9 weeks after cultured. At 12 weeks, percentage of protocorm formed reach almost 24.1%. Tomato juice improved the growth of protocorm of  V.helvola. Key words: Medium, protocorm, Vanda helvola

Abstract

Abstract

As known reality that occurs in MAN Jombang in class XI IPS 4 students are still not optimal in responding subjects Sociology given by the teacher. Such as, lack of motivation the student, the teacher whose methods are less variable, while noisy student learning, lack of attention, and ignore the sociological subjects. On the basis of the fact that education occurs, investigators will present the implementing of problem solving methods for improving student motivation in Sociology subject class XI IPS 4 at MAN Jombang. Researchers chose the site because you want to apply a form of problem solving methods. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation of learning using problem solving methods to improve students' motivation XI IPS 4 in MAN Jombang With the design of collaborative classroom Action Research type. Data collection techniques were used, namely: (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. Mechanical analysis of qualitative data consisting of observations and documentation analyzed qualitative description, while the data is numeric or quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the percentage and average. The study's findings indicate that the authors offer methods of learning can improve student motivation especially on the subjects of Sociology. Increased motivation on problem solving methods first cycle on average 2.94 (less), increased to 3.95 in the second cycle (enough), the third cycle increases the average to 4.00 (good), and the fourth cycle ride be 4.03 (good).

Abstract

The challenges and efforts to implement the Independent Curriculum in the digital era in Indonesia require a multifaceted approach that discusses issues related to human resources, infrastructure, technology adaptation, and curriculum design. This research aims to identify the challenges and efforts faced in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia in the digital era through literature studies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study examines various scientific articles, books, research reports, and education policies from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. The results show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum faces several major challenges, including the digital divide, the readiness of human resources, and the need to strengthen the cooperation network between education units and related stakeholders. To overcome these challenges, various efforts need to be made, such as the development of technological infrastructure, strengthening the competence of teaching staff, and curriculum and learning reform. This study provides an important overview of the steps that need to be taken to optimize the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the digital context in Indonesia.

Abstract

Orchids are more economical and tall than plants and other decorations. One of the orchids cultivated is the Vanda orchid. Seed orchid size is small and does not have endosperm, so it is not easy to germinate in nature, so tissue culture is one multiplication orchid in amount a lot and a short time. This study aims to know the growth of the seed orchid Vanda helvola on different media for 12 days after plant. Seed orchid V. helvola grown on modified Murashinge and Shoog (MS), modified Vaccin and Wend (VW) media and organic media. The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the UPT Center for Food Crops and Horticulture (BBIPTH), Luwus Tanaban, from February to May 2023. The research method used was observation and experimentation, and the research design used RAK (group random design). Research shows modified MS Media, modified VW and organic capable change seeds orchid V. helvola. Modified MS and modified VW media can induce seed orchid V. helvola germination, and MS media can induce formation protocol.

Abstract

This study describes how the concept of quadratic function graphs is presented in Singaporean mathematics textbooks and its potential in improving critical thinking skills. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with critical thinking criteria set by Facione (2015), namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference . Based on the results of the study, it was found that the presentation of the concept of quadratic function graphs in Singaporean mathematics textbooks, the concept of quadratic function graphs is presented deductively and through investigative activities. As for the potential for presenting the concept of quadratic function graphs, it can develop critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the fulfillment of critical thinking criteria.
